The stochastic resonance phenomenon in a single-mode laser system driven by multiplicative and additive Gaussian white noises without external periodic force is studied. We find that there are multiple extrema (maximum) in the curve of the mean output laser intensity versus the logarithm of multiplicative noise level. This phenomenon reveals that the mean output laser intensity can be amplified at several values of the multiplicative noise intensity, whose peaks are likely modulated by a sinusoidal function. 相似文献

The phenomenon of stochastic resonance in a single-mode laser system with an input periodical signal
Using the linear approximation method, we study a single-mode laser system driven by colored pump noise and quantum noise with coupling between the real and imaginary parts when the laser is operated well above threshold. The steady state mean intensity fluctuation C(0) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are calculated. It is found that there is a maximum in SNR when there is a minimum in the fluctuation of laser system if the coupling coefficient between real and imaginary parts of the quantum noise equals zero. 相似文献

The white-gain model and the white-loss model of a single-mode laser are investigated in the presence of cross-correlations between the real and imaginary parts of quantum noise as well as pump noise. It was found that, like the white cubic model (2001 Chin. Phys. Lett. 18 370), the amplitude equations are all decoupled from the phase equations for the two models, and the same novel term appears in the amplitude equations of the two models. So we can put the amplitude equations of all the models

采用色抽运噪声和实虚部间关联的量子噪声驱动的单模激光损失模型,运用线性化近似方法计算了周期性信号加性输入时激光系统的输出光强信噪比,发现用信噪比与量子噪声实虚部间关联系数的关系曲线描述的随机共振现象.在抽运噪声自关联为短时关联情况下,当信号振幅增大和频率增快、抽运噪声色关联时间增大时,系统的随机共振加强;而噪声强度的增加会削弱系统的随机共振.在抽运噪声自关联为长时关联情况下,当信号振幅增大和量子噪声强度减弱时,系统的随机共振加强;而信号频率、抽运噪声强度、抽运噪声色关联时间的变化对系统随机共振的影响很小. 相似文献

The influences of the two forms of modulated noises,i.e.the bias signal-modulated noise and the direct signalmodulated noise,on the normalized intensity fluctuation (NIF) are investigated,and the results of the two forms of modulation are compared in detail,We find that a minimum for the case of the bias signal modulation appears in the curve of the dependence of the NIF upon the quantum and pump noise intensities when the correlation coefficient between the quantum noise and the pump noise is negative.However,the NIF for the case of the direct signal modulation is independent of the correlation coefficient between the two noises.Moreover,at the same parameter region,the NIF for the bias signal modulation is only one-eighth as much as.that for the direct signal modulation. 相似文献
