Surface photografting with 2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate phosphate has been used to improve the flame retardancy of polyamide 6.6 fabrics. Limiting oxygen index tests and vertical burning tests were used to characterize the fire performance. The highest limiting oxygen index value of the grafted sample can reach up to 31.2, which is 58% higher than that of the ungrafted fabric. The thermal stability and char morphology of the polyamide 6.6 fabrics have been characterized by the thermogravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy analysis. Kinetic analysis on fabric samples was investigated, and the results show that the activation energy of the grafted sample is higher than that of the ungrafted fabric. The condensation of monovalent counterions and trivalent salt particles around strong rigid and flexible polyelectrolyte chains as well as spherical macroions is investigated by Monte Carlo simulations. The results are compared with the condensation theory proposed by Manning. Considering flexible polyelectrolyte chains, the presence of trivalent salt is found to play an important role by promoting chain collapse. The attraction of counterions and salt particles near the polyelectrolyte chains is found to be strongly dependent on the chain linear charge density with a more important condensation at high values. When trivalent salt is added in a solution containing monovalent salt, the trivalent cations progressively replace the monovalent counterions. Ion condensation around flexible chains is also found to be more efficient compared with rigid rods due to monomer rearrangement around counterions and salt cations. In the case of spherical macroions, it is found that a fraction of their bare charge is neutralized by counterions and salt cations. The decrease of the Debye length, and thus the increase of salt concentration, promotes the attraction of counterions and salt particles at the macroion surface. Excluded volume effects are also found to significantly influence the condensation process, which is found to be more important by decreasing the ion size.  相似文献

The 2-spin Ising model in statistical mechanics and the 2×2 normal form game in game theory are compared. All configurations allowed by the second are recovered by the first when the only concern is about Nash equilibria. But it holds no longer when Pareto optimum considerations are introduced as in the prisoner’s dilemma. This gap can nevertheless be filled by adding a new coupling term to the Ising model, even if that term has up to now no physical meaning. An individual complete bilinear objective function is thus found to be sufficient to reproduce all possible configurations of a 2×2 game. Using this one-to-one mapping new perspectives for future research in both fields can be envisioned.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Selanylated difluoromethylphosphonates and difluoromethylphosphonothioates are good precursors to phosphonodifluoromethyl and phosphonothiodifluoromethyl radicals, respectively. When generated in the presence of alkenes and a hydrogen donor, the corresponding alpha,alpha-difluorinated alkylphosphonates or alkylphosphonothioates are produced in fair to good yields. The use of alkynes results in the formation of alpha,alpha-difluorinated allyl derivatives in useful yields. The presence of the sulfur atom in phosphonothiodifluoromethyl radicals usually translates into higher isolated yields.  相似文献

We consider the process of cleaning a network where at each time step, all vertices that have at least as many brushes as incident, contaminated edges, send brushes down these edges and remove them from the network. An added condition is that, because of the contamination model used, the final configuration must be the initial configuration of another cleaning of the network. We find the minimum number of brushes required for trees, cycles, complete bipartite networks; and for all networks when all edges must be cleaned on each step. Finally, we give bounds on the number of brushes required for complete networks.  相似文献

Distributed research testbeds play a fundamental role in the evaluation of disruptive innovations for the Future Internet. In recent years, the main research funding agencies have promoted several initiatives aimed at designing and building open, large scale, realistic experimental facilities that could be used to evaluate innovative networking architectures, paradigms and services. In this paper, after discussing the main challenges in building such infrastructures, we present how, by leveraging the concept of federation, we managed to introduce a first degree of heterogeneity into PlanetLab Europe, a European testbed federated with PlanetLab, by providing UMTS connectivity to PlanetLab Europe nodes. Our contribution is just a first step of an evolutionary path whose further developments will lead to next generation large-scale heterogeneous testbeds for supporting experimentally-driven research on the Network of the Future (Preliminary results within the same framework of this work have been recently published in Canonico et al. (2007) and Botta et al. (2008)).  相似文献

The reaction to fire of polymer nanocomposites (thermoplastic polyurethane and polyamide-6) containing two different nanofillers (organoclay and carbon nanotube) has been investigated. Polymer nanocomposites exhibit significant reduction of peak of heat release rate but the nanomorphology (exfoliation, intercalation and presence of tactoids) does not play any significant role, although a reasonable level of nanodispersion is necessary to achieve good flame retardancy in specific cases (mass loss calorimetry experiment). Modelling aspects for the time to ignition are also proposed in the paper. It is shown that the approach ‘nanocomposite’ gives the best results combined with conventional flame retardants (phosphinate and phosphate) and leads to synergistic effects. The aspects of nanodispersion of the nanoparticle with the flame retardant (microfiller) are fully commented in the paper using TEM and solid state NMR. Mechanisms of action are finally proposed explaining the synergy when conventional flame retardants are combined with nanoparticles.  相似文献

Due to its high efficiency, selectivity, and sensitivity, CE-ESI/MS has evolved as an efficient technique for the drugs and metabolites analysis in biological matrices. However, a sample preparation is mandatory prior to CE-ESI/MS analysis. To achieve fast and simplified sample preparation of plasma samples, protein precipitation (PP) and liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) were used with two injection techniques: hydrodynamic (HD) and electrokinetic (EK) injection. CE-ESI/MS analyses of pharmaceutical compounds and amphetamine derivatives were developed. Detection limits of 1 ppm were reached with PP and HD injection whereas 1 ppb was detected when samples were prepared with LLE and injected by EK. Same experiments were performed for stereoselective determinations in partial-filling mode and detection limits achieved were equivalent to conventional analysis (0.5 ppb per enantiomer). When complex matrices are analyzed, MS signal suppression or enhancement effects are generally not reproducible and could compromise results with ESI. Therefore, matrix effect was investigated in CE-ESI/MS with a commercially available coaxial sheath-liquid ESI interface used as postcapillary infusion system to determine MS signal alterations. Matrix effects were differentially evidenced according to the selected sample preparation. With PP, signal suppression was observed out of the analyses migration window, while for LLE no relevant matrix effect occurred in all experiments.  相似文献

With a view to developing repellent materials combining both low surface energy and rough structure, original semi-fluorinated polythiophenes have been chemically and electrochemically synthesized and characterized by cyclic voltammetry, GPC, and UV-visible measurements. Polymer films have been deposited onto different substrates by drop casting a soluble polymer fraction on glass plate or by electrodeposition on ITO plate. Surface properties and particularly water and oil repellencies have been investigated by goniometry and correlated with the surface morphology and structure observed by SEM. The incorporation of fluorocarbon chains in the rigid polythiophene backbone yields very low surface free energy materials. Moreover, the way of deposition has a huge influence on the quality and performance of the film surface properties. Electroformed polymers, due to rough surfaces, exhibit great super-hydrophobic and lipophobic properties together with exceptional time stability.  相似文献

We report charge inversion, the sign reversal of the effective surface charge in the presence of multivalent counterions, for the biologically relevant regimes of divalent ions and mixtures of monovalent and multivalent ions. Using streaming currents, the pressure-driven transport of countercharges in the diffuse layer, we find that charge inversion occurs in rectangular silica nanochannels at high concentrations of divalent ions. Strong monovalent screening is found to cancel charge inversion, restoring the original surface charge polarity. An analytical model based on ion correlations successfully describes our observations.  相似文献
