The acoustic-energy loss was measured when the sound wave propagated through a layer of water fog. By the application of the sound attenuation theory in granular media and by means of the acoustic inverse (optimization) method, the size-distribution of the drops and the moisture content in the water fog were measured. It is demonstrated that the sizes of the water drops obey the normal distribution approximately. Comparison of the size-distribution results between data obtained by the inverse measurements and those obtained by the optic-microscopic-size methods shows good agreement with each other. The results of the moisture content and the thickness of the fog layers obtained by this method are also consistent with the results measured by other methods (for example, the water-content weight and the direct measurement of layer's thickness by a scale, etc.) reasonably. 相似文献

Within the framework of the second-order Rayleigh-Schr?dinger perturbation theory, we investigate the effects of the interaction
of the electron and longitudinal-optical phonons in two-dimensional semiconductive quantum dots with respect to a general
potential. We propose a simple expression for the ground state energy, and compare it with those obtained by Landau-Pekar
strong coupling theory. It is shown both analytically and numerically that the results obtained from the second-order Rayleigh-Schr?dinger
perturbation theory could be better than those from Landau-Pekar strong coupling theory when the coupling constant is sufficiently
small. Moreover, some interesting problems, such as polarons in quasi-one-dimensional quantum wires, and quasi-zero-dimensional
asymmetric or symmetric quantum dots can be easily discussed only by taking different limits. After the numerical calculations,
we find that there exists a simple dimensional scaling and symmetry relation for the ground state polaron energy. Furthermore,
we apply our results to some weak-coupling polar semiconductors such as GaAs, CdS. It is shown that the polaronic effects
are found to be quiet appreciable if the confinement lengths and smaller than a few nanometers.

Organic electroluminescent diodes with a heterostructure of 9,10-bis(phenylethnyl) anthracene(BPEA) doped poly(N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK)/tris(8-hydroxyquinoline)aluminum (Alq_3) have beenfabricated. The electroluminescence (EL) both from BPEA and Alq_3 were observed when the Alq_3 layer isthin enough. With increasing thickness of the Alq_3 layer, the relative emission intensity of BPEA is graduallydecreased. For the thin Alq_3 layer structure, the light emission of Alq_3 becomes more dominant as the appliedvoltage increases. It is proposed that the electron-hole recombination takes place in both PVK and Alq_3 films.The field-induced quenching theory has also been applied to explain the change of the EL spectra withapplied voltage. 相似文献
