This article addresses the synthesis of organically tailored Ni-Al layered double hydroxide (ONi-Al LDH) and its use in the fabrication of exfoliated poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) nanocomposites. The pristine Ni-Al LDH was initially synthesized by co-precipitation method and subsequently modified using sodium dodecyl sulfate to obtain ONi-Al LDH. Nanocomposites of PMMA containing various amounts of modified Ni-Al LDH (3 wt%-7 wt%) were synthesized via solvent blending method to investigate the influence of LDH content on the properties of PMMA matrix. Several characterization methods such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), rheological analysis, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA), were employed to examine the structural, viscoelastic and thermal properties of PMMA/OLDH nanocomposites. The results of XRD and TEM examination confirm the formation of partially exfoliated PMMA/OLDH nanocomposites. The FTIR results elucidate that the characteristic bands for both pure PMMA and modified LDH are present in the spectra of PMMA/OLDH nanocomposites. Rheological analyses were carried out to examine the adhesion between polymer matrix and fillers present in the nanocomposite sample. The TGA data indicate that the PMMA nanocomposites exhibit higher thermal stability when compared to pure PMMA. The thermal decomposition temperature of PMMA/OLDH nanocomposites increases by 28 K compared to that of pure PMMA at 15% weight loss as a point of reference. In comparison with pure PMMA, the PMMA nanocomposite containing 7 wt% LDH demonstrates improved glass transition temperature (T g) of around 3 K. The activation energy (E a), reaction orders (n) and reaction mechanism of thermal degradation of PMMA/OLDH nanocomposites were evaluated using different kinetic models. Water uptake capacity of the PMMA/OLDH nanocomposites is less than that of the pure PMMA.  相似文献

In this paper, we present the expressions relating the inter atomic force constants like as bond-stretching force constant (α in N/m) and bond-bending force constant (β in N/m) for the binary (zinc blende structure) and ternary (chalcopyrite structure) semiconductors with the product of ionic charges (PIC) and crystal ionicity (fi). Interatomic force constants of these compounds exhibit a linear relationship; when plot a graph between Interatomic force constants and the nearest neighbor distance d (Å) with crystal ionicity (fi), but fall on different straight lines according to the product of ionic charges of these compounds. A fairly good agreement has been found between the observed and calculated values of the α and β for binary and ternary tetrahedral semiconductors.  相似文献

Coordinatively unsaturated double‐stranded helicates [(H2L)2Eu2(NO3)2(H2O)4](NO3)4, [(H2L)2Tb2(H2O)6](NO3)6, and [(H2L)2Tb2(H2O)6]Cl6 (H2L=butanedioicacid‐1,4‐bis[2‐(2‐pyridinylmethylene)hydrazide]) are easily obtained by self‐assembly from the ligand and the corresponding lanthanide(III) salts. The complexes are characterized by X‐ray crystallography showing the helical arrangement of the ligands. Co‐ligands at the metal ions can be easily substituted by appropriate anions. A specific luminescence response of AMP in presence of ADP, ATP, and other anions is observed. Specificity is assigned to the perfect size match of AMP to bridge the two metal centers and to replace quenching co‐ligands in the coordination sphere.  相似文献

Short and highly stereoselective total syntheses of the sesquilignan natural product tatanan A and its C3 epimer are described. An assembly‐line synthesis approach, using iterative lithiation–borylation reactions, was applied to install the three contiguous stereocenters with high enantio‐ and diastereoselectivity. One of the stereocenters was installed using a configurationally labile lithiated primary benzyl benzoate, resulting in high levels of substrate‐controlled (undesired) diastereoselectivity. However, reversal of selectivity was achieved by using a novel diastereoselective Matteson homologation. Stereospecific alkynylation of a hindered secondary benzylic boronic ester enabled completion of the synthesis in a total of eight steps.  相似文献

In this article, we describe some of our results on the reactions of allenylphosphonates/allenyl phosphine oxides and allenyl diazaphosphole oxides, primarily cycloaddition and cyclization reactions. Depending on the substituents, both the α,β and β,γ -cycloaddition products have been observed. A novel cyclization reaction of a functionalized allenylphosphine oxide with diethylamine leading to 3-diethylamino-4-diphenylphosphinoyl-1-naphthol is reported. Representative compounds have been characterized by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

