The hydrostatic pressure and thermal loading simultaneously induced optical effects in double-coated optical fibers in the long-term are analyzed by the viscoelastic theory. Using the Laplace transformation method, close-form solutions for the microbending loss and refractive index changes are obtained. The results of the microbending loss are initially identical to those obtained by the elastic analysis, and then decrease gradually as time progresses. The microbending loss and refractive index changes of the glass fiber are functions of the material properties of the primary and secondary coatings. To minimize the microbending loss and refractive index changes in the long-term, the Young's modulus of the primary coating, and the viscosity and Poisson's ratio of the secondary coating should be increased. Nevertheless, the viscosity and Poisson's ratio of the primary coating, and the Young's modulus of the secondary coating should be decreased. 相似文献
We propose a common-subexpression-elimination (CSE) method for the synthesis of fixed-point finite-impulse response (FIR) filters. The proposed CSE algorithm considers both the redundancy among the canonic-signed-digit (CSD) filter coefficients and the length of the critical path in the multiplier block of a transposed-form FIR filter. Therefore, the proposed CSE method can perform tradeoff designs between complexity and the throughput rate. The number of adders synthesized by our method is commensurate with that by the graph-dependence algorithms. On the other hand, our method can synthesize a high-order complicated FIR filter in a few seconds. 相似文献
A single-chip monolithic integrated V-band folded-slot antenna with two Schottky-barrier diodes and a local oscillator source is developed as a quasi-optical receiver for the first time. The monolithic microwave integrated circuit consists of a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), a coplanar waveguide (CPW)-to-slotline transition, a low-pass filter, a folded-slot antenna, and a 180/spl deg/ single balanced mixer. The chip is fabricated based on the 0.15-/spl mu/m GaAs high electron-mobility transistor technology and the overall chip size is 3/spl times/1.5 mm/sup 2/. A finite-difference time-domain method solver is also developed for analyzing the embedded impedance characteristics of the folded-slot antenna to design the mixer. The chip is placed on an extended hemispherical silicon substrate lens to be a quasi-optical receiver. The performance of the receiver is verified by experimental measurements. The VCO has achieved a tuning range from 61.9 to 62.5 GHz and approximately 9.3-dBm output power. The CPW-to-slotline transition has bandwidth from 50 to 70 GHz. The mixer results in 15-dB single-sideband conversion loss and the receiving patterns of the IF power are also measured. 相似文献
The development of a low-power 12-channel multiplexer-demultiplexer pair that is clocked at the standard synchronous optical network (SONET) rate of 622.08 MHz is discussed. Each device has been integrated in silicon using a 0.75- mu m NMOS VLSI technology that provides high fabrication yield at relatively low cost. Highlighted are the analog interface circuits of the two chips. These include a phase splitter and amplifier for the maser clock input, a precision 50- Omega output driver for high-speed synchronous-transport-signal-12 (STS-12) data, as well as input amplifier and an output stage for low-speed differential STS-1 data.<> 相似文献
Cycloaddition of masked o-benzoquinone, 6,9-dipropyl-1, 4-dioxaspiro[4.5]deca-6, 8-dien-2,10-dione, with cycloheptatriene afforded mainly [4π+2π] adducts which was transformed into 1, 4-dipropyl-5H-benzocycloheptene by hydrolysis, photolysis and dehydrogenation consecutively. The basic problem considered in this paper is to solve the following Neumann boundary value problem probabilistically: where we assume that q is in a certain functional class to be specified below, and φ is a bounded measurable function on the boundary. We give a martingale formulation of the Neumann problem and show that this formulation is essentially equivalent to the classical formulation. The paper culminates in an explicit formula for the solution of this problem in terms of reflecting Brownian motion and its boundary local time. 相似文献
Alpha-glucosidase inhibitors (aGIs) have potential use as antidiabetic drugs for the treatment of type II diabetes. Most aGIs place a burden on the liver and cause gastrointestinal distress, therefore the development of new aGIs has become very important. In this study, we investigated the production of aGIs by the co-culture of Bacillus mycoides TKU040 and Rhizobium sp. TKU041 using shrimp head powder (SHP) as the sole source of carbon and nitrogen. After fermentation in 50 mL of 1% SHP-containing medium (0.1% K2HPO4 and 0.05% MgSO4·7H2O, pH 9.2) at 37 °C for 4 days, the maximum productivity of aGIs (143 U/mL) was reached. The IC50 of the aGIs produced in the culture supernatant was 3 mg/mL. The aGI activity was only 60% after treatment at pH 3 for 30 min; this increased to 140% after treatment at pH 11 for 30 min. The aGI activity remained at 60% after treatment at 60 °C for 30 min. 相似文献
