Content distribution in general, and multicasting in particular, over a wired network to static hosts can be realized by placing proxies and gateways at several parts of the network. However, if the end hosts are mobile over heterogeneous wireless access networks, one needs to consider many operational issues such as network detection, handoff, join and leave latency, and desired level of quality of service, as well as caching and load balancing. This article surveys a set of protocols and technologies that offer multicast-based services for streaming multimedia in a mobile environment. It also brings forth some of the issues related to mobile content distribution in the wireless Internet that may be helpful during its deployment by application service providers.  相似文献

Two samples of ABCD 4‐miktoarm star quarterpolymer with A = polystyrene (PS), B = poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL), C = poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) or poly(tert‐butyl acrylate) (PtBA), and D = poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) were prepared using click reaction strategy (Cu(I)‐catalyzed Huisgen [3 + 2] reaction). Thus, first, predefined block copolymers of different polymerization routes, PS‐b‐PCL with azide and PMMA‐b‐PEG and PtBA‐b‐PEG copolymers with alkyne functionality, were synthesized and then these blocks were combined together in the presence of Cu(I)/N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine as a catalyst in DMF at room temperature to give the target 4‐miktoarm star quarterpolymers. The oxidation of pentan-2-ol was investigated at high-pressure in a jet-stirred reactor and in a shock tube. Experiments in the JSR were carried out at 10 atm, between 500 and 1180 K, for five different equivalence ratios of φ = 0.35, 0.5, 1, 2, 4 and 1000 ppm of fuel, at a constant residence time of 0.7 s. Reactant, product and intermediate species mole fractions were quantified using Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR) and gas chromatography (GC). Ignition delay times were measured for pentan-2-ol/O2 mixtures in argon in a shock tube at 20 and 40 bar, in a temperature range of 1070–1460 K and for equivalence ratios of φ = 0.5, 1 and 2. Ignition delay times of a stoichiometric mixture were also measured in air at 20 bar. Under these conditions, this alcohol exhibited no low-temperature reactivity in either experimental set-ups. Based on ab initio calculations presented in the companion paper, a detailed kinetic mechanism was developed in order to reproduce the present data and analyze the reaction pathways.  相似文献

In this study, a novel hydrogel composite, poly[2-(dimethylamino) ethyl methacrylate]/pumice (PDMAEMA/Pmc) was designed and its sorption behavior for humic acid (HA) was produced by using batch adsorption techniques. FTIR results showed that pumice was well incorporated with the PDMAEMA matrix. A scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used in order to determine the morphology of composite hydrogel. In the batch experiments, the adsorption capacity was evaluated depending on different variables such as ionic strength; initial HA concentration; pH and adsorbent dosage. The adsorption capacity was found to be 86.27 mg/g under the optimized conditions. The results revealed that HA adsorption onto PDMAEMA/Pmc was well expressed by the Freundlich isotherm model and the adsorption process was followed by the pseudo second order kinetic model. The reusability tests also indicated that novel PDMAEMA/Pmc adsorbent was an efficient and cost-effective adsorbent for removal of HA.  相似文献

Western part of Turkey is rich area in terms of geothermal sources. The one of these geothermal areas is Bay?nd?r-Dereköy/Ergenli located in Küçük Menderes Graben. In this study, indoor radon concentrations were determined in some places (spas and some dwellings) located on Bay?nd?r-Dereköy/Ergenli. Measurements were realized using LR-115 type 2 solid state nuclear track detectors in the course of 10 months. The indoor radon concentrations were found between 39.3 and 235.4 Bq m?3 for spas, 39.3 and 405 Bq m?3 for houses. Indoor radon concentrations were compared with reference levels determined by international agencies. Radon concentrations in this area were quite low than reference levels revised by international health agencies.  相似文献

Novel aromatic mono‐ and diphosphonate monomers based on t‐butyl α‐bromomethacrylate were prepared for use in dental composites. The synthesis of the two monomers involved three steps: the reaction of diethyl phosphite with phenol or hydroquinone, the rearrangement of the resulting phosphate derivatives into o‐hydroxyaryl phosphonates with lithium diisopropylamide, and the reaction of o‐hydroxyaryl phosphonates with t‐butyl α‐bromomethacrylate. Then, the selective hydrolysis of the t‐butyl ester groups of the monomers with trifluoroacetic acid gave the other carboxylic acid containing monomers. The photopolymerization behaviors of the synthesized monomers with glycerol dimethacrylate and triethylene glycol dimethacrylate were investigated with photodifferential scanning calorimetry at 40 °C with 2,2′‐dimethoxy‐2‐phenyl acetophenone as the photoinitiator. The hydrolysis of the t‐butyl groups of the monomers increased the reactivity and the rates of polymerization of the monomers. The mixtures of the acid monomers showed rates of polymerizations similar to those of homopolymerizations of triethylene glycol dimethacrylate and glycerol dimethacrylate. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Low frequency noise measurements were performed on n- and p-channel MOSFETs with TaSiN and TiN metal gates, respectively, deposited on ALD HfO2 gate dielectric. Lower normalized current noise power spectral density is reported for these devices in comparison to poly-Si/HfO2 devices and that yielded one order lower magnitude for extracted average effective dielectric trap density. In addition, the noise levels in PMOS devices were found to be higher than NMOSFETs and the dielectric trap distribution less dense in the upper mid-gap than the lower mid-gap region. The screened carrier scattering coefficient extracted from the noise measurements was approximately the same for metal and poly-Si high-k stacks but higher than that for the poly-Si SiO2 system, implying higher Coulomb scattering effects. It is believed that the elimination of dopant penetration seen in poly-Si system and low thermal budgets for metal gate deposition helped lower the noise magnitude and yielded better mobility and effective trap density values.  相似文献

For undiscounted two-person zero-sum communicating stochastic games with finite state and action spaces, a solution procedure is proposed that exploits the communication property, i.e., working with irreducible games over restricted strategy spaces. The radiation from circular cylindrical reflector antennas is treated in an accurate manner for both polarizations. The problem is first formulated in terms of the dual series equations and then is regularized by the Riemann-Hilbert problem technique. The resulting matrix equation is solved numerically with a guaranteed accuracy, and remarkably little CPU time is needed. The feed directivity is included in the analysis by the complex source point method. Various characteristic patterns are obtained for the front and offset-fed reflector antenna geometries with this analysis, and some comparisons are made with the high frequency techniques.
