The photochemistry of cyanine J-aggregates on the surface of colloidal Ag nanoparticles is reported. The photochemistry is initiated through ultrafast photoexcitation of the plasmon band in Ag nanoparticles, producing an enhanced near-field that interacts with the J-aggregate monolayer. Through transient absorption spectroscopy, we show that photoexcitation of the plasmon in Ag nanoparticles leads to exciton dynamics that differ strongly from J-aggregates alone or for J-aggregate monolayers on bulk metal surfaces. Specifically, charge-separated states with a lifetime of approximately 300 ps between the J-aggregate and Ag colloid are formed. The reduction of the Ag nanoparticles is shown to be a multielectron process.  相似文献

Precise determination of uranium concentration in human urine is quite important in assessment of occupational and public exposure to uranium. In the present work, a pulsed dye nitrogen laser-induced kinetic phosphorescence analysis (KPA) was used to determine uranium in urine of Iraqi phosphate mine and fertilizer plant workers and in the population living near the mining region. A total of 92 urine samples were collected from workers of the Akashat phosphate mine, the Al-Qaim fertilizer complex, and the Akashat residential region. Uranium concentration in urine of all samples ranged between 0.49 to 5.26 μg L?1 with a total average of 1.47 ± 0.01 μg L?1. For comparison, all samples were also analyzed using a completely different technique; the nuclear fission track analysis using CR-39 SSNTD. Both techniques were capable of such measurements, although not with an equal degree of uncertainty. KPA technique is found to be more suitable for analysis of urine samples having high concentrations of uranium.  相似文献

The sensitive and simple technique of fission track etch has been applied to determine trace concentration of uranium in blood samples for occupational and non-occupational workers, male and female, using CR-39 track detector that is employed for registration of induced fission tracks. The results show that the highest recorded uranium concentration in human blood of workers in the ministry of Science and Technology were 1.90 ppb (male, 36 years old, 12 years' work experience, and living in Basrah governorate) and minimum concentration 0.26 ppb (female, 40 years old, 10 years' work experience, and living in Baghdad), while for non-occupational worker, the maximum uranium concentration was 1.76 ppb (female, 63 years old, and living in Al-Muthana) and minimum concentration was 0.28 ppb (female, 20 years old, and living in Baghdad). It has also been found that the uranium concentration in human blood samples of workers in the ministry of Science and Technology are higher than those of non-occupational workers, and the uranium concentrations for female workers and for non-occupational workers were higher than those for male workers and non-occupational workers.  相似文献

Sofosbuvir (SOF) and ledipasvir (LED) are recently approved and coformulated as directly acting antiviral agents used for treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV). A reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography - diode array detector (RP-HPLC/DAD) method was developed and validated for the first time for the analysis of newly formulated anti-HCV combination, in pure form, pharmaceutical formulation and in human plasma. In the developed method, separation was performed on Zorbax® Eclipse C18 column using a gradient mixture of acetonitrile–water as a mobile phase and scanning was performed at 260?nm (for SOF) and 330?nm (for LED). The two drugs were completely separated from each other and from plasma, where plasma peak appeared at 2.76?±?0.05?min, SOF at 4.25?±?0.05, and LED at 7.35?±?0.05. The developed method showed high sensitivity, the drugs showed linearity in the range of 1–45?µg/mL for both pure form and spiked human plasma. Three freeze–thaw cycles were performed separately at two different temperatures, ?8 and ?20°C. No significant loss of the studied drugs were observed during repeated thawing and freezing. Validation parameters such as accuracy, precision, robustness, and ruggedness were tested in compliance with USP recommendations, where acceptable results were obtained. Applying to pharmaceutical formulation showed no interference from tablet excipients.  相似文献

