Kinetics of polarization reversal in irradiated thin PZT films

The effect of irradiation with electrons and neutrons and of exposure to synchrotron radiation on cyclic switching of polarization in thin films of lead zirconate titanate Pb(Zr,Ti)O₃ (PZT) was studied. It is shown that variations in the shape of switching currents are due to the generation of a spatially nonuniform bound internal field with account for an increase in the rate of bulk screening caused by irradiation. A correlation between structural variations and the evolution of the switching current measured during and after irradiation is established.

利用Monte Carlo方法模拟放射治疗剂量分布,改写现有的放射治疗软件DPM,并进行剂量计算。与图形处理方便的Matlab软件相结合,给出直观的显示结果。该方法是一个很有前景的研究方向,因为它既可以获得很快的仿真速度,又能得到直观的仿真结果图形。运行结果表明剂量计算能在1min之内完成,计算速度和精度满足要求。该方法对于提高放射治疗水平具有重要的指导意义和应用价值。     

Diffraction of the Electromagnetic Wave on a Small Obstacle of Elliptic Form in a Layer

The problem on the diffraction of the electromagnetic plane wave on a small obstacle included in a layer is investigated. The obstacle is assumed to be an elliptic cylinder whose diameter and focal distance are small in comparison with the length of the incident wave. It is proved that the small obstacle radiates as a point source, and its amplitude is proportional to the area of the cross-section and the jumps of the dielectric and magnetic constants on the interfaces. Theory of two-frequency excitation in<Superscript>14</Superscript>N NQR

A simple and effective technique for calculating the transient signals in three-level spin systems irradiated at one and two frequencies is described. All possible signals are presented and discussed. The application of the two-frequency excitation technique for the investigation of the inhomogeneity of the crystalline lattice is suggested.     

Plasmon resonance in a nanosphere

The phenomenon of plasmon resonance in a nanosphere and a nanospheroid is considered. As is known, this phenomenon does not depend explicitly on the size of these nanoparticles. However, it is shown that, actually, the resonance conditions are determined by the diameter of the nanosphere and by the length of the major axis of the nanospheroid.
