Performance improvement and wavelength reuse in millimeter-wave radio-over-fiber links incorporating all-fiber optical interleaver

Simultaneous downlink performance improvement and uplink wavelength reuse in a full-duplex millimeter-wave (MMW) radio-over-fiber (RoF) system by using a simple and cost-effective all-fiber optical interleaver are proposed and demonstrated. The MMW RoF downlink performance improvement is based on suppressing optical carrier-to-sideband ratio (OCSR), with which the mechanism is confirmed by theoretic analysis and derived experimental results. Measured results show that, by suppressing OCSR using a fabricated all-fiber optical interleaver, the downlink optical receiver sensitivity is improved about 2.1 dB. The downlink data rate is 1.25 Gbit/s and the carrier frequency is 58.1 GHz; the link consists of 6 km optical single-mode fiber and 1 m wireless connection. On the other hand, with the interleaver suppressing downlink OCSR, simultaneously an optical carrier is recovered from the RoF downlink and is reused for RoF uplink transmission. The uplink is operated at 62.9 GHz and the data rate is the same 1.25 Gbit/s. With the recovered optical carrier, a laser-free remote access point is achieved. The principle, structure, and fabrication of an all-fiber optical interleaver are also presented in this paper.     

Rotational analysis of the (3, 6) band in the comet-tail (AΠi -XΣ) system of CO

The direct observation and rotational analysis of the (3, 6) band in the comet-tail (A²Π_i-X²Σ⁺) system of CO⁺ are carried out for the first time employing optical heterodyne and magnetic rotation enhanced velocity modulation spectroscopy. That 193 lines are assigned to this band ranging from 12 100 to 12 370 cm⁻¹ results in most accurate molecular constants by nonlinear least-squares fitting procedure employing the effective Hamiltonians.     

PVK∶DBVP掺杂体系的能量转移及发光性质的研究

研究了不同比例的PVK与齐聚PPV衍生物DBVP掺杂体系的能量转移和发光特性.通过对PVK,DBVP及PVK:DBVP掺杂体系的UV-vis,PL和PLE光谱的研究,分析了PVK与DBVP之间的能量转移过程.利用PVK在体系中类似于溶剂的分散作用,制备了结构为ITO/PEDOT/PVK:DBVP/LiF/Al的电致发光器件,研究了掺杂体系的电致发光性能.结果表明,在掺杂体系的光致发光和电致发光中,PVK的发射被有效地抑制,PVK与DBVP之间发生了非常有效的能量转移,通过调节PVK与DBVP的比例,可以获得蓝色和绿色发光,同时可以改善器件的发光性能,当PVK与DBVP的重量比为1∶2时,器件的绿色发光效率达到1·06cd/A,此时发光亮度为52cd/m2.     

微型热驱动热声热机热端换热器的优化设计

该文基于热声环境,采用厘米级扁管和deltaE数值计算对微型热声换热器进行了优化设计。     

Entanglement diversion and quantum teleportation of entangled coherent states

The proposals on entanglement diversion and quantum teleportation of entangled coherent states are presented.In these proposals, the entanglement between two coherent states, $|\alpha\rangle$ and $|-\alpha\rangle$, with the same amplitude but a phase difference of $\pi$ is utilized as a quantum channel. The processes of the entanglement diversion and the teleportation are achieved by using the 50/50 symmetric beam splitters, the phase shifters and the photodetectors with the help of classical information.     

Design of quantum VQ iteration and quantum VQ encoding algorithm taking O（√N） steps for data compression

Vector quantization (VQ) is an important data compression method. The key of the encoding of VQ is to find the closest vector among N vectors for a feature vector. Many classical linear search algorithms take $O(N)$ steps of distance computing between two vectors. The quantum VQ iteration and corresponding quantum VQ encoding algorithm that takes $O(\sqrt N )$ steps are presented in this paper. The unitary operation of distance computing can be performed on a number of vectors simultaneously because the quantum state exists in a superposition of states. The quantum VQ iteration comprises three oracles, by contrast many quantum algorithms have only one oracle, such as Shor's factorization algorithm and Grover's algorithm. Entanglement state is generated and used, by contrast the state in Grover's algorithm is not an entanglement state. The quantum VQ iteration is a rotation over subspace, by contrast the Grover iteration is a rotation over global space. The quantum VQ iteration extends the Grover iteration to the more complex search that requires more oracles. The method of the quantum VQ iteration is universal.     

识别过渡金属离子的1,8-萘二甲酰亚胺多胺衍生物荧光传感器的研究

设计合成了用以检测过渡金属离子的荧光化学敏感器体系,它们是由1,8-萘二酰亚胺为荧光团,多胺衍生物为金属离子受体组成．在室温下对其光物理性质的研究中发现,在没有加入过渡金属离子时,由于体系内存在有效的光诱导电子转移过程使得荧光团的荧光被淬灭．加入过渡金属离子后,金属离子受体中的氮原子和过渡金属离子之间的配位作用阻断了光诱导电子转移过程,体系的荧光增强．不同的金属离子受体表现出了和过渡金属离子不同的配位识别能力,并且通过荧光的变化传递出受体-金属离子作用的信息．     

Extremely low vertical-emittance beam in the accelerator test facility at KEK

Electron beams with the lowest, normalized transverse emittance recorded so far were produced and confirmed in single-bunch-mode operation of the Accelerator Test Facility at KEK. We established a tuning method of the damping ring which achieves a small vertical dispersion and small x-y orbit coupling. The vertical emittance was less than 1% of the horizontal emittance. At the zero-intensity limit, the vertical normalized emittance was less than 2.8 x 10(-8) rad m at beam energy 1.3 GeV. At high intensity, strong effects of intrabeam scattering were observed, which had been expected in view of the extremely high particle density due to the small transverse emittance.     

Measurements of the cross section for e(+)e(-) --> hadrons at center-of-mass energies from 2 to 5 GeV

We report values of R = sigma(e(+)e(-)-->hadrons)/sigma(e(+)e(-)-->mu(+)mu(-)) for 85 center-of-mass energies between 2 and 5 GeV measured with the upgraded Beijing Spectrometer at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider.     

5D Dirac Equation in Induced-Matter Theory

According to an induced-matter approach, Liu and Wesson obtained the rest mass of a typical particle from the reduction of a 5D Klein–Gordon equation to a 4D one. Introducing an extra-dimension momentum operator identified with the rest mass eigenvalue operator, we consider a way to generalize the 4D Dirac equation to 5D. An analogous normal Dirac equation is gained when the generalization reduces to 4D. We find the rest mass of a particle in curved space varies with spacetime coordinates and check this for the case of exact solitonic and cosmological solution of the 5D vacuum gravitational field equations.
