The recent developments in collaborative search, acquisition, and tracking have hoisted the geographical barrier. The network between unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is one such collaboration, which comprises battery‐powered static sensor nodes that act as sources and sinks and UAVs that act as relays. This collaborative network presents with opportunities and advantages, but at the same time, configuration of such networks is an arduous task. The WSN nodes are characterized by constant depleting power. Their network itself requires constant management and reconfiguration. These requisites can be slaked through the formation of an efficient data dissemination algorithm, which acclimates according to the network state. Considering this, a data dissemination approach is presented in this paper, which constructs a virtual topology predicated on the charge of WSN nodes utilizing software‐defined networks (SDNs) through UAVs. The topology is constantly monitored and reconfigured when required. The aerial nodes are equipped with multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) antennas in order to facilitate simultaneous communication with the ground nodes, the base station, and the SDN controller. An efficient sleep timer and backoff counter strategies are also utilized by the proposed approach. The SDN controller facilitates the topology formation and maintenance of a sleep timer and a backoff counter. The proposed model is compared with clustered hierarchical layouts and hexagonal cell layouts through the network simulations. The results suggest significant improvements in the proposed model for various metrics, such as lifetime, delay, latency, delivery ratio, and throughput in comparison with the existing solutions. 相似文献

Wrinkles are commonly observed in stretched thin sheets and membranes. This paper presents a numerical study on stretch-induced wrinkling of hyperelastic thin sheets based on nonlinear finite element analyses. The model problem is set up for uniaxial stretching of a rectangular sheet with two clamped ends and two free edges. A two-dimensional stress analysis is performed first under the plane-stress condition to determine stretch-induced stress distribution patterns in the elastic sheets, assuming no wrinkles. As a prerequisite for wrinkling, development of compressive stresses in the transverse direction is found to depend on both the length-to-width aspect ratio of the sheet and the applied tensile strain in the longitudinal direction. A phase diagram is constructed with four different distribution patterns of the stretch-induced compressive stresses, spanning a wide range of aspect ratio and tensile strain. Next, an eigenvalue analysis is performed to find the potential buckling modes of the elastic sheet under the prescribed boundary conditions. Finally, a nonlinear post-buckling analysis is performed to show evolution of stretch-induced wrinkles. In addition to the aspect ratio and tensile strain, it is found that the critical condition for wrinkling and the post-buckling behavior both depend sensitively on the sheet thickness. In general, wrinkles form only when both the magnitude and the distribution area of the compressive stresses are sufficiently large. The wrinkle wavelength decreases with increasing strain, in good agreement with the prediction by a scaling analysis. However, as the tensile strain increases, the wrinkle amplitude first increases and then decreases, eventually flattened beyond a moderately large critical strain, in contrast to the scaling analysis. 相似文献

Finite clusters of atoms or molecules, typically composed of about 50 particles (and often as few as 13 or even less) have
proved to be useful prototypes of systems undergoing phase transitions. Analogues of the solid-liquid melting transition,
surface melting, structural phase transitions and the glass transition have been observed in cluster systems. The methods
of nonlinear dynamics can be applied to systems of this size, and these have helped elucidate the nature of the microscopic
dynamics, which, as a function of internal energy (or ‘temperature’) can be in a solidlike, liquidlike, or even gaseous state.
The Lyapunov exponents show a characteristic behaviour as a function of energy, and provide a reliable signature of the solid-liquid
melting phase transition. The behaviour of such indices at other phase transitions has only partially been explored. These

In this paper, the design-oriented two-stage and data-analysis one-stage multiple comparison procedures for successive comparisons of exponential location parameters under heteroscedasticity are proposed. One-sided and two-sided simultaneous confidence intervals are also given. We also extend these simultaneous confidence intervals for successive differences to a larger class of contrasts of the location parameters. A rigorous electromagnetic analysis of a circular waveguide loaded with axially periodic annular discs was developed in the fast-wave regime, considering finite axial disc thickness and taking into account the effect of higher order space harmonics in the disc-free region and higher order modal harmonics in the disc-occupied region of the structure. The quality of the disc-loaded circular waveguide was evaluated with respect to its azimuthal interaction impedance that has relevance to the gain of a gyrotron millimeter-wave amplifier (gyro-traveling-wave tube) in which such a loaded waveguide finds application as a wideband interaction structure. The results of electromagnetic analysis of the structure with respect to both the dispersion and azimuthal interaction impedance characteristics were validated against the commercially available code: high frequency structure simulator (HFSS). The analysis predicts that the value of the interaction impedance at a given frequency decreases with the increase of the disc hole radius and disc periodicity. The change of the axial disc thickness does not significantly change the value of the interaction impedance though it shifts the frequency range over which appreciable interaction impedance is obtained. Out of the three disc parameters, namely the disc hole radius, thickness and periodicity, the lattermost is most effective in controlling the value of the azimuthal interaction impedance. However, the passband of frequencies and the center frequency of the passband both decrease with the increase of the disc periodicity. Moreover, the disc periodicity that provides large azimuthal interaction impedance would in general be different from that giving the desired dispersion shape for wideband interaction in a gyro-TWT, suggesting a trade-off in the value of the disc periodicity to be chosen. 相似文献

We discuss the structure of water at hydrophobic interfaces from the standpoint of its impact on electrokinetic phenomena in microfluidic devices fabricated from hydrophobic polymers such as Teflon or Zeonor. Water structuring at hydrophobic interfaces has been described as a source of interfacial charge (see Part 1, this issue), and dewetting phenomena, whether via depletion layers or nanobubbles, contribute to slip and enhanced apparent electrokinetic potentials. Issues concerning the impact of hydrodynamic slip and the role of diffuse interfacial structures are discussed. These issues are coupled with each other and with interfacial charge concerns, providing challenges for measurements of individual parameters. 相似文献

Today applications and services are migrating to a cloud-computing-based paradigm in which the users access the applications and services hosted in data centers, by using thin-clients on the user terminal device. These applications/services are typically hosted and run on virtual machines in interconnected data centers. Different applications from the same user may need to access and change shared data or information. Thus, we may abstract the applications from same user as a virtual network (VN). For better performance and efficiency, it is critical that the VN request be accommodated with optimal provisioning under the current resource state of data centers. In this paper, for addressing the issue of how to design an optimal provisioning scheme for the VN request such that the total revenue of is maximized, we first develop a framework for the optimal provisioning of VN request by using mixed integer programming. Since the optimal provisioning problem is NP-hard, we also propose a genetic algorithm?Cbased heuristic algorithm for addressing the problem of optimal provisioning for VN with unsplittable flow and optimal provisioning for VN with splittable flow problems. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in improving the total revenue by conducting extensive simulations on different networks. 相似文献
