Oxysterols direct immune cell migration via EBI2

Epstein-Barr virus-induced gene 2 (EBI2, also known as GPR183) is a G-protein-coupled receptor that is required for humoral immune responses; polymorphisms in the receptor have been associated with inflammatory autoimmune diseases. The natural ligand for EBI2 has been unknown. Here we describe the identification of 7α,25-dihydroxycholesterol (also called 7α,25-OHC or 5-cholesten-3β,7α,25-triol) as a potent and selective agonist of EBI2. Functional activation of human EBI2 by 7α,25-OHC and closely related oxysterols was verified by monitoring second messenger readouts and saturable, high-affinity radioligand binding. Furthermore, we find that 7α,25-OHC and closely related oxysterols act as chemoattractants for immune cells expressing EBI2 by directing cell migration in vitro and in vivo. A critical enzyme required for the generation of 7α,25-OHC is cholesterol 25-hydroxylase (CH25H). Similar to EBI2 receptor knockout mice, mice deficient in CH25H fail to position activated B cells within the spleen to the outer follicle and mount a reduced plasma cell response after an immune challenge. This demonstrates that CH25H generates EBI2 biological activity in vivo and indicates that the EBI2-oxysterol signalling pathway has an important role in the adaptive immune response.

Low-temperature Heat Capacities and Thermodynamic Properties of Hydrated Sodium Cupric Arsenate [ NaCuAsO4·1.5H2O(s)]

Low-temperature heat capacities of the solid compound NaCuAsO4 · 1.5H2O(s) were measured using a precision automated adiabatic calorimeter over a temperature range of T = 78 K to T = 390 K. A dehydration process occurred in the temperature range of T = 368-374 K. The peak temperature of the dehydration was observed to be TD = (371.828±0.146) K by means of the heat-capacity measurement. The molar enthalpy and entropy of the dehyperimental values of heat capacities for the solid(Ⅰ) and the solid-liquid mixture(Ⅱ) were respectively fitted to two polynomial equations by the least square method. The smoothed values of the molar heat capacities and the fundamental thermodynamic functions of the sample relative to the standard reference temperature 298.15 K were tabulated at an interval of 5 K.     

己二胺为核酯为端基的半代树枝状大分子的合成

状态方程计算高分子共混物的比体积

基于一个简单的非均核链流体分子热力学模型,采用不同形式的微扰项,可构筑不同形式的高分子共混物系统的状态方程。方程已被应用于关联聚苯乙烯/聚2,6-二甲基苯醚(PS/PPO)、聚苯乙烯/聚乙烯甲醚(PS/PVME)、聚苯乙烯/聚丁二烯(PS/PBD)、聚醚砜/聚氧乙烯(PESP/PEO)等高分子共混物的比体积。结果显示,用一个与温度无关的二元相互作用可调参数可满意关联所选体系的比体积,并可预测所选体系的比体积。     

One-step polymerization of polytrithiocarbonate using phase-transfer catalyst

A series of aliphatic and aromatic polytrithiocarbonates was prepared using a novel “one-pot” synthesis procedure employing a phase-transfer catalyst. The starting reagents were either an aliphatic or an aromatic dihalide and an excessive amount of carbon disulfide. The effects of the phase-transfer catalyst and reaction conditions on yield were studied. The structure and composition of the polymers and reaction side-products were determined from infrared, ultraviolet, ¹H-NMR spectra, and elemental analyses. The polymers were further characterized by viscosity measurement and thermal analysis. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.     

溴代十六烷基三甲基胺存在下铅与苯基荧光酮显色反应的研究

研究了溴代十六烷基三甲基胺 (CTMAB)存在下 ,铅与苯基荧光酮的显色反应。试验表明 ,铅与苯基荧光酮在CTMAB存在下能够形成稳定的络合物 ,该络合物的λmax=6 2 0nm ,摩尔吸光系数ε =2 .0 7× 10 5L·mol- 1·cm- 1,铅量在 0～ 6 .2 2 μg/ 10ml范围内服从比耳定律。
