This article concerns the analysis of an unsteady stagnation point flow of Eyring-Powell nanofluid over a stretching sheet. The influence of thermophoresis and Brownian motion is also considered in transport equations. The nonlinear ODE set is obtained from the governing nonlinear equations via suitable transformations. The numerical experiments are performed using the Galerkin scheme. A tabular form comparison analysis of outcomes attained via the Galerkin approach and numerical scheme (RK-4) is available to show the credibility of the Galerkin method. The numerical exploration is carried out for various governing parameters, namely, Brownian motion, steadiness, thermophoresis, stretching ratio, velocity slip, concentration slip, thermal slip, and fluid parameters, and Hartmann, Prandtl and Schmidt numbers. The velocity of fluid enhances with an increase in fluid and magnetic parameters for the case of opposing, but the behavior is reversed for assisting cases. The Brownian motion and thermophoresis parameters cause an increase in temperature for both cases (assisting and opposing). The Brownian motion parameter provides a drop-in concentration while an increase is noticed for the thermophoresis parameter. All the outcomes and the behavior of emerging parameters are illustrated graphically. The comparison analysis and graphical plots endorse the appropriateness of the Galerkin method. It is concluded that said method could be extended to other problems of a complex nature.  相似文献

The dispersion relations and Landau damping of Alfven waves in kinetic and inertial limits are studied in temperature anisotropic Cairns distributed plasma.In the case of kinetic Alfven waves(KAWs),it is found that the real frequency is enhanced when either the electron perpendicular temperature or the non-thermal parameter A increases.For inertial Alfven waves(IAWs),the real frequency is slightly affected by the electron temperature anisotropy and A.Besides the real frequency,the damping rate of KAWs is reduced when the electron perpendicular temperature or A increases.In the case of IAWs,the temperature anisotropy and A either enhance or reduce the damping rate depending upon the perpendicular wavelength.These results may be helpful to understand the dynamics of KAWs and IAWs in space plasmas where the non-Maxwellian distribution of particles are routinely observed.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Direct bandgap semiconductors are very essential to fulfil the demand for the advancement in optoelectronic devices. Therefore it is important to predict new potential candidates having such unique features. In current work, Sr3X2 (X=N, P, As, Sb and Bi) compounds have been reported for the first time by well trusted FP-APW+lo method. For the better prediction of the energy band gap, mBJ is used alongwith routine generalised gradient approximation (GGA). The results show small and direct energy band gaps at Γ-Γ symmetry points with magnitude in the range from 0.62?eV (Sr3P2) to zero energy band gap (Sr3Bi2). In partial density of state Sr-d state and X-p state are contributed in the band structure. The compounds show mostly covalent bonding nature. The frequecy dependent optical properties in the linear optical range are also investigated.  相似文献

针对流固耦合传热问题,本文提出了一种基于浸没边界-简化热格子玻尔兹曼方法(immersed boundary method-simplified thermal lattice Boltzmann method,IB-STLBM)的耦合模型.不同于传统的格子玻尔兹曼方法使用分布函数演化流场和温度场,简化热格子玻尔兹曼方法(simplified thermal lattice Boltzmann method,STLBM)的演化过程不需要依赖分布函数,只涉及平衡态分布函数和非平衡态分布函数,能够直接演化宏观量,极大减小了计算过程中所占用的虚拟内存,简化了边界条件的实现方式,同时具有较高的稳定性.传统的浸没边界法对流场的计算采用欧拉网格,对固体边界采用拉格朗日网格,认为固体边界是对流场产生某种体积力.在应用浸没边界法时,汲取介观的思想,把固体的介入看作是对流场的干扰,打破了固体附近流体介观微团颗粒原始的平衡状态,这种干扰可以看作是在耦合边界上产生的一个非平衡项,可用非平衡态分布函数来表示.基于此,在模型中浸没边界法与简化热格子玻尔兹曼方法更紧密联系在一起,更大程度发挥二者的优点,整个计算过程更加简单直观,符合物理特性.通过对热圆柱绕流和内含热颗粒的封闭方腔自然对流问题的模拟以及对其结果的分析,验证了该算法在求解流固耦合传热问题的有效性和可行性.   相似文献

Dodecyl benzenesulfonic acid (DBSA) surfactant was used in the present study to find the effect of concentration on its electrical conductance in solution from 293-323K above and below the critical micelle concentration (CMC). The micellization parameters i.e. degree of counter ion binding (β), aggregation number (n) and number of counter ion micelle(m) were measured. The interaction of DBSA with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) was also studied at 293K throughconductance and surface tension measure ments. A number of important parameters i.e. critical aggregation concentration (CAC), Gibb‘s free energy (△G) and binding ratio (R) were determined and the effect of NaCl on the CAC and polymer saturation point (PSP) was also investigated.  相似文献

Xanthohumol (XN) is the major prenylated flavonoid in hop plants and as such a constituent of beer. Pharmacological studies have shown that XN possesses marked antioxidant and antiproliferative effects. In order to study the resorption and metabolism of this compound, reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography is used for the determination of XN in rat plasma, urine, and feces. In session one, rats receive either oral or intravenous (iv) administration (20 mg/kg body weight) of XN. In session two, rats receive oral administration of 50, 100, 200, 400, and 500 mg/kg body weight XN for bioavailability studies at various dose levels. Plasma, urine, and feces are collected at varying time points and assayed for their XN content. Plasma levels of XN fell rapidly within 60 min after iv administration; no XN is detected in plasma after oral administration in either session. XN and its metabolites are excreted mainly in feces within 24 h of administration. The method is a reliable tool for performing studies of XN in different biological material.  相似文献

Sulfur doped anatase TiO2 nanoparticles (3 nm−12 nm) were synthesized by the reaction of titanium tetrachloride, water and sulfuric acid with addition of 3M NaOH at room temperature. The electro-optical and photocatalytic properties of the synthesized sulfur doped TiO2 nanoparticles were studied along with Degussa commercial TiO2 particles (24 nm). The results show that band gap of TiO2 particles decreases from 3.31 to 3.25 eV and for that of commercial TiO2 to 3.2 eV when the particle sizes increased from 3 nm to 12 nm with increase in sulfur doping. The results of the photocatalytic activity under UV and sun radiation show maximum phenol conversion at the particle size of 4 nm at 4.80% S-doping. Similar results are obtained using UV energy for both phenol conversion and conversion of CO2+H2O in which formation of methanol, ethanol and proponal is observed. Production of methanol is also achieved on samples with a particle size of 8 and 12 nm and sulfur doping of 4.80% and 5.26%. For TiO2 particle of 4 nm without S doping, the production of methanol, ethanol and proponal was lower as compared to the S-doped particles. This is attributed to the combined electronic effect and band gap change, S dopant, specific surface area and the light source used.  相似文献