A series of chloro- and bromopyridines have been deprotometalated by using a range of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidino-based mixed lithium-metal combinations. Whereas lithium-zinc and lithium-cadmium bases afforded different mono- and diiodides after subsequent interception with iodine, complete regioselectivities were observed with the corresponding lithium-copper combination, as demonstrated by subsequent trapping with benzoyl chlorides. The obtained selectivities have been discussed in light of the CH acidities of the substrates, determined both in the gas phase and as a solution in THF by using the DFT B3LYP method.  相似文献

In this work, a novel NMR method for the identification of preferential coordination sites between physiologically relevant counterions and nucleic acid bases is demonstrated. In this approach, the NMR cross-correlated relaxation rates between the aromatic carbon chemical shift anisotropy and the proton-carbon dipolar interaction are monitored as a function of increasing Na(+), K(+), and Mg(2+) concentrations. Increasing the counterion concentration modulates the residence times of the counterions at specific sites around the nucleic acid bases. It is demonstrated that the modulation of the counterion concentration leads to sizable variations of the cross-correlated relaxation rates, which can be used to probe the site-specific counterion coordination. In parallel, the very same measurements report on the rotational tumbling of DNA, which, as shown here, depends on the nature of the ion and its concentration. This methodology is highly sensitive and easily implemented. The method can be used to cross-validate and/or complement direct but artifact-prone experimental techniques such as X-ray diffraction, NMR analysis with substitutionary ions, and molecular dynamics simulations. The feasibility of this technique is demonstrated on the extraordinarily stable DNA mini-hairpin d(GCGAAGC).  相似文献

In a series of papers, Green’s relations on the additive and multiplicative reducts of a semiring proved to be a very useful tool in the study of semirings. However, in the vast majority of cases, Green’s relations are not congruences, and we show that in such cases it is much more convenient to use the congruence openings of Green’s relations, instead of the Green’s relations themselves. By means of these congruence openings we define and study several very interesting operators on the lattices of varieties of semirings and additively idempotent semirings, and, in particular, we establish order embeddings of the lattice of varieties of additively idempotent semirings into the direct products of the lattices of open (resp. closed) varieties with respect to two opening (resp. closure) operators on this lattice that we introduced.  相似文献

Novel all-aliphatic polycarbonate-based polyurethane (PC-PU) elastomers, as well as PC-PU nanocomposites filled with organic-modified clays were synthesized, characterized and studied. It was found that they have very attractive mechanical properties (e.g., elongation at break between 600% and 800%). The prepared PC-PUs possess a distinctly segmented structure, which is the key prerequisite for their behavior as strong physical rubbery networks. All synthesized materials melt at elevated temperatures (between 110 and 200 °C) and hence can be processed like normal thermoplastics. The dispersion of the clay nanofiller was achieved by its one day swelling in the alcohol and a brief successive stirring. This procedure is very successful and leads to a partial exfoliation of the clay (documented by X-ray diffraction and TEM). The best nanocomposites with very good tensile properties, particularly with significantly increased moduli were obtained using the bentonite nanofiller. The study shows that the nanofiller interacts strongly with the hard domains and influences their melting temperature (DMTA and DSC), but it does not affect the glass transition temperature of soft domains. While Cloisite 15A was found to interact preferentially with the hard domains, the organic modified bentonite shows a strong interaction with both soft and hard segments, behaving as a blending agent. Hard domains in neat matrices, formed by hydrogen bonding of hard segments, were practically invisible by X-ray or TEM, but were successfully detected by AFM. Besides excellent mechanical properties, the prepared elastomers and their nanocomposites showed an interesting phase behavior (which was studied by combining DMTA and modulated DSC).  相似文献

Different electrically neutral lipophilic di- and triamides were prepared and their ion selectivity in membranes studied. In membranes the ionophore N, N′-diheptyl-N, N′-dimethyl-succinamide prefers Ca2+ over Mg2+ by a factor of 20 but rejects Na+ and K+ in respect to Mg2+ by a factor of 100 and 10, respectively. This selectivity suffices to perform useful intracellular Mg2+ activity studies.  相似文献
