ELECTRON PARAMAGNETIC RESONANCE STUDIES OF SINGLE CRYSTAL SODIUM HEXAMOLYBDOCHROMATE (Ⅲ)Cr~(3+)/Na_3(AlMo_6O_(24)H_6)·8H_2O

An X-band EPR study on a Na_3(CrMo_6O_(24)H_6)·8H_2O single crystal diluted by its isomor-phic compound Na_3(AlMo_6O_(24)H_6)·8H_2O at room temperature is reported. Using the least squares-fitting method to simulate the EPR data for principal planes, the Hamiltonian parameterswere obtained. The principal values of the g tensors are g_(ZZ) = 1.904, g_(XX)= 1.973, g_(YY)=1.933. The zero field splitting tensor parameters are D = 0.275 cm~(-1), E = 0.05 cm~(-1). The fielddependence of Cr~(3+) energy levels with field at different angles from the principal axes whenthe field is along the principal planes is calculated based on these experimental parameters.The isofrequency plots of calculated field vs. angle are also shown. They agree well with theexperimental results.     

Aggregate manganese Schiff base moieties by terephthalate or acetate: dinuclear manganese and trinuclear mixed metal Mn2/Na complexes

A reaction system consisting of terephthalic acid, NaOH, inorganic Mn(II) or Mn(III) salt, and salicylidene alkylimine resulted in dinuclear manganese complexes (salpn)(2)Mn(2)(mu-phth)(CH(3)OH)(2) (1, salpn = N,N'-1,3-propylene-bis(salicylideneiminato); phth = terephthalate dianion), (salen)(2)Mn(2)(mu-phth)(CH(3)OH)(2) (2, salen = N,N'-ethylene-bis(salicylideneiminato)), (salen)(2)Mn(2)(mu-phth)(CH(3)OH)(H(2)O) (3), and (salen)(2)Mn(2)(mu-phth) (4), while the absence of NaOH in the reaction led to a mononuclear Mn complex (salph)Mn(CH(3)OH)(NO(3)) (5, salph = N,N'-1,2-phenylene-bis(salicylideneiminato)). In addition, a trinuclear mixed metal complex H[Mn(2)Na(salpn)(2)(mu-OAc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](OAc)(2) (6) was obtained from the reaction system by using maleic acid instead of terephthalic acid. Five-coordinate Mn ions were found in 4 giving rise to an intermolecular interaction and constructing a one-dimensional linear structure. Antiferromagnetic exchange interactions were observed for 1-3, and a total ferromagnetic exchange of 4 was considered to stem from intermolecular magnetic coupling. (1)H NMR signals of phenolate ring and alkylene (or phenylene) backbone of the diamine are similar to those reported in the literature, and the phth protons are at -2.3 to -10.1 ppm. Studies on structure, bond valence sum analysis, and magnetic properties indicate the oxidation states of the Mn ions in 6 to be +3, which are also indicated by ESR spectra in dual mode. Ferromagnetic exchange interaction between the Mn(III) sites was observed with J = 1.74 cm(-1). A quasireversible redox pair at -0.29V/-0.12V has been assigned to the redox of Mn(2)(III)/Mn(III)Mn(II), implying the intactness of the complex backbone in solution.     

~(14)N ENDOR Study on Bis(2-Hydroxylphenyl Ketoxime)-~(63)Cu(Ⅱ) Complex

The ENDOR spectrum of ~(14)N-~(63)Cu-HAP complex in DMSO/EtOH (5:1) freezing solution at 20 K has been studied using orientational selective method in this paper. The anisotropic superhyperfine coupling tensor and qusdrupole coupling tensor of ligand ~(14)N nucleus, and the superhyperfine coupling tensor of various ~1H nuclei have been measured precisely. Comparing the superhyperfine coupling tensor of ~(14)N-nucleus with previous work shows that the analytical method of spectrum is reasonable and the data are reliable in our previous work.     

Application of preparative high-speed counter-current chromatography for separation of methyl gallate from Acer truncatum Bunge

Preparative separation of methyl gallate in leaves extract of Acer truncatum Bunge was conducted using high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) with a solvent system composed of ethyl acetate-ethanol-water at volume ratios of 5:1:5 (v/v/v). In a single operation, 57.5 mg of methyl gallate was obtained from 120 mg of the extract. HPLC analyses of the counter-current chromatography (CCC) fraction revealed that the methyl gallate was having over 97% purity. Its structure was identified by 1H NMR and 13C NMR.

Advanced Current Collectors for Alkali Metal Anodes

High-energy-density batteries are in urgent need to solve the ever-increasing energy storage demand for portable electronic devices, electric vehicles, and renewable solar and wind energy systems. Alkali metals, typically lithium(Li), sodium(Na) and potassium(K), are considered as the promising anode materials owing to their low electrochemical potential, low density, and high theoretical gravimetric capacities. However, the problem of dendrite growth of alkali metals during their plating/stripping process will lead to low Coulombic efficiencies, a short lifespan and huge volume expansion, eventually hindering their practical commercialization. To resolve this issue, a very effective approach is engineering the anodes on structured current collectors. This review summarizes the development of the alkali metal batteries and discusses the recent advances in rational design of anode current collectors. First, the challenges and strategies of suppressing alkali-metal dendrite growth are presented. Then the special attention is paid to the novel current collector design for dendrite-free alkali metal anodes. Finally, we give conclusions and perspective on the current challenges and future research directions toward advanced anode current collectors for alkali metal batteries.

合成子Ｎｉ替代铁酸稀土复合氧化物ＬａＦ３１－ｘＮｉｘＯ３（ｘ＝０．１－０．６），对样品进行了ＸＲＤ、ＩＲ及Ｍｏｓｓｂａｕｅｒ谱测试，结果表明：ｘ＝０＼１，０＼２，０＼３的样品为正交相，ｘ＝０．５，０．６的样品为菱方相；伴随相结构从正交向菱方结构的转变，ＩＲ谱上Ｆｅ（Ｎｉ）－Ｏ键伸振动谱带向高频移动近２０ｃｍ＾－１，Ｍｏｓｓｂａｕｅｒ谱测试表明Ｆｅ均处于＋３自旋态，Ｎｉ离子以＋３价进入晶格。

Cook-Seiford函数的若干推广

用例子指出Cook-seiford函数所得的群排序的不唯一性，并利用计算机模拟实验说明这种情况出现的几率较大，提出Cook-Seiford函数的两种推广：加权的Cook-Seiford函数和基于Minkowski距离的Cook-Seiford函数；解决了Cook-Seiford函数结果不唯一的问题．推广的Cook-Seiford函数还可以用来进行多属性决策．
