A multicell amplifier is developed by connecting floating signal modules in series to drive piezoelectric devices. The amplifier generates a high voltage gain by summing the individual module gains. The bandwidth equals that of a single module. The multicell amplifier provides a means of achieving high power and can divide the total power dissipation among the modules, because each module delivers the same output voltage and current. A prototype circuit that consists of six floating signal modules exhibits precise linear operation over a wide range of input frequencies and capacitive loads. The circuit provides a plusmn 200-V output swing with a corner frequency of around 100 kHz at a driving capacitive load of 0.1 muF. The slew rate is as high as 115 V/mus, and the maximum output current is plusmn2.6 A. The practicality and performance of the presented modular implementation concepts were verified by the close match between the simulated and experimental results.  相似文献

The technique, nanoparticles-induced vertical alignment (NIVA), was applied to fabricate a guest-host liquid crystal display (GH-LCD) without conventional alignment layers. The GH-LCD produced by NIVA exhibited a high reflectance of approximately 59% in the voltage-off state and a low threshold voltage of approximately 2.1 V(rms). NIVA is very suitable to be applied for fabricating a plastic LCD requiring a low temperature process, and a flexible timepiece by using NIVA was demonstrated.  相似文献

A detailed photoluminescence investigation of the thermal redshift and broadening of the excitonic line of cubic CdSe film grown by molecular beam epitaxy is presented. Free excitonic emission from the cubic CdSe film was observed at low temperature. Temperature-dependent measurement was performed to obtain material parameters related to exciton-phonon interaction by fitting the experimental data to the phenomenological model. The relative contribution of both acoustic and optical phonon to the band gap shrinkage and exciton linewidth broadening are discussed. Exciton binding energy of 16±1.5 meV was determined from the Arrhenius analysis.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The Tamm-plasmon-polariton (TPP) occurs at the interface between a metallic film and the photonic-crystal (PC) substrate. Unlike conventional surface-plasmon-polariton (SPP), TPP can be directly excited by both the transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (TM) electromagnetic waves without using additional coupling optics. The fact that the optical functionality of most plasmonics devices is determined after fabrication limits their applications. Tunable SPP devices by applying liquid crystals (LCs) have been widely demonstrated due to their large birefringence and easy controllability via external stimuli. However, actively tuning TPP is difficult because the localised electric field is between the metallic film and PC substrate, the change of refractive index above the metallic film has only small influences on TPP. This article is intended to briefly review recent progress towards using LCs for actively tuning TPP devices. Not only TPP devices can gain benefits from LCs, we will also discuss the applications of TPP for measuring the anisotropy of the alignment films of LC devices. The sensitivity of the proposed scheme will be discussed.  相似文献

Cooperative spectrum sensing, a kind of spectrum sensing scheme in cognitive radio (CR), uses multiple CR relays. To increase performance, this study uses multi‐antenna CR relays and beam‐forming reception. The required bandwidth for reporting channels in cooperative spectrum sensing is crucial. Two‐stage cooperative spectrum sensing is proposed to increase performance without increasing the required bandwidth. The cooperative spectrum sensing is also optimized to allow the CR networks to facilitate the best decision‐making. This study determines the detection performance when beam‐forming reception is used. Numerical simulations are used to validate the effectiveness of the method. It is shown that beam‐forming reception outperforms square‐law combining (SLC) for low SNR values. This study proposes a 2‐stage cooperative spectrum sensing method, which uses multi‐antenna CR relays and beam‐forming reception. The cooperative spectrum sensing is also optimized to allow the CR networks to facilitate the best decision‐making. Numerical simulations are used to validate the effectiveness of the method.  相似文献

The activity of electrocatalysts strongly depends on the number of active sites, which can be increased by downsizing electrocatalysts. Single‐atom catalysts have attracted special attention due to atomic‐scale active sites. However, it is a huge challenge to obtain atomic‐scale CoOx catalysts. The Co‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) own atomically dispersed Co ions, which motivates to design a possible pathway to partially on‐site transform these Co ions to active atomic‐scale CoOx species, while reserving the highly porous features of MOFs. In this work, for the first time, the targeted on‐site formation of atomic‐scale CoOx species is realized in ZIF‐67 by O2 plasma. The abundant pores in ZIF‐67 provide channels for O2 plasma to activate the Co ions in MOFs to on‐site produce atomic‐scale CoOx species, which act as the active sites to catalyze the oxygen evolution reaction with an even better activity than RuO2.  相似文献

