In mobile edge computing systems, the edge server placement problem is mainly tackled as a multi-objective optimization problem and solved with mixed integer programming, heuristic or meta-heuristic algorithms, etc. These methods, however, have profound defect implications such as poor scalability, local optimal solutions, and parameter tuning difficulties. To overcome these defects, we propose a novel edge server placement algorithm based on deep q-network and reinforcement learning, dubbed DQN-ESPA, which can achieve optimal placements without relying on previous placement experience. In DQN-ESPA, the edge server placement problem is modeled as a Markov decision process, which is formalized with the state space, action space and reward function, and it is subsequently solved using a reinforcement learning algorithm. Experimental results using real datasets from Shanghai Telecom show that DQN-ESPA outperforms state-of-the-art algorithms such as simulated annealing placement algorithm (SAPA), Top-K placement algorithm (TKPA), K-Means placement algorithm (KMPA), and random placement algorithm (RPA). In particular, with a comprehensive consideration of access delay and workload balance, DQN-ESPA achieves up to 13.40% and 15.54% better placement performance for 100 and 300 edge servers respectively. 相似文献

Under ultra-supercritical pressure, the heat transfer characteristics of water in vertical upward 4-head internally ribbed tubes with a diameter of 28.65mm and thickness of 8mm were experimentally studied. The experiments were performed at P=25~34MPa, G=450~1800kg/(m2·s) and q=200~600kW/m2. The results show that the pressure has only a moderate effect on the heat transfer of ultra-supercritical water when the water temperature is below the pseudocritical point. Sharp rise of the wall temperature near the pesudocritical region occurs earlier at a higher pressure. Increasing the mass velocity improves the heat transfer with a much stronger effect below the pesudocritical point than that above the pesudocritical point. For given pressure and mass velocity, the inner wall heat flux also shows a significant effect on the inner wall temperature, with a higher inner wall heat flux leading to a higher inner wall temperature. Increasing of inner wall heat flux leads to an early occurrence of sharp rise of the wall temperature. Correlations of heat transfer coefficients are also presented for vertical upward internally ribbed tubes. 相似文献

Based on the phase change theory, a novel tetrahydroxy compound (THCD) was designed and prepared. Depending on the spatial structure of the tetrahydroxy compound, a form-stable thermoplastic polyurethane solid–solid phase change material (TPUPCM) was synthesized via employing PEG as soft segments, while multi-benzene ring structure made by 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate and tetrahydroxy compound as hard segments. The composition and structure of THCD and TPUPCM, the TPUPCM’s the weight average molecular weight and number average molecular weight, dissolving and melting abilities, phase change behaviors, thermal performances and crystalline morphology were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, multiangle laser light scattering apparatus, differential scanning calorimentry, dynamic mechanical thermal analysis, thermogravimetry analysis system, wide-angle X-ray diffraction, polarizing optical microscopy. The results show that the solid–solid phase change material owns excellent phase change properties and a broad processing temperature range. The heating cycle phase change enthalpy is 137.4 J/g, and the cooling cycle phase change enthalpy is 127.6 J/g. The started decomposition temperature and the maximum decomposition temperature are at 323.5 and 396.2 °C, respectively. Furthermore, the solid–solid phase change material is dissolvable, meltable and can be processed directly, and has great potential applications in thermal energy storage. 相似文献
