The reaction of [Mn6O2(Piv)(10)(4-Me-py)(2.5)(PivH)(1.5)] (1) (py: pyridine, Piv: pivilate) with N-methyldiethanolamine (mdeaH2) and Ln(NO3)3 x 6 H2O in MeCN leads to a series of nonanuclear compounds [Mn5Ln4(O)6(mdea)2(mdeaH)2(Piv)6(NO3)4(H2O)2]2 MeCN (Ln=Tb(III) (2), Dy(III) (3), Ho(III) (4), Y(III) (5)). Single-crystal X-ray diffraction shows that compounds 2-5 are isostructural, with the central core composed of two distorted {Mn(IV)Mn(III)Ln2O4} cubanes sharing a Mn(IV) vertex, representing a new heterometallic 3d-4f motif for this class of ligand. The four new compounds display single-molecule magnet (SMM) behaviour, which is modulated by the lanthanide ion used. Moreover, the values found for Delta(eff) and tau(o) for 3 of 38.6 K and 3.0 x 10(-9) s respectively reveal that the complex 3 exhibits the highest energy barrier recorded so far for 3d-4f SMMs. The slow relaxation of the magnetisation for 3 was confirmed by mu-SQUID measurements on an oriented single crystal and the observation of M versus H hysteresis loops below 1.9 K.  相似文献

Two pairs of Ni(2)Dy(2) and Ni(2)Tb(2) complexes, [Ni(2)Ln(2)(L)(4)(NO(3))(2)(DMF)(2)] {Ln = Dy (1), Tb (2)} and [Ni(2)Ln(2)(L)(4)(NO(3))(2)(MeOH)(2)]·3MeOH {Ln = Dy (3), Tb (4)} (H(2)L is the Schiff base resulting from the condensation of o-vanillin and 2-aminophenol) possessing a defect-dicubane core topology were synthesized and characterized. All four complexes are ferromagnetically coupled, and the two Dy-analogues are found to be Single Molecule Magnets (SMMs) with energy barriers in the range 18-28 K. Compound 1 displays step-like hysteresis loops, confirming the SMM behavior. Although 1 and 3 show very similar structural topologies, the dynamic properties of 1 and 3 are different with blocking temperatures (3.2 and 4.2 K at a frequency of 1500 Hz) differing by 1 K. This appears to result from a change in orientation of the nitrate ligands on the Dy(III) ions, induced by changes in ligands on Ni(II).  相似文献

The synthesis, structures, and magnetic properties of a family of isostructural "bell-shaped" heterometallic coordination clusters [Mn(III)(9)Mn(II)(2)La(III)(2)(μ(4)-O)(7)(μ(3)-O)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(piv)(10.8)(O(2)CC(4)H(3)O)(6.2)(NO(3))(2)(OH(2))(1.5)(MeCN)(0.5)]·12CH(3)CN·2H(2)O (1) and [Mn(III)(9)Mn(II)(2)Ln(2)(μ(4)-O)(7)(μ (3)-O)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(piv)(10.6)(O(2)CC(4)H(3)O)(6.4)(NO(3))(2)(OH(2))]·nCH(3)CN·H(2)O (Ln = Pr(III), n = 8 (2); Ln = Nd(III), n = 10 (3); Ln = Eu(III), n = 17 (4); Ln = Gd(III), n = 13 (5); piv = pivalate) are reported. The complexes were obtained from the reaction of [Mn(III)(2)Mn(II)(4)O(2)(piv)(10)(4-Me-py)(2.5)(pivH)(1.5)] and Ln(NO(3))(3)·6H(2)O in the presence of 2-furan-carboxylic acid (C(4)H(3)OCOOH) in CH(3)CN. Compounds 1-5 are isomorphous, crystallizing in the triclinic space group P1 with Z = 2. The Mn(III) and Mn(II) centers together form the shell of the bell, while the two Ln(III) centers can be regarded as the bell's clapper. The magnetic properties of 1-4 reveal dominant antiferromagnetic interactions between the magnetic centers leading to small spin ground states; while those of 5 indicate similar antiferromagnetic interactions between the manganese ions but with unusually strong ferromagnetic interactions between the Gd(III) ions leading to a large overall spin ground state of S = 11-12. While ac and dc magnetic measurements confirmed that Mn(11)Gd(2) (5) is a single-molecule magnet (SMM) showing hysteresis loops at low temperatures, compounds 1-4 do not show any slow relaxation of the magnetization, indicating that the S = 7 spin of the ferromagnetic Gd(2) unit in 5 is a necessary contribution to its SMM behavior.  相似文献

The results of a detailed solid state and solution structural study of the Fe(III) bis-mida complex [Fe(III)(mida)(2)]- (mida = N-methyl-iminodiacetate) are reported. The structure of the sodium salt Na[Fe(mida)2][NaClO4]2.3H2O (1) was determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The complex anion in 1 contains a six-coordinate Fe(III) centre bound to two tridentate mida ligands arranged in the meridional configuration, and the mer Fe(III)N2O4 chromophore shows a high degree of distortion from regular octahedral symmetry. Raman- and UV/VIS/NIR spectroscopic measurements showed that no gross changes take place in the Fe(III) coordination sphere upon redissolution in water. Quantum chemical calculations of all three possible configurations of the [Fe(mida)2]- complex ion in the gas phase support the finding that the mer isomer is more stable than the u-fac (cis) and s-fac (trans) isomers. Redox potential measurements of the Fe(III/II)(mida) couple in dependence of pH led to the following values for the equilibrium contants: log beta(III)(101) = 11.98 +/- 0.05, log beta(III)(102) = 20.49 +/- 0.01, pK(III)(a1 OH) = 7.81; log beta(II)(101) = 6.17 +/- 0.01, log beta(II)(102) = 11.39 +/- 0.01.  相似文献

Dicyanoaurate reacts with the organic acceptor molecule, 1,1'-bis-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-4,4'-bipyridinium, DNP, to form a supramolecular complex with the general formula {[Au(CN)(2)](2)DNP}·4H(2)O. The complex was characterized by X-ray crystallography, and its photophysical properties were investigated in the solid-state. Although the initial (DNP)Cl(2) compound does not show photoluminescence behavior and the dicyanoaurate shows photoluminescence only in the UV range, the resulting supramolecular complex displays two simultaneous, essentially independent, photoluminescence bands in the visible range originating from individual contributions of the DNP unit and the dicyanoaurate dimers. This unusual simultaneous photoluminescence behavior displayed by both the dicyanoaurate donor units and the redox-active 4,4'-bipyridinium acceptor have lifetimes of 0.5 μs and several hundred μs, respectively.  相似文献

We report new STAR measurements of midrapidity yields for the Λ, Λ[over ˉ], K(S)(0), Ξ(-), Ξ[over ˉ](+), Ω(-), Ω[over ˉ](+) particles in Cu+Cu collisions at √S(NN)==200 GeV, and midrapidity yields for the Λ, Λ[over ˉ], K(S)(0) particles in Au+Au at √S(NN)==200 GeV. We show that, at a given number of participating nucleons, the production of strange hadrons is higher in Cu+Cu collisions than in Au+Au collisions at the same center-of-mass energy. We find that aspects of the enhancement factors for all particles can be described by a parametrization based on the fraction of participants that undergo multiple collisions.  相似文献
