In this letter, we discuss the increase in the average cluster size by lowering the stagnation temperature of the methane (CH4) gas. The Coulomb explosion experiments are conducted to estimate the cluster size and the size distribution. The average CH4 cluster sizes Nay of 6 230 and 6 580 are acquired with the source conditions of 30 bars at 240 K and 60 bars at 296 K, respectively. Empirical estimation suggests a five-fold increase in the average size of the CH4 clusters at 240 K compared with that at room temperature under a backing pressure of 30 bars. A strong nonlinear Hagena parameter relation (Г^*∝ T0^-3.3) for the CH4 clusters is revealed. The results may be favorable for the production of large-sized clusters by using gases at low temperature and high back pressures. 相似文献

The interactive phenomena between a rotating arc and a premixed methane/air flame have been investigated. The effects of the rotating arc on the flame were observed: both lean and rich flammability limit was extended with the rotating arc on. More interestingly, the opposite interactions, i.e., the effects of the flame on the rotating arc, were also observed: the arc length, angular speed, and electrical characteristics are affected by the flame. An analysis of the optical emission spectra showed that the rotating arc generates chemically active species such as excited N2 molecules and O and H atoms. An analysis of the gas products indicated that the concentrations of the major gas products such as CO2, CO, and H2 were not significantly affected by the rotating arc, although the flammability limit are significantly extended. Unlike these major gas products, minor products like NOx emissions increased by an order of magnitude in the presence of a rotating arc under certain air/fuel conditions. 相似文献

Novel lithium–lanthanide (Ln: cerium and praseodymium) bimetallic coordination polymers with formulas C10H2LnLiO8 (Ln: Ce (CeLipma) and Pr (PrLipma)) and C10H3CeO8 (Cepma) were prepared through a simple hydrothermal method. The three compounds were characterized by means of FTIR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, SEM, TEM, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The results of structural refinement show that they belong to triclinic symmetry and P space group with cerium (or praseodymium) and lithium cations, forming coordination bonds to oxygen atoms from different pyromellitic acid molecules, and leading to the construction of 3D structures. It is interesting to note that the frameworks exclude any coordination water and lattice water. As an electrode material for lithium-ion batteries, CeLipma exhibits a maximum capacity of 800.5 mAh g−1 and a retention of 91.4 % after 50 cycles at a current density of 100 mA g−1. The traditional for the determination of α‐tocopherol in cereal grains includes saponification of a sample followed by liquid–liquid extraction, and it is time‐ and solvent consuming. In this study, a dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction (DLLME) method was developed to extract α‐tocopherol in situ from the saponified grain sample solution. The DLLME experimental parameters including the type and volume of extractants, the volume of dispersers, the addition of salt and the extraction/centrifuging time were examined and optimized. The recommended analytical procedure showed excellent precision (relative SDs of the α‐tocopherol amount of 3.1% over intraday and 7.2% over interday), high sensitivity (the detection limit of 1.9 ng/mL), and strong recovery values (88.9–102.5%). In addition, statistical analyses showed no significant difference between the detected amounts of α‐tocopherol found by the standardized method and this new procedure. The method was successfully applied to determining the amounts and distribution of α‐tocopherol in 14 cereal grain samples. 相似文献
