Low-threshold, high-efficiency, high-repetition-rate optical parametric generator based on periodically poled LiNbO3

We report a high-repetition-rate optical parametric generator (OPG) with a periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) crystal pumped by an acousto-optically Q-switched CW-diode-end-pumped Nd:YVO_4 laser. For the maximum 1064nm pump power of 970mW, the maximum conversion efficiency is 32.9% under the conditions of 250℃, 1064nm pulse repetition rate of 22.6kHz and pulse width of 12ns, and the PPLN OPG threshold in the collinear case is less than 23.7μJ. The output power increases with the increase of the crystal temperature. The 1485－1553nm signal wave and 3383－3754nm idler wave are obtained by changing the temperature and the angle of the PPLN crystal.

Analysis of transient wave scattering from an inclusion with an unilateral smoothly contact interface by BEM

Summary A 2D time-domain Boundary Element Method (BEM) is applied to solve the problem of transient scattering of plane waves by an inclusion with a unilateral smooth contact interface. The incident wave is assumed strong enough so that localized separations take place along the interface. The present problem is indeed a nonlinear boundary value problem since the mixed boundary conditions involve unknown intervals (separation and contact regions). In order to determine the unknown intervals, an iterative technique is developed. As an example, we consider the scattering of plane waves by the cross section of a circular cylinder embedded in an infinite solid. Numerical results for the near field solutions are presented. The distortion of the response waves and the variation of the interface states are discussed. Preparation of well-aligned carbon nanotubes by pyrolysis of phenolic resin in anodic alumina pores

Well-aligned carbon nanotubes (CNTs) of high quality were synthesized by pyrolysis of phenolic resin at 800 °C in anodic alumina oxide (AAO) pores under argon protection. The innocuous source materials and safe operational conditions permit this method to synthesize well-aligned CNTs in large-scale and low cost. The formation mechanism of the synthesized CNTs is also proposed in this work by a series of visual sketches and is proved with obvious evidence. Firstly, phenolic resin nanotubes form in the template pores through the evaporation of solvent. Heat treatment then transfers these tubes into CNTs.     

浅谈变频器供电条件下电动机的温升与对策

随着变频调速技术的蓬勃发展，变频器供电电机的温升问题已引起人们的广泛关注。本文首先讨论了电动机的温升限度；然后结合感应电机温升实验的相关数据分析了变频器供电对电动机温升的影响及其原因；最后从降低发热量和提高散热能力两方面提出缓解电机温升的措施，并指出了实际应用中应注意的问题。     

利用七号信令网实现通信网时间同步

随着通信网技术的发展，网络中的大量设备不但需要高质量的频率同步，而且还需要考虑时间同步。可是在现有的技术文件中，并没有对网络设备的时间同步提出任何要求，这对组网和互联互通是极为不利的。例如许多电话交换设备虽然可达到以秒为单位的计费时长，但因为没有时间同步，无法得到准确的计费开始时刻和结束时刻，这对于计费的准确性和互联互通计费的结算都会造成相当大的误差。又如分组网络承载的语音等实时业务，对滑动率的要求不低于目前基于电路交换提供的实时业务，必须有某种机制来保证分组内实时业务信号的媒体内同步，以满足其QoS要求。实现媒体内同步的重要前提就是实时业务的产生和接收处理设备必须实现时间同步。     

En/Decoder for Spectral Phase-Coded OCDMA System Based on Amplitude Sampled FBG

A novel en/decoder for spectral phase-coded optical code-division multiple-access system based on amplitude sampled fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is proposed. Both equivalent chirp and equivalent phase shift are achieved by amplitude sampling. Compared with previous en/decoder based on step chirped FBG, it is easier to fabricate. The performance of the proposed en/decoder is verified by both numerical simulation and experimental demonstration.
