Nanostructured thermoset epoxy resin templated by an amphiphilic poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐poly(dimethylsiloxane) diblock copolymer

An amphiphilic poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PEO–PDMS) diblock copolymer was used to template a bisphenol A type epoxy resin (ER); nanostructured thermoset blends of ER and PEO–PDMS were prepared with 4,4′‐methylenedianiline (MDA) as the curing agent. The phase behavior, crystallization, hydrogen‐bonding interactions, and nanoscale structures were investigated with differential scanning calorimetry, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and small‐angle X‐ray scattering. The uncured ER was miscible with the poly(ethylene oxide) block of PEO–PDMS, and the uncured blends were not macroscopically phase‐separated. Macroscopic phase separation took place in the MDA‐cured ER/PEO–PDMS blends containing 60–80 wt % PEO–PDMS diblock copolymer. However, the composition‐dependent nanostructures were formed in the cured blends with 10–50 wt % PEO–PDMS, which did not show macroscopic phase separation. The poly(dimethylsiloxane) microdomains with sizes of 10–20 nm were dispersed in a continuous ER‐rich phase; the average distance between the neighboring microdomains was in the range of 20–50 nm. The miscibility between the cured ER and the poly(ethylene oxide) block of PEO–PDMS was ascribed to the favorable hydrogen‐bonding interaction. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. On the geometry of infinite cyclic subgroups

In this paper we construct an example of a word metric on an infinite cyclic subgroup. This example shows that subexponential distortion does not obstruct non-trivial growth of connected radii. This answers a question of Gromov [6]. The constructed metric has other pathological properies. Specifically, its asymptotic cone depends on the choice of ultrafilter and scaling sequence. IFS attractors and Cantor sets

We build a metric space which is homeomorphic to a Cantor set but cannot be realized as the attractor of an iterated function system. We give also an example of a Cantor set K in R³ such that every homeomorphism f of R³ which preserves K coincides with the identity on K.     

非完整系统Chetaev动力学和vakonomic动力学的等价条件

就一般非完整约束系统，从约束方程满足的变分恒等式出发，利用增广位形流形上的向量场定义三类非自由变分，即非完整变分：vakonomic变分、Hlder变分、Suslov变分，并讨论它们之间的关系以及它们成为自由变分的充要条件.利用非完整变分以及相应的积分变分原理建立两类动力学方程：vakonomic方程和Routh方程或Chaplygin方程.通过vakonomic方程分别与Routh方程和Chaplygin方程比较，得到它们具有共同解的两类充分必要条件.这些条件并不是约束的可积性条件. 关键词： 非完整约束 非完整变分 Chetaev条件 vakonomic动力学

给出了推广x重新标度模型的重标度参数经验公式,其中建立了重标度参数与原子核的平均结合能之间的联系,由该公式可以得出A≥12的所有核的重标度参数值,利用这些参数值可以计算有关核过程并做出预言.

Attractors and Dimensions for Discretizations of a Dissipative Zakharov Equations

Abstract In this paper, a dissipative Zakharov equations are discretized by difference method.We make priorestimates for the algebric system of equations. It is proved that for each mesh size,there exist attractors forthe discretized system.The bounds of the Hausdorff dimensions of the discrete attractors are obtained,and thevarious bounds are dependent of the mesh sizes.
