We present an experimental study of a continuous-wave Nd: YVO4 laser diode-pumped directly in band at 880 nm. By using a compact positive confocal unstable-stable hybrid resonator, a maximal laser output of 170 W at 1064 nm is realized. The slope efficiency and optical-to-optical efficiency are 56.7% and 51.3%, respectively. The M2 factors in the unstable direction and in the stable direction they are 1.9 and 1.3, respectively. 相似文献

A theory of the far spatial coherent-suppressed single-peak field
distribution of a rectangular wave-guide CO2 laser is presented.
The theoretical analysis shows that a rectangular wave-guide laser
can have an output intensity distribution in far field similar to
that produced from a wave-guide array laser, which is in agreement
with the experimental result. A single-peak mode output is obtained
within 5 metres. The experimental far-field spread angle in the
bigger-Fresnel number direction is 0.63 mrad, compared to the
calculated one, 0.6 mrad, and when the length of the laser resonator
is changed, a double-peak or multi-peak in far-field distribution of

In this paper, we have investigated some parameters of a radio frequency (RF) excited diffusively cooled all-metal slab waveguide CO2 laser based on the modified Rigrod theory by introducing a waveguide coupling efficiency which designates the coupling between the waveguide and the resonator mirrors. The parameters of the laser small signal gain go, saturation intensity Is, and waveguide coupling efficiency ηare studied theoretically and experimentally. In the experiments, three sets of output coupling flat mirrors with the different transitivities were used, and a maximum laser power output of 150 W was obtained from a gas discharge region of 2-mm height, 20-mm width, and 386-mm length coupled with a CASE-I optical waveguide resonator. 相似文献

A new type of rf excited diffusively cooled all-metal slab waveguide CO2 laser is presented, in which the waveguide channel is constructed by two copper side walls and two copper electrodes, and the discharge is confined in the slab waveguide channel in terms of the voltage division structure.
