Antimicrobial properties casing wide applicability in water detoxification, pharmaceutics and in industries. Present work focus on the synthesis of a new series of Schiff Bases (E)-4-(1 substituted-1H Benzo[d]imidazole-2-yl)-N'-(substituted Benzylidene)benzohydrazide (5a-5l) were synthesized. The convenient route for the synthesis of new analogues by the condensation of 4-(substituted -1H-Benzo[d]imidazole-2-yl)-N'- Hydrazine with different derivatives of aromatic aldehydes were described using different solvents and catalysts. The structures of the synthesized compounds were ascertain by spectral techniques viz. IR, 1H NMR, MS and Physical Elemental data. Compounds were also subjected to thermal analysis to study their physical and chemical properties. The title compounds were also screened for their antimicrobial activity against various bacterial & Fungal strains. Results of bioassay vary with diverse group attached to Benzimdazole motif and could be helpful for the development of other bioactive molecules.  相似文献

An amino‐acid‐based hydrophobically modified biocompatible copolymer, poly[(sodium N‐acryloyl‐L ‐valinate)‐co‐(N‐octylacrylamide)] was synthesized and characterized. Techniques such as fluorescence probes, DLS, and TEM were used to investigate its aggregation behavior in aqueous solution. The copolymer was observed to form micellar aggregates having diameters in the nanometer range in aqueous solution (pH = 8) through inter‐chain hydrophobic association. This behavior was found to be similar to that of poly[(sodium N‐acryloyl‐L ‐valinate)‐co‐(N‐dodecylacrylamide)]. The compact micellar nanostructures were observed to be stable with respect to changes of pH and temperature. The encapsulation and release of griseofulvin, a hydrophobic model drug, was studied.

A simple, sensitive and rapid high-performance liquid chromatography/negative ion electrospray tandem mass spectrometry method was developed and validated for the assay of fluvastatin in human plasma. Following solid-phase extraction, the analytes were separated using an isocratic mobile phase on a reversed-phase column and analyzed by mass spectrometry in the multiple reaction monitoring mode using the respective [M-H]- ions, m/z 410/348 for fluvastatin and m/z 480/418 for the internal standard. The assay exhibited a linear dynamic range of 2-500 ng/mL for fluvastatin in human plasma. The lower limit of quantification was 2 ng/mL with a relative standard deviation of less than 5%. Acceptable precision and accuracy were obtained for concentrations over the standard curve range. A run time of 1.5 min for each sample made it possible to analyze more than 400 human plasma samples per day. The validated method has been successfully used to analyze human plasma samples for application in pharmacokinetic, bioavailability or bioequivalence studies.  相似文献

Using the plasma oscillations theory of solids, simple relations have been proposed for the calculation of bulk modulus (B) and microhardness (H) of group IV, II-VI, III-V, I-III-VI2 and II-IV-V2 semiconductors with tetrahedral structure. We find that B=K1 (p)2.3333 and H=K2 (p)2.3333K3, where K1, K2 and K3 are the constants. The numerical values of K1, K2 and K3 are respectively, 0.141, 0.036 and 12.895 for group IV, 0.109, 0.0037 and 0.782 for II-VI, 0.125, 0.0202 and 5.743 for III-V, 0.109, 0.0065 and 1.160 for I-III-VI2, and 0.125, 0.0359 and 15.310 for II-IV-V2 semiconductors. The calculated values of B and H are compared with the experimental values and the values reported by different workers. Reasonably good agreement has been obtained between them.  相似文献

