Fluorescence microscopy has been utilized to investigate the effects of UV irradiation on the organization of keratin intermediate filaments in normal human epidermal keratinocytes. Sun lamp irradiation induced the condensation of keratin intermediate filaments into the perinuclear region and inhibited the reorganization of keratin filaments normally induced by Ca2+. Exposure to UVC appeared to disrupt keratin filaments similarly, whereas UVA had no discernible effect.  相似文献

Surface relief formed by nanoimprinting and etching into a thermally grown SiO2 layer on Si was used to position the initial nuclei formed by chemically vapor deposited Si and Ge. By controlling the deposition conditions, the surface diffusion length was adjusted to be comparable to or larger than the spacing between features, thus favoring nucleation adjacent to steps, rather than random nucleation. Random nucleation was further suppressed by a two-stage deposition process. Ge nucleation on oxide by chemical vapor deposition was enhanced by coating the oxide surface with an organic self-assembled monolayer (SAM) and by the nanoimprinted surface relief. The nanoimprinted surface relief also provides long-range order in the SAM.  相似文献

A new analytical method for phenylpropanolamine based on micellar electrokinetic chromatographic separation and laser‐induced fluorescence detection has been developed. Naphthalene‐2,3‐dicarboxaldehyde was used for precolumn derivatization of the nonfluorescent drug. Optimal separation and detection were obtained with an electrophoretic buffer of 50 mM sodium borate (pH 9.5) containing 15 mM sodium dodecyl sulfate and a He‐Cd laser ex: 442 nm, Δem: 500 nm). Linearity (r ≥ 0.99) of two orders of magnitude was generally obtained and the concentration limit of detection was in the ng/mL level. Coupled with a simple cleanup procedure, the method can be applied to the analysis of phenylpropanolamine in human plasma, with a limit of detection at 15 ng/mL. Recovery of phenylpropanolamine from plasma samples was about 90%.  相似文献

The properties of GaAs oxide layers prepared by liquid-phase chemical-enhanced oxidation of the (NH4)2Sx-passivated GaAs surface are investigated. The initial oxidation rate is suppressed and the refractive indices of oxide layers are lower after S passivation. In accordance with the depth profiles measured by secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS), a model is proposed to illustrate the chemical composition of the oxide layer grown by liquid-phase chemical-enhanced oxidation after S passivation. Oxidation following different surface treatments was studied by analyzing their activation energies. In addition, we find that the leakage current and the breakdown electric field of oxide layers can be improved significantly with the passivation technique.  相似文献

Experiments were made for the flow over two side-by-side normal plates for which the gap ratios are in the range 1.4–2.1 and the Teynolds numbers are at 6.6 × 103 and 1.8 × 104. At low gap ratios, i.e., 1.4–1.6. the gap flow appears always to be biased and flip-flops to the preferred side non-periodically with respect to time. As the gap ratio becomes larger, the percentage of time occupied by the gap flow in the biased state decreases and the non-biased state of the gap flow becomes prevalent. A comparison of the experimental results obtained under five free stream turbulence conditions further shows that the addition of artificial disturbance into the free stream promotes gap flow flopping at low gap ratios.  相似文献

ZnO is a defect‐governed oxide and emits light at both visible and UV regimes. This work employs atomic layer deposition to produce oxide particles on oxygenated carbon nanotubes, and the composites only show emission profiles at short wavelengths. The quenching of defect‐related emissions at long wavelengths is verified, owing to carboxyl diffusion into oxygen vacancies, and doping is supported by ZnCO3 formation in oxide lattice. Fully coated tubes display an increased photocurrent and the quantum efficiency increases by 22 % relative to the bare nanotubes.  相似文献

A reproducible formation of strongly bent crystals was accomplished by structurally restraining macrocyclic π-conjugated molecules. The model π-units consist of two 9,10-bis(2-thienylethynyl)anthracenes with a strong propensity for stacking, which are connected in a macrocyclic fashion via two alkylene linkers. The correlation between the crystalline morphology and the macrocyclic structures restrained by a variety of flexible alkylene linker combinations was systematically studied. Bent crystals were obtained only with specific alkylene linkers of appropriate chain length. The alkylene linkers can adopt different conformations in the crystal packing, so as to fill voids within the macrocycle. The ability to form several similar molecular structures with different alkylene conformations gives rise to contaminations of different crystalline phases within a single crystal, and it is these phase contaminations which are responsible for the bending of the crystals.  相似文献

Trace quantities of hydrogen‐bonding impurities in otherwise highly purified and dried glassy hydrocarbon matrices at 77 K can modify the relative triplet state energy levels, and hence the photophysical properties of two aromatic ketones, xanthone and chromone, to the extent that the intrinsic spectroscopic properties are obscured. The intrinsic spectroscopic properties of each are revealed in multicrystalline n‐alkane Shpol'skii matrices, and also can be observed in rigorously purified and dried hydrocarbon glasses at 77 K. The extreme sensitivity to stoichiometric, and even substoichiometric quantities of hydrogen‐bonding impurities arises from the near‐degeneracy of the two lowest‐lying triplet states, and the sensitive nature of the n→π* blueshift phenomena to specific hydrogen‐bonding interactions.  相似文献
