空气/水界面水分子的取向和运动

对四种不同的实验构型下空气／水界面自由O-H键在3700cm~(-1)的和频振动光谱的分析表明,水分子在空气／水界面的取向运动只可能是在平衡位置附近有限角度之内的受限转动。界面水分子的自由O-H键取向距界面法线约33°,而取向分布或运动的宽度不超过15°。这一图像显著地不同于Wei等人(Phys. Rev. Lett.86,4799(2001))只通过单一的SFG实验构型所得出结论,即：空气／水界面的水分子在超快的振动弛豫时间内在很大的角度范围内运动。     

Fiberings with Fiber RP（κ）

Let κ be non-negative integer. The unoriented bordism classes, which can be represented as [RP（ξ^κ）] where ξ^κ is a k-plane bundle, form an ideal of the unoriented bordism ring MO.. A group of generators of this ideal expressed by a base of MO. and a necessary and sufficient condition for a bordism class to belong to this ideal are given.     

Ternary univariate curvature-preserving subdivision

We present an interpolating, univariate subdivision scheme which preserves the discrete curvature and tangent direction at each step of subdivision. Since the polygon have a geometric information of some original (in some sense) curve as a discrete curvature, we can expect that the limit curve has the same curvature at each vertex as the control polygon. We estimate the curvature bound of odd vertices and give an error estimate for restoring a curve from sampled vertices on curves.

Approaches to improving critical current density of YBCO superconducting thick films deposited by electrophoresis

The irreversibility field (Hirr) of Y-based superconductor is much higher than that of Bi-based superconductor. Synthesis and characterization of a polyfluorene containing carbazole and oxadiazole dipolar pendent groups and its application to electroluminescent devices

We have synthesized a blue‐light‐emitting polyfluorene (PF) derivative ( PF‐CBZ‐OXD ) that presents bulky hole‐transporting carbazole and electron‐transporting oxadiazole pendent groups functionalized at the C‐9 positions of alternating fluorene units. The results from photoluminescence and electrochemical measurements indicate that both the side chains and the PF main chain retain their own electronic characteristics in the copolymer. An electroluminescent device incorporating this polymer as the emitting layer was turned on at 4.5 V; it exhibited a stable blue emission with a maximum external quantum efficiency of 1.1%. Moreover, we doped PF‐CBZ‐OXD and its analogue PF‐TPA‐OXD with a red‐light‐emitting iridium phosphor for use as components of phosphorescent red‐light emitters to investigate the effect of the host's HOMO energy level on the degree of charge trapping and on the electrophosphorescent efficiency. We found that spectral overlap and individual energy level matching between the host and guest were both crucial features affecting the performance of the electroluminescence devices. Atomic force microscopy measurements indicated that the dipolar nature of PF‐CBZ‐OXD , in contrast to the general nonpolarity of polydialkylfluorenes, provided a stabilizing environment that allowed homogeneous dispersion of the polar iridium triplet dopant. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The effect of micro-morphology of Bi2O3 on catalytic properties of Co/Bi catalyst for wet air oxidation of acetic acid

The novel phase transfer catalysts S-8 [4-(dimethyloctylammonium) propansultan] and DB-X [1,4-bis(triethylmethylammonium)benzene dibromide] were synthesized and employed for high conversion synthesis of dichlorocyclopropane from various olefins.This revised version was published online in December 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

An Additive Problem with Primes in Arithmetic Progressions

In this paper, we extend a classical result of Hua to arithmetic progressions with large moduli. The result implies the Linnik Theorem on the least prime in an arithmetic progression.     

Self-dual Chern–Simons Vortices on Bounded Domains

In this Letter we consider the Abelian Chern–Simons vortices on a bounded simply connected domain. We establish the existence of solutions for the self-duality equations. We prove the uniqueness of solutions when all the vortex points are equal and the domain is star-shaped. We also show the radial symmetry of solutions on balls centered at the vortex point.
