Information theory for experiments with known conditional probabilities: Application to the prediction of branching ratios

Information theory is used, under conditions of incomplete data, to provide a maximally conservative prior expectation of a population distribution. This is done by systematically refining the estimates of the full distribution via the incorporation of fragmentary data in the form of conditional probabilities. The net effect is to reduce the available phase space volume of the distribution as more data are incorporated. The above refinements are then applied to calculate estimates of branching ratios for chemical reactions with more than one possible product. Two new branching ratio expressions are derived: one for the case where each product's internal state distribution is known for reactions originating from various specific reactant state?, and when the joint state-to-state reactive probability is known.     

Wavelet based in eigenvalue problems in quantum mechanics

The use of Daubechies' compact support wavelets in quantum mechanical eigenvalue problems is investigated. It is shown that these orthogonal multiresolution functions provide an efficient basis for systems in which the potentials vary strongly in different regions.     

A simple method for extracting both active oily and water soluble extract (WSE) from Nigella sativa (L.) seeds using a single solvent system

The current study provides a way of extraction for both active NSO and WSE from Nigella sativa seeds using 98% methanol. About 1?kg of ground seeds was macerated by 1:2.5 w/v (g/mL) for 72?hours. After rotary evaporation and 7 days of continuous drying and chilling at 50 and 4?°C, NSO and WSE were obtained at the same instant. Solubility tests of 24 solvents and 11 thin layer chromatographic analyses while 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl free radical scavenging assay of NSO (73.66) , WSE (33.32) and NSO?+?WSE (78.22) against ascorbic acid (IC50?=?4.28?mg/mL) was performed. WSE was found to be highly soluble in water and 5% NaOH exhibiting the same Rf value of 0.95 for EtOH:DMSO (9:1) against the honey. WSE has revealed more than twofold higher anti-oxidant activity than others. Formulation of WSE with Tualang honey may provide better targeted hydrophilic drug delivery systems.

以半胱氨酸为配体合成一种新型亚金配合物NH4Au(Cys)2,对该配合物进行元素分析、红外光谱、紫外光谱、热失重分析和导电性测量等理化性质研究;以该亚金配合物为金源开展相关的电镀金工艺探索,并通过四因素三水平的正交试验获得其最佳条件参数;采用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)和X线衍射(XRD)对镀金层的表面质量进行探讨。研究结果表明:该目标产物的分子式为NH4Au(Cys)2·2H2O,该配合物中以半胱氨酸的巯基和金配位为成健特征,在170℃以下热稳定性较好,该亚金配合物是一个典型的离子化合物。在电流密度为200~300 A/m2,p H为10.5~12.0,温度为35~45℃,金质量浓度为15~25 g/L的电镀工艺条件下,得到粒度为0.5~1.0μm的单质金,且主要沿着(111)面进行生长。     

高聚合度Ⅱ-型聚磷酸铵的合成

用聚合反应-热处理两段工艺合成了高聚合度的聚磷酸铵（APP）阻燃材料,其结构经XRD,粒度及平均聚合度表征。优化反应条件为：磷酸氢二铵1mol,n（磷酸氢二铵）：n（五氧化二磷）：n（脲）：1．0：1．0：0．3．干燥氨气氛下于290℃反应30min,再经250℃-280℃后处理100min-110min。APP的平均聚合度大于150,粒度小于50μm。