Various mixed liquid crystals containing crown ether‐cholesteryl liquid crystal, benzo‐15‐crown‐5‐COO‐C27H45 (B15C5‐COOCh), with various common cholesteric liquid crystals, e.g., cholesteryl chloride, cholesteryl benzoate and cholesteryl palmitate, were prepared and studied using polarizing microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. Investigating the concentration effect of B15C5‐COOCh in mixed liquid crystals revealed that the addition of B15C5‐COOCh resulted in wider phase transition temperature ranges of these cholesteryl liquid crystals. The stability of these B15C5‐COOCh/cholesteryl mixed liquid crystals was studied using comprehensive graphic molecular modeling computer programs (Insight II and Discover) to calculate their molecular energy and stability energy. The effect of salts, e.g. Na+, Co3+, Y3+ and La3+, on the transition temperature range of the mixed liquid crystals was also investigated. The crown ether cholesteric liquid crystal B15C5‐COOCh was applied both as a surfactant and an ion transport carrier to transport metal ions through liquid membranes. Cholesteryl benzo‐15‐crown‐5 exhibited distinctive characteristics of a surfactant and the critical micellar concentration (CMC) of the surfactant was investigated by the pyrene fluorescence probe method. Cholesteryl benzo‐15‐crown‐5 was successfully applied as a good ion transport carrier (Ionophore) to transport various metal ions, e.g. Li+, Na+, La3+, Fe3+ and Co3+, through organic liquid membranes. The transport ability of the cholesteryl benzo‐15‐crown‐5 surfactant for these metal ions was in the order: Co3+ ≥ Li+ > Fe3+ > Na+ > La3+.  相似文献

A multi‐channel piezoelectric quartz crystal gas sensor comprising arrays coated with various organic materials and a home‐made computer interface for data processing were prepared and employed to detect six kinds of common organic pollutants from petrochemical plants including benzene, styrene, chloroform, octane, hexene and hexyne. The principal component analysis (PCA) method was employed to select six kinds of appropriate coating materials for these organic pollutants from 22 adsorbents onto piezoelectric crystals. After performing a PCA assay, six representative coating materials, namely Polyisobutylene, Poly(dimethylsiloxane) (SE30), 4‐tert‐Butylcalix[6]arene, Cholesteryl chloroformate, C60‐Polyphenyl acetylene (C60‐PPA) and Ag(I)/cryptand‐2,2/Ethylene diamine/NH3/Polyvinyl chloride were selected. Moreover, effects of coating load of adsorbents and concentration of pollutants were also investigated. Three kinds of recognition techniques including 2D PCA score map, radar plot and back‐propagation neural network (BPN) were employed for qualitative analysis of these organic pollutants, and a quantitative analysis method could be established by creating calibration curves for each organic pollutant. This homemade multi‐channel piezoelectric quartz crystal gas sensor showed a good detection limit of 0.068‐1.127 mg/L for these organic pollutants. The multi‐channel piezoelectric gas sensor exhibited good reproducibility with a relative standard deviation (RSD) of 1.1‐9.6%. Furthermore, this multi‐channel piezoelectric crystal detection system with BPN recognition technique was also utilized to successfully distinguish and identify each component of the mixture of organic gas samples. Multivariate linear regression (MLR) analysis was employed to quantitatively compute the concentration of species in the organic mixtures.  相似文献

We present a new implementation of the two-grid method for computing extremum eigenpairs of self-adjoint partial differential operators with periodic boundary conditions. A novel two-grid centered difference method is proposed for the numerical solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger–Poisson (SP) eigenvalue problem.We solve the Poisson equation to obtain the nonlinear potential for the nonlinear Schrödinger eigenvalue problem, and use the block Lanczos method to compute the first k   eigenpairs of the Schrödinger eigenvalue problem until they converge on the coarse grid. Then we perform a few conjugate gradient iterations to solve each symmetric positive definite linear system for the approximate eigenvector on the fine grid. The Rayleigh quotient iteration is exploited to improve the accuracy of the eigenpairs on the fine grid. Our numerical results show how the first few eigenpairs of the Schrödinger eigenvalue problem are affected by the dopant in the Schrödinger–Poisson (SP) system. Moreover, the convergence rate of eigenvalue computations on the fine grid is O(h3)O(h3).  相似文献
