Vortex Counter-Current Chromatography: Performance of a New Preparative Column

A new preparative column for the vortex counter-current chromatograph was fabricated by making many (966) cylindrical separation units to a high-density polyethylene disk and then threading them with 6–40 taps. The resulting column had a total capacity of 364 mL. The performance of this vortex column was examined with three different two-phase solvent systems each using a set of suitable test samples: hexane–ethyl acetate–methanol–0.1 M hydrochloric acid (1:1:1:1, v/v) for the separation of DNP-amino acids; 1-butanol–acetic acid–water (4:1:5, v/v) for the separation of dipeptides; and hexane–acetonitrile–water (20:15:2, v/v) for the separation of Sudan dyes. Most of the separations show high partition efficiency of over a thousand theoretical plates, as expected based on the results previously obtained in preliminary separations with a small column. Overall, the results of the present study suggest that further improvement of the partition efficiency can be obtained by the modifying column configuration.

     

Two New Meroterpenes from the Mangrove Endophytic Fungus Aspergillus sp. 085241B

Two new meroterpenes, ‘acetoxydehydroaustin B’ ( 1 ) and ‘1,2‐dihydro‐acetoxydehydroaustin B’ ( 2 ) were isolated in the form of a mixed crystal from the mangrove endophytic fungus Aspergillus sp. 085241B. Their structures and absolute configurations were determined by extensive analysis of their spectra and X‐ray diffraction data. In a preliminary bioassay, the mixed crystal did not exhibit activities against cancer cell lines of MDA‐MB‐435, SKBR3, HepG2, HEP3B, PC‐3, and A549, as well as against α‐glucosidase and tyrosinase.     

巨磁电阻氧化物光激发下的光电导效应

通过光激发手段 ,我们观测到 (La ,Ca)MnOδ 输运特性的变化 .对于缺氧类薄膜 ,光照使得薄膜的相变温度提高 .而对富氧类薄膜 ,光照后的输运特性变化则相反 .所有光照后的样品特性在室温下几天后都可以驰豫回到原状态 .结果表明 ,这类巨磁电阻氧化物存在非热效应的光电导性质     

微型化有机合成实验的实践

１前言微型化有机化学实验有降低学生实验费用、节约时间、减少实验的污染物排放、有利于学生实验技能提高等诸多好处，因此，有机化学实验教学工作者一直为微型化有机实验在努力，比较有机化学实验的新老教材，许多有机合成实验的试剂用量都已大大减少［’，’］，但是，真正毫克级的微型化实验对学生来说因操作难度过大而不易实用化。但随着实验技术的发展，在科研中毫克级的合成己广泛应用，因此，对学生进行毫克级的合成反应实验训练已是迫切需要。本文建立了一套在学生实验中实用的薄层色谱操作，并用之于分析、监测反应、判断产物纯度…     

海南地区高速公路沥青路面改建关键技术应用研究

本文以海南西线高速公路路面改建工程为依托,介绍了海南地区高速公路路面改建关键技术应用情况。面层以下基层以及土基的检测与判别、基层病害处治以及原沥青路面再生回收利用是沥青路面改建的关键技术。综合考虑海南地区气候特点和施工条件,提出了三种关键技术地域性实施具体措施,同时对实践情况和改建的效果进行评价,以供今后类似工程作为参考。     

Pyridine‐4‐carb­aldehyde azine

In the crystal structure of the title compound, C₁₂H₁₀N₄, the pyridine ring makes a dihedral angle of 1.12 (9)° with the mean plane of the complete almost planar and crystallographically centrosymmetric mol­ecule. There are stacks of parallel mol­ecules along the a‐axis direction, with alternate stacks having a herring‐bone arrangement relative to each other and an interplanar spacing of 3.551 Å.     

Referential significance of sulfur isotopes and separation of S species in black shales of Southwest China

The states of S species in black shales are very complex, such as organic sulfur, pyrite sulfur and sulphate sulfur. The mineral microtexture, sulfur content and sulfur isotope can indicate the formation conditions and diagenetic processes of the black shales. The S species are separated perfectly and the relation between the content, mineral microtexture and sulfur isotope composition of the sulfur mineral is assessed. These complementary approaches provide people a new insight into the formation conditions of the black shales and redox conditions of Precambrian and Cambrian in Southwest China.     

Improving histogram-based image contrast enhancement using gray-level information histogram with application to X-ray images

Many applications of histogram-based techniques for the purposes of image enhancement are well known. However, these techniques often fail to produce satisfactory results for a broad variety of low-contrast images (e.g., X-ray images). In this paper, we propose a new form of histogram for image contrast enhancement. The input image is first divided into several equal-sized regions according to the intensities of gradients, their corresponding statistical values of gray levels are then modified respectively, and finally the processed histogram for the whole image is obtained by the summation of all the weighted values of regions. The fundamental characteristic of this new form of histogram is that the amplitudes of its components can objectively reflect the contribution of the gray levels to the representation of image information. Accordingly, this new histogram is called gray-level information histogram. The performance of many histogram-based enhancement techniques might be improved dramatically using the proposed histogram. Testing on the X-ray images validates the effectiveness of the new histogram.     

Synthesis, Structure and Thermal Behavior of a New Coordination Polymer Based on Mixed Pyrazine-2-carboxylate and Oxalate Ligands

Abstract  

A new 4d–4f coordination polymer, [AgGd(pyzc)₂(ox)·H₂O)] (1) [pyzc = Pyrazine-2-carboxylate, ox = oxalate] has been successfully synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and structurally determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and power X-ray diffraction. Single-crystal X-ray analysis reveals that it crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2 ₁ /c with a = 10.0746(1) ?, b = 18.642(1) ?, c = 8.0525(2) ?, β = 112.470(1)°, Mr = 617.34, Z = 4, V = 1505.6(2) ?³, μ = 5.732, F(000) = 1164. The Gd(III) ion is nine-coordinated by two O-donors and two N-donors of two different chelating pyzc ligands, four O-donors of two different chelating oxalate ligands, and one O-donor of another carboxylate group of one pyzc ligand. The compound represents a 3D microporous polymeric network constructed by gadolinium–oxalate chains and Ag-pyzc subunits.
