A new population-based incremental learning algorithm for conformational searching of molecules is presented. This algorithm is particularly effective at determining, by relatively small number of energy minimizations, global energy minima of large flexible molecules. The algorithm is also able to find a large set of low energy conformations of more rigid small molecules. The performance of the algorithm is relation to other algorithm is examined via the test molecules: C(18) H(38) , C(39)H(80) , cycloheptadecane and a set of five drug-like molecules.  相似文献

Following the great success of traditional microfluidic devices across many disciplines, a new class of microfluidic systems emerged in recent years, which features finely tuned, localized surface modifications within the microstructures in order to keep up with the demand for devices of ever increasing complexity (lab on chip, assay on chip, etc.). Graft photopolymerization has become a powerful tool for such localized surface modifications particularly in combination with poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) devices, as it is compatible with many functional monomers and allows for high spatial resolution. However, application within enclosed PDMS microstructures and in particular well-controlled surface-directed polymerization remains challenging. Detailed understanding of the interaction between photoinitiator, benzophenone (BP), and polymer matrix is needed. We have developed a visualization technique, which allows for observation of reacted BP in situ within the PDMS matrix. We present a detailed study on solvent-driven BP diffusion providing results essential to successful surface treatment. We also identified and investigated photoinitiator inhibition by oxygen and provide appropriate mitigation strategies.  相似文献

In this study, polyaniline-multiwalled carbon nanotube film (PANi-MWCNT) has been polymerized on interdigitated platinum electrode arrays (IDA), fabricated by MEMS technology for the detection of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, using immobilized peptide aptamers as affinity capture reagent. Label-free, electrochemical detection of the specific immune reaction between antigen peptide aptamer HPV-16-L1 (with a molecular weight of 1825 Da), the most common genotype in cytological normal women worldwide, and its specific antibody of HPV-16 (which is much bigger with molecular weight of ca. 150 kDa) on multifunctional PANi-MWCNT based arrays was reported. The most significant advantage of this technique consists of reagentless and multiple detection of antigen-antibody complex formation on well conducting IDA interface of PANi-MWCNT, without intermediate steps or any labeling reagents, as normally required in the previous works.  相似文献

This paper is the first report of a fiber optic SPR biosensor with nanobead signal enhancement. We evaluated the system with a bioassay for the fast and accurate detection of peanut allergens in complex food matrices. Three approaches of an immunoassay to detect Ara h1 peanut allergens in chocolate candy bars were compared; a label-free assay, a secondary antibody sandwich assay and a nanobead enhanced assay. Although label-free detection is the most convenient, our results illustrate that functionalized nanobeads can offer a refined solution to improve the fiber SPR detection limit. By applying magnetite nanoparticles as a secondary label, the detection limit of the SPR bioassay for Ara h1 was improved by two orders of magnitude from 9 to 0.09 μg/mL. The super paramagnetic character of the nanoparticles ensured easy handling. The SPR fibers could be regenerated easily and one fiber could be reused for up to 35 times without loss of sensitivity. The results were benchmarked against a commercially available polyclonal ELISA kit. An excellent correlation was found between the Ara h1 concentrations obtained with the ELISA and the concentrations measured with the SPR fiber assay. In addition, with the SPR fiber we could measure the samples twice as fast as compared to the fastest ELISA protocol. Since the dipstick fiber has no need for microchannels that can become clogged, time consuming rinsing step could be avoided. The linear dynamic range of the presented sensor was between 0.1 and 2 μg/mL, which is considerably larger than the ELISA benchmark.  相似文献

A palladium catalyst immobilized on superparaganetic nanoparticles was prepared with a palladium loading of 0.30 mmol/g. The catalyst was characterized using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry, thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier transform infrared, atomic absorption spectrophotometry, and nitrogen adsorption. The immobilized palladium catalyst was an efficient catalyst without added phosphine ligands for the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction of several aryl bromides with phenylboronic acid. The recovery of catalyst was simply by magnetic decantation in the presence of a magnet. The immobilized palladium catalyst can be reused many times without significant degradation in catalytic activity. No leaching of active palladium species into the reaction solution was detected.  相似文献

We have developed a novel synthetic method that enables us to easily synthesize metal‐capsulated carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in a laboratory by using a combined technology of electrospinning‐metallization and microwave heating. These techniques greatly shorten the time for the synthesis of the CNTs in comparison with the conventional methods. TEM analysis confirmed a successful formation of the CNTs, and the resulting CNTs were multi‐walled and found to be about 25–100 nm in diameters. The products prepared by heating at 600 and 900°C exhibited less‐developed and strongly curved CNTs, whereas the products prepared by heating at 700 and 800°C relatively well‐developed long CNTs. The effect of the interior structure of carbon nanomaterials on their electrochemical properties is not well understood. We report here the electron transfer rate (ETR) of ferrocene (Fc) molecules covalently attached to the exposed end of carbon nanofibers (CNFs) in an embedded nanoelectrode array. The ETR in normal DC voltammetry was found to be limited by the conical graphitic stacking structure interior of CNFs. AC voltammetry, however, can cope with this intrinsic materials property and provide over 100 times higher ETR, likely by a new capacitive pathway. This provides a new method for high‐performance electroanalysis using CNF nanoelectrodes.  相似文献
