Dynamic Study of Gemini Surfactant and Single-chain Surfactant at Air／Water Interface

Molecular dynamics (MD) simulation are used to study the properties of gemini surfactant of ethyl-α,ω-bis(dodecyldimethylammonium bromide) (C12C2C12) and dodecyl-trimethylammonium bromide (DTAB) at the air/water interface, respectively. In the two systems,t he surfactant concentrations are both 28 wt.%, and other conditions are also the same. After reaching the thermodynamic equilibrium, the concentration profiles, the radial distributions functions (RDF) and the mean squared displacement (MSD) are investigated. The results reveal that the surface activity of C12C2C12 surfactant is higher than DTAB surfactant.     

Theoretical Study on the Isomerization Mechanism of Enol Ester from 2-Acyl-1, 3-cyclohexanediones

The present paper employed density function theory to investigate two reaction pathways for isomerization of enol ester proposed by Yang(path a) and the present authors(path a), respectively. The base catalytic effects of solvent triethylamine on these two reactions were also evaluated. It is demonstrated that path B is more preferable than path a due to low barrier height for the rate-determining step.

Effect of ligand structure of stationary phase of high performance hydrophobic interaction chromatography on renaturation efficiency of GuHCl-denaturedα-chymotrypsin

The renaturation of the denaturedα-chymotrypsin (α-Chy) with 1.7 mol·L-1 gua-nidine hydrochloride (GuHCI) by three kinds of stationary phase of high performance hydropho-bic interaction chromatography (STHIC) with a comparable hydrophobicity but different ligand structures was investigated. The obtained result indicates that the ligand structures of the three STHIC contribute to the renaturation efficiency ofα-Chy in the order of the end ligands PEG-600< phenyl group < tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol (THFA).

Longistylumphyllines A–C,Three New Alkaloids from Daphniphyllum longistylum

Three new alkaloids, longistylumphyllines A–C (1–3), together with the six known alkaloids deoxycalyciphylline B, deoxyisocalyciphylline B, methyl homosecodaphniphyllate, daphnicyclidin A, daphnicyclidin B, and daphnicyclidin F, were isolated from the stems and leaves of Daphniphyllum longistylum. Their structures and relative configuration were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data, especially 1D and 2D NMR techniques.     

Synthesis of nanosize europium oxide particles by using W/O microemulsion

Europium hydroxide particles with an average diameter of 10 run and a BET surface area of 127 m2 /g have been prepared by controlled precipitation in the polyoxyethylene octylphenol (Triton X-100) (hex-anol)/cyclohexane/water microemulsion system. After calcination in air at 750℃, the obtained europium hydroxide particles were readily converted to the nanosize Eu2O3 particles with an average size of 30 nm and a high BET surface area of 36.5 m2/g.

Using solvatochromic method the determination of the molecular first-order hyperpolarizabilities of three novel stilbazolium-like dyes and twoknown stilbazolium-like dyes: trans-(pyrrol-2yl) -4-(N-methyl-pyridinio) -stilbazolium iodide(PPSI), trans-(furan-2-yl) -4-(N-methyl - pyridinio)-stilbazolium iodide (FPSI), trans-(thiophene-2-yl) -4- (N-methyl-pyridinio)-stilbazolium iodide (TPSI) and trans-(N-methylpyrrol-2-yl) 4-(N-methyl-pyridinio)-stilbazolium iodide (MPPSI), trans(4-N, N-dimethylamino) -(4- N-methylpwidinio) -stilbazolium iodide(DAPSI) in 8 solvents is presented, and their molecular hyperpolarizabilities are as high as 10-26 -10-27 esu. We have proved that the molecular hyperpolarizabilities is in linear correlation with the electron excessivities of donors for PPSI,FPSI and TPSI in each solvent, this relation give us a way to design molecules that have larger hyperpolallzabilities. Direct chiral high performance liquid chromatography separation of O-ethyl O-phenylN - isopropylphosphoroamidothioates

The enantiomers of thirty-nine O-ethyl O-phenyl N-isopropyl phosphoroamidothioates have been separated by high performance liquid chromatography on a Pirkle model chiral stationary phase using ten mobile phase. Chromatographic data are presented for the separation of these organic phosphorus enantiomers on the chiral phase. The influences of molecular structures and compositions of mobile phases have been described.
