MASSIVE SCALAR PARTICLE IN THE GRAVITATIONAL FIELD OF A MICROCOSMIC BLACK HOLE

The finite motion of a massive scalar particle in the gravitational field of a microcosmic black hole with weak relativistic approximation is discussed. In the Schwarzschild field, using the condition for balance σ=0, we obtain the relation between the produced and captured amplitudes for particles. In the Kerr field we show that the attenuation depends on the moment of the black hole and the attenuation process becomes an exciting one when ωh.     

Chaotic Solitons in Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) Interacting with a Plane Wave

Theoretical analysis of the DNA dynamics reveals that interaction between the single solitons and plane wave implies Smale-horseshoe chaos in the double helices. Solutions of the chaotic solitons are derived from a direct perturbation technique. It is demonstrated that to produce the bounded chaotic solitons, velocities of the solit ons nust be the same and equal to propagation velocity of the plane wave in DNA. The result shows that the DNA structure may be destroyed by the long action of an electromagnetic wave. It also supplies a useful method for controlling the velocities and unboundedness of the DNA motion in a tumour cell by using a plane wave.``     

Asymptotic behavior of positive solutions of semilinear elliptic equations in ℝ n , II

In this paper, we will analyze further to obtain a finer asymptotic behavior of positive solutions of semilinear elliptic equations in R^n by employing the Li＇s method of energy function.

On Δβ and the search for asymptotic scaling in lattice gauge theory

An ansatz for the β-function of SU(3) lattice gauge theory in four dimensions whose parameters are determined by Monte Carlo data is used both to compare different sets of data for Δβ and to study systematic errors. The data for Δβ obtained from different values of the block-spin renormalization group scaling factor are shown to be compatible within statistical errors. However the data is easily consistent with sizeable deviations (ca. 30% or more) from the two-loop approximation to the renormalization group scaling formula for physical quantities in the region of coupling for which Δβ essentially takes on its asymptotic value.