Novel blends were prepared from biobased poly(trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT) and poly(butylene adipate‐co‐terephthalate) (PBAT) using a twin screw extrusion process as a function of different weight ratios. Thermal stability, mechanical, and interfacial properties of PTT/PBAT blends were investigated using a thermogravimetric analyzer and mechanical analyzer. Phase behavior and surface morphology of the blends were characterized using scanning electron microscopy. Interfacial bonding value of the PTT/PBAT blend was evaluated from the Pukanszky empirical relationship. Viscoelastic properties of PTT/PBAT blends were investigated using the dynamic mechanical analyzer. PTT/PBAT blend exhibited higher thermal stability than the neat PTT matrix. The entire blend showed better interfacial adhesion between the matrixes. Storage and loss modulus of the PTT/PBAT blend reduces with increasing PBAT content. PTT/PBAT blend exhibited higher impact energy than the neat PTT matrix, because of its flexible and amorphous nature of PBAT polymer and increasing toughness. A rapid and sensitive liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method has been developed and validated for the estimation of amlodipine in human plasma. Amlodipine was extracted from human plasma by using a solid-phase extraction technique. Imipramine was used as the internal standard. A Hypersil BDS C18 column provided chromatographic separation of analytes followed by detection with mass spectrometry. The method involves a rapid solid-phase extraction from plasma, simple isocratic chromatography conditions and mass spectrometric detection that enables detection at sub-nanogram levels. The proposed method has been validated for a linear range of 0.1-10.0 ng/mL with correlation coefficient >or=0.9990. The intrarun and interrun precision and accuracy were within 10.0%. The overall recovery for amlodipine was 63.67%. Total run time was 3.2 min only.  相似文献

We have systematically investigated the phase diagram of clay particles in water to understand the relation between the local and macroscopic properties and the structures of clay suspensions. We focused, in particular, on sodium Cloisite (CNa) particles at concentrations typically used in nanocomposites (concentrations from 1 to 4 wt %) and at an extended range of ionic strengths (10(-5) to 10(-2) M NaCl). The suspensions have been characterized using rheology and a combination of scattering techniques (neutrons, X-rays, and light). We demonstrate the existence of a liquid cluster phase at low clay and intermediate salt concentrations and provide new insight into the nature of the solid-like dispersions at low and high ionic strengths.  相似文献

Electron donor-acceptor dyad ensembles of a water-soluble cationic zinc porphyrin (viz., zinc tetrakis(N-methylpyridinium)porphyrin tetrachloride, Zn(TMPyP)) and a C60 derivative that bears an imidazole ligand (viz., 2-(phenylimidazolyl)fulleropyrrolidine, C60im) were assembled during the formation of Langmuir and then Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films. Surface pressure versus surface area isotherms and surface pressure time profiles, as well as Brewster angle microscopic images documented that the Langmuir films formed were remarkably stable. Subsequently, these Langmuir films were transferred onto different solid substrates, by using the LB technique, for spectroscopic and photoelectrochemical characterization. The UV-vis spectroscopic investigations confirmed that the water-soluble Zn(TMPyP) was, indeed, transferred together with C60im in the LB films. Upon visible light illumination of these LB films, deposited on the ITO transparent conductive supports, a photocurrent generated in the C60im-Zn(TMPyP) system is ascribed to an efficient photoinduced electron transfer from the electron donor, porphyrin singlet excited-state to the electron acceptor, C60. Overall, internal photon-to-current efficiency, IPCE, of the photoanodic current generation (with ascorbate as a sacrificial electron donor) in the ITO/C60im-Zn(TMPyP)/ascorbate/Pt construct is over 5x larger than that of the photocathodic system (with methyl viologen, MV2+, as a sacrificial electron acceptor) in the ITO/Zn(TMPyP)-C60im/MV2+/Pt construct. Highly ordered film stacking favors vectorial electron transfer within the dyad, giving rise to the highest IPCE values of 2.5% determined for a photoanode that was composed of around 20 monolayer films.  相似文献
