The multivariate extension of the Cox model proposed by Wei,Lin and Weissfeld in 1989 has been widely used for analyzing multivariate survival data.Under the model assumption,failure times from an individual are assumed to marginally follow their respective proportional hazards regression relation,leaving the joint distribution completely unspecified.This paper presents a simple approach to efficiency improvement through segmentation of stochastic integrals in the marginal estimating equations and incorporation of the limiting covariance structure.It is shown that when partition of the time interval is done at a suitable rate,the resulting estimator is consistent and asymptotically normal.Through the reproducing kernel Hilbert space arising from the covariance function of the limiting Gaussian process,it is also shown that the proposed estimator is asymptotically optimal within a reasonable class of estimators under marginal specification.Simulations are conducted to assess the finite-sample performance of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this work we present a new approach to tackle the problem of Post Enrolment Course Timetabling as specified for the International Timetabling Competition 2007 (ITC2007), competition track 2. The heuristic procedure is based on Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) where artificial ants successively construct solutions based on pheromones (stigmergy) and local information. The key feature of our algorithm is the use of two distinct but simplified pheromone matrices in order to improve convergence but still provide enough flexibility for effectively guiding the solution construction process. We show that by parallelizing the algorithm we can improve the solution quality significantly. We applied our algorithm to the instances used for the ITC2007. The results document that our approach is among the leading algorithms for this problem; in all cases the optimal solution could be found. Furthermore we discuss the characteristics of the instances where the algorithm performs especially well.  相似文献

We prove that the MacWilliams duality holds for bent functions. It enables us to derive the concept of formally self-dual Boolean functions with respect to their near weight enumerators. By using this concept, we prove the Gleason-type theorem on self-dual bent functions. As an application, we provide the total number of (self-dual) bent functions in two and four variables obtaining from formally self-dual Boolean functions.  相似文献

We investigate some geometric aspects of lightlike hypersurfaces of indefinite Kenmotsu manifolds, tangent to the structure vector field, by paying attention to the geometry of leaves of integrable distributions. Theorems on parallel vector fields, Killing distribution, geodesibility of their leaves are obtained. The geometric configuration of such lightlike hypersurfaces and leaves of its screen integrable distributions are established. We show that no totally contact umbilical leaf of a screen integrable distribution of a lightlike hypersurface can be an extrinsic sphere. We also prove that the geometry of any leaf of an integrable distribution is closely related to the geometry of a normal bundle.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the semilocal convergence for a fifth-order method for solving nonlinear equations in Banach spaces. The semilocal convergence of this method is established by using recurrence relations. We prove an existence-uniqueness theorem and give a priori error bounds which demonstrates the R-order of the method. As compared with the Jarratt method in Hernández and Salanova (Southwest J Pure Appl Math 1:29–40, 1999) and the Multi-super-Halley method in Wang et al. (Numer Algorithms 56:497–516, 2011), the differentiability conditions of the convergence of the method in this paper are mild and the R-order is improved. Finally, we give some numerical applications to demonstrate our approach.  相似文献

This paper introduces an algorithm for the nonnegative matrix factorization-and-completion problem, which aims to find nonnegative low-rank matrices X and Y so that the product XY approximates a nonnegative data matrix M whose elements are partially known (to a certain accuracy). This problem aggregates two existing problems: (i) nonnegative matrix factorization where all entries of M are given, and (ii) low-rank matrix completion where nonnegativity is not required. By taking the advantages of both nonnegativity and low-rankness, one can generally obtain superior results than those of just using one of the two properties. We propose to solve the non-convex constrained least-squares problem using an algorithm based on the classical alternating direction augmented Lagrangian method. Preliminary convergence properties of the algorithm and numerical simulation results are presented. Compared to a recent algorithm for nonnegative matrix factorization, the proposed algorithm produces factorizations of similar quality using only about half of the matrix entries. On tasks of recovering incomplete grayscale and hyperspectral images, the proposed algorithm yields overall better qualities than those produced by two recent matrix-completion algorithms that do not exploit nonnegativity.  相似文献

A multicone graph is defined to be the join of a clique and a regular graph. Based on Zhou and Cho’s result [B. Zhou, H.H. Cho, Remarks on spectral radius and Laplacian eigenvalues of a graph, Czech. Math. J. 55 (130) (2005), 781–790], the spectral characterization of multicone graphs is investigated. Particularly, we determine a necessary and sufficient condition for two multicone graphs to be cospectral graphs and investigate the structures of graphs cospectral to a multicone graph. Additionally, lower and upper bounds for the largest eigenvalue of a multicone graph are given.  相似文献

We obtain an intertwining relation between some Riemann–Liouville operators of order α ∈ (1, 2), connecting through a certain multiplicative identity in law the one-dimensional marginals of reflected completely asymmetric α-stable Lévy processes. The existence solution for a class of economic equilibrium type problems in reflexive Banach space is considered. New results concerning the variational inequality approach to Arrow–Debreu model of economic equilibrium introduced in Naniewicz (Math Oper Res 32:436–466, 2007) are found and applied to ensure the existence of Pareto optimal solutions for a class of multiobjective optimization problems with so-called budget-like constraints. To achieve this goal, the theory of pseudo-monotone multivalued mappings combined with some fixed point technique for multivalued mappings with nonconvex values is used.  相似文献
