Studies on the Binding Mode of Pinacyanol Chloride to Nucleic Acids

The interaction of pinacyanol chloride(PC) with nucleic acids has been investigated by a series of experiments.Extensive hypochromism,appreciable peak shifts,isosbestic points and new peaks of the product of binding to nucleic acids in the spectra were observed.They showed that the interaction between PC and nucleic acids occurred.The results from absorption spectra of DNA,DNA melting,electrophoresis and fluorescence polarization studies have indicated that PC binds to DNA in nonintercalative way.Consistent with the nonintercalation,the studies of fluorescence titration and absorption titration specified that the binding of PC to nucleic acids occurred by an outside stacking binding,in which nucleic acids served for acting templates,The fact that the new absorption peaks of bound PC at ca,485nm are just close to the absorption bands of Haggregate of PC at high concentrations without DNA further supports the outside stacking binding mode,In addition,other evidence indicated that the interaction between PC and nucleic acids is not purely electrostatic.     

Effects of Self—coiling of Organic Molecules on Intramolecular Exciplex Formation and Fluoresscence Quenching in DX—H2O Solvent System

Effects of self-coiling of organic molecules on intramolecular exciplex formation of compound I,in which the carbazole chromophore and terephthalic acid methylester acceptor group are linked by one (CH2)10 chain,and the decrease of the fluorescence intensities of compounds Ⅱ，Ⅲ，and Ⅳ,in which the carbazole chromophore and 3,5-dinitrobenzoate are connected by one aliphatic chain of (CH2)10 (Ⅱ），（CH2）12（Ⅲ）,or (CH2)4(Ⅳ）,have been studied in the dioxane (DX)-H2O binary system.The results show that self-coiling of organic molecules in DX-H2O facilitates intramolecular exciplex formation of I and induces the decrease of fluorescence intensities of Ⅱ,bacause of the proximity effect brought about by selfcoiling of organic molecules under hydrophobic-lipophilic interaction(HLI) between the excited carbazole chromophore and the acceptor.Since the similar effects are observed even when the concentration of the probes are less than their CAgCs(critical aggregate concentrations )in the DX-H2O mixture with the same φ values,formation of the intermolecular exciplex has been excluded.The effects are found to be strongly depended on φ values,indication that they are mainly driven by HLI.The properties of the acceptors can also affect the intramolecular exciplex formation.With terephthalic acid methylester moiety as the acceptor,the carbazole chromophore exhibits the fluorescence spectra of the exciplex,while with 3,5-dinitrobenzoate moiety as the acceptor,only the fluorescence spectra of excited carbazolyl chromophore are observed.

The Action of the Selenomorpholine Compounds on Escherichia coli Growth by Microcalorimetry

The action of three kinds of the selenomorpholine compounds on a strain ofEscherichia coli was studied by microcalorimetry. Differences in their capacities to affect the metabolism of this bacterium were observed. The extent and duration of the effect on the metabolism as judged from the rate constant (k) of Escherichia coli (in log phase) varied with the different drugs. The kinetics show that selenomorpholine compounds had an effect on the metabolism process of Escherichia coli. The k of Escherichia coli in the presence of the drugs increased with the increasing concentrations of the drugs (C) at low concentration; but at high concentration, the rate constant decreased with the increasing concentrations of the drugs. The experimental results reveal that the sequence of antibiotic activity of selenomorpholines is: N-selenomorpholinemethyl succinimide and its hydrochloride>N-(α-selenomorpholinebenzyl) succinimide. Correct identification of polychlorinated biphenyls in temperature-programmed GC with ECD detection

A method has been developed for peak identification of PCBs in GC with ECD detection under different temperature programs and isothermal conditions on two commonly used columns (DB-5 and DB-1701). This was achieved by means of accurate calibration of retention times based on the concept of the relative retention index P (i) and retention times of the selected PCB internal standards. The P (i) was calculated from the predicted retention times with the database of the retention parameters (A, B) and the migration equations. Through comparison of the calibrated and experimental retention times of PCBs in technical samples, it was shown that the developed method was effective for correct PCB comprehensive, quantitative, congener-specific (CQCS) analyses.     

[Ni(dien)2]2[Mn(NCS)6]·H2O的合成、晶体结构

The crystal of [Ni(dien)₂]₂[Mn(NCS)₆]·H₂O was synthesized and the structure of its single crystal was determined by X-ray diffraction. The crystal is monoclinic system, space group P2₁/c with a=16.544(3),b=15.137(2), c=17.334(3)?, β=99.90(1)°, V=4276.3(12)?³, Z=4, D_c=1.479g·cm^-3, M_r=951.55, F(000)=1998, μ=1.489mm^-1, R=0.0399, R_w=0.0958. IR was also determined.     

新型膦配体PDBPDS在氢甲酰化反应中催化剂配体性能的研究

用量子化学 AMI方法优化了 1 -苯基二苯并膦二磺化产物 ( PDBPDS)和三磺化三苯基膦 ( TPPTS)的几何构型 .比较两种化合物的空间结构和电子结构发现 ,在氢甲酰化铑膦催化反应体系中 ,PDBPDS的配体性能优于 TPPTS.首次研究了以 PDBPDS为配体的铑膦催化剂对丙烯氢甲酰化反应的催化性能 ,考察了反应温度、压力、膦铑物质的量比和搅拌速度对催化活性和选择性的影响 .结果表明 ,在 2 .0 MPa,1 0 0℃ ,膦铑物质的量比为 35 ,搅拌速度为 5 0 0 r/min及 V( H2 ) /V( CO) =1 /1的条件下 ,催化活性可达到 2 80 0 g(丁醛 ) /[g(铑 )·h],正异构产物物质的量比为 1 2 .3,在相同条件下与传统的三磺化三苯基膦 ( TPPTS)为配体的铑膦催化剂相比 ,催化活性和选择性提高了 2倍 .反应结束后 ,有机相和水相分离简单 ,有机相铑浓度仅为3.6× 1 0 - 8mol/L,有效地解决了铑流失问题 ,表明 PDBPDS是极具开发前景的新型水溶性配体