Two unique lanthanide‐based cages [Ln10( L )52‐OH)6(H2O)22](Cl)4?7 H2O ([Gd10] and [Dy10]) have been synthesized by using a hydrazone‐based ligand H4 L (H4 L =2,6‐bis[(3‐methoxysalicylidene)hydrazinecarbonyl]pyridine) and LnCl3?x H2O. Structural characterization of [Gd10] reveals an aesthetically pleasing self‐assembly of five L 4? and ten Gd3+ ions forming a 2×[1×5] rectangular array. The ladder‐shaped cage consists of three “rungs” and two “rails” that are occupied by five ligands. Six out of ten gadolinium centers act as rung locks. Further analysis revealed that three chloride ions are encapsulated inside each discrete [Gd10] molecule through hydrogen bonding and other noncovalent interactions. Both the complexes ([Gd10] and [Dy10]) were characterized by powder X‐ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis, which shows that they are isostructural in nature. Magnetic investigations reveal that [Gd10] is a good candidate for magnetic refrigeration with a significant entropy change (?ΔSm) of 37.4 J kg?1 K?1 for an applied field of 7 T and at 3 K. Whereas [Dy10] shows single‐molecule‐magnet‐like behavior.  相似文献

Amide and ester conjugates of aceclofenac with polyamidoamine (PAMAM-G0) dendrimer zero generation and dextran (40 kDa) polymeric carrier, respectively, are presented. The prepared conjugates were characterized by UV, TLC, HPLC, IR, and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The average degrees of substitution of amide and ester conjugates were determined and found to be (12.5 ± 0.24) % and (7.5 ± 0.25) %, respectively. The in vitro hydrolysis studies showed that dextran ester conjugate hydrolyzed faster in a phosphate buffer solution of pH 9.0 as compared to PAMAM dendrimer G0 amide conjugate, and followed the first order kinetics. No amount of the drug was regenerated at pH 1.2 in simulated gastric fluid. The dextran conjugate showed short half-life as compared to the PAMAM dendrimer conjugate. Anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities of the dendrimer conjugate were found to be similar to those of the standard drug. Results of chronic ulceroginic activity showed deep ulceration and high ulcer index for aceclofenac, whereas lower ulcer index was found for the PAMAM dendrimer and dextran (40 kDa) conjugates. Experimental data suggest that PAMAM dendrimer and dextran (40 kDa) can be used as carriers for the sustained delivery of aceclofenac along with a remarkable reduction in gastrointestinal toxicity.  相似文献

Montmorillonite clay mineral shows remarkable ion exchange, intercalation and swelling properties. It can act as a good host for large organic molecules. Intercalated coordination compounds can be prepared in the interlayer spaces of montmorillonite structure. Cu(II)- and Ni(II)- exchanged montmorillonite sorb 8-hydroxyquinoline (oxine) to form corresponding coordination compounds of the exchanged metal ions. Such compounds have been characterised by means of elemental analysts, infrared spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility data and X-ray diffraction. These compound show good thermal stability.  相似文献

Oxidative stress plays a major role in the pathogenesis of both types of diabetes mellitus. Excessively high levels of free radicals cause damage to cellular proteins, membrane lipids and nucleic acids, and eventually cell death. The present study was designed to investigate the possible effect of Azadirachta indica leaf extract in high fat diet induced diabetic Charles Foster rats. The increased level of lipidperoxidation and altered levels of enzymatic (superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and catalase) and non-enzymatic (glutathione) antioxidants were seen in high fructose fed animals. The treatment with A. indica leaf extract significantly normalized the altered levels of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant status at 400?mg/kg b.w. dose. The A. indica leaf extract was also tested for in vitro inhibition of generation of superoxide anion and hydroxyl free radical in both enzymatic and non-enzymatic systems. The A. indica leaf extract was found to inhibit generation of superoxide anion and hydroxyl free radical significantly at 200???g/ml concentration. Data of present study demonstrated that the A. indica leaf extract has both antidiabetic and antioxidant properties.  相似文献

Polyesterimide offers a class of resin which combines the advantage of high temperature stability with ease of process-ability. Gum rosin, the exudate of pine trees, has been developed as the raw material for preparation of polyesterimide. Abietic acid of rosin reacts readily with maleic anhydride to form the Diels-Alder adduct, which reacts with p-amino benzoic acid to produce a dicarboxylic acid containing an internal imide group. The dicarboxylic acid reacts with diethylene glycol under melt polycondensation at higher temperature (260–300°C)to produce polyesterimide. The polymer is found to be soluble in highly polar solvents. The polymer is amorphous and of low molecular weight. Thermal stability of the polymer has been characterized, and the polymer was found to be thermostable.  相似文献
