The derivative of self-intersection local time (DSLT) for Brownian motion was introduced by Rosen (2005) and subsequently used by others to study the L2 and L3 moduli of continuity of Brownian local time. A version of the DSLT for fractional Brownian motion (fBm) was introduced in Yan et al. (2008); however, the definition given there presents difficulties, since it is motivated by an incorrect application of the fractional Itô formula. To rectify this, we introduce a modified DSLT for fBm and prove existence using an explicit Wiener chaos expansion. We will then argue that our modification is the natural version of the DSLT by rigorously proving the corresponding Tanaka formula. This formula corrects a formal identity given in both Rosen (2005) and Yan et al. (2008). In the course of this endeavor we prove a Fubini theorem for integrals with respect to fBm. The Fubini theorem may be of independent interest, as it generalizes (to Hida distributions) similar results previously seen in the literature. As a further byproduct of our investigation, we also provide a small correction to an important technical second-moment bound for fBm which has appeared in the literature many times. 相似文献

A connected dominating set (CDS) is commonly used to model a virtual backbone of a wireless network. To bound the distance that information must travel through the network, we explicitly restrict the diameter of a CDS to be no more than s leading to the concept of a dominating s-club. We prove that for any fixed positive integer s it is NP-complete to determine if a graph has a dominating s -club, even when the graph has diameter s+1. As a special case it is NP-complete to determine if a graph of diameter two has a dominating clique. We then propose a compact integer programming formulation for the related minimization problem, enhance the approach with variable fixing rules and valid inequalities, and present computational results. 相似文献

Our aim in this article is to study the numerical solutions of singularly perturbed convection–diffusion problems in a circular domain and provide as well approximation schemes, error estimates and numerical simulations. To resolve the oscillations of classical numerical solutions due to the stiffness of our problem, we construct, via boundary layer analysis, the so-called boundary layer elements which absorb the boundary layer singularities. Using a $P_1$ classical finite element space enriched with the boundary layer elements, we obtain an accurate numerical scheme in a quasi-uniform mesh. 相似文献

This article considers the leader‐following consensus problem of heterogeneous multi‐agent systems. The proposed multi‐agent system is consisted of heterogeneous agents where each agents have their own nonlinear dynamic behavior. To overcome difficulty from heterogeneous nonlinear intrinsic dynamics of agents, a fuzzy disturbance observer is adopted. In addition, based on the Lyapunov stability theory, an adaptive control method is used to compensate the observation error caused by the difference between the unknown factor and estimated values. Refractory materials are subjected to both quasi-static and dynamic thermal loading (thermal shock) causing damage up to mechanical failure. Typical refractories are magnesia carbon bricks consisting of periclase (MgO) and carbon inclusions. Recently, a significant improvement of the thermo-mechanical behaviour could be achieved by cellular hybrid composites made of periclase-filled carbon foams. The present contribution focuses on MgO-filled carbon foams and the investigation and optimisation of the structure-property relationship with respect to a reduction of thermally induced stresses and damage. It is a transient as well as static, fully coupled thermo-mechanical problem. According to the fact that, in general, refractories are brittle materials a linear elastic model, with a damage criterion was used. To optimise the structural morphology of the cellular refractories, the effect of micro structural changes has been determined. For the investigation of the thermal shock! behaviour, the results correlate very well with the experimentally motivated Hasselman relation. A new hydride vapor phase epitaxy (HVPE)-based approach for the fabrication of freestanding GaN (FS-GaN) substrates was investigated. For the direct formation of low-temperature GaN (LT-GaN) layers, the growth parameters were optimized: the polarity of ZnO, the growth temperature, and the V/III ratio. The FS-GaN layer was achieved by gas etching in an HVPE reactor. A fingerprint of Zn out-diffusion was detected in the photoluminescence measurements, especially for the thin (80 μm) FS-GaN film; however, a thicker film (400 μm) was effectively reduced by optimization of GaN growth. 相似文献
