A new photoresponsive amphiphilic triblock copolymer, poly(pyrenylmethyl methacrylate)‐block‐polystyrene‐block‐poly(ethylene oxide) (PPy‐b‐PSt‐b‐PEO), was synthesized using atom‐transfer radical polymerization. Formation of colloidal aggregates of the polymer was observed in solutions under controlled conditions due to the amphiphilic nature of the polymer. Irradiation of the polymer aggregates using UV light resulted in the photodissociation of 1‐pyrenemethanol units from the polymer back‐bone resulting in break‐up of the aggregates mainly due to the hydrophilic nature of the residual polymer. The use of these polymer aggregates to trap hydrophobic fluorescent dyes in water and its controlled release on exposure to UV light has also been explored. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Titanium dioxide nanoparticles were prepared by a electrochemical reduction method using parameters such as current density, solvent polarity, distance between electrodes, and concentration of stabilizers to control the size of the nanoparticles. The nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy, and their catalytic performance was tested for the synthesis of a series of 4-aryldiene-2-phenyl-5(4)-oxazolones from the cyclodehydration and condensation of the respective aldehyde, hippuric acid and acetic anhydride. Immuno‐oncology (IO) is an emerging option to treat cancer malignancies. In the last two years, IO has accounted for more than 90% of the new active drugs in various therapeutic indications of oncology drug development. Bioanalytical methods used for the quantitation of various IO small molecule drugs have been summarized in this review. The most commonly used are HPLC and LC–MS/MS methods. Determination of IO drugs from biological matrices involves drug extraction from the biological matrix, which is mostly achieved by simple protein precipitation, liquid–liquid extraction and solid‐phase extraction. Subsequently, quantitation is usually achieved by LC–MS/MS, but HPLC–UV has also been employed. The bioanalytical methods reported for each drug are briefly discussed and tabulated for easy access. Our review indicates that LC–MS/MS is a versatile and reliable tool for the sensitive, rapid and robust quantitation of IO drugs. 相似文献
