Laser pulse heating of steel surface and flexural wave analysis

Laser gas-assisted material processing finds wide application in industry. The modelling of heating, elastic response of the substrate material, and the wave analysis gives insight into the laser workpiece interaction. In the present study, laser gas-assisted heating of steel is considered. The normal component of the thermal stress is taken as the source of load for the flexural wave generation in the material. The flexural wave generated is simulated and the wave characteristics are analyzed at four locations at the workpiece surface. The numerical scheme employing a control volume approach is introduced when solving the governing equations of flow and heat transfer while finite element and spectran element methods are used when solving the stress and wave equations. It is found that the normal component of the stress is tensile. The dispersion effect of the workpiece material, interference of the reflected beam, and partial overlapping of second mode of the travelling wave enable to identify a unique pattern in the travelling wave in the substrate.     

Analysis of the Coaxial Ridge-Loaded Helical Groove Waveguide

The coaxial ridge-loaded helical groove waveguide is proposed in this paper. As an all-metal slow-wave circuit, it has advantages of good heat dissipation and great size, and thus is suitable for use of millimeter TWT. By means of field theory, the expressions of the dispersion equation and the coupling impedance of the coaxial ridge-loaded helical groove waveguide are obtained. The influence of various circuit dimensions on the dispersion relation and the coupling impedance is investigated by the results of numerical computation.     

新颖的基于小波变换的数字水印方案

随着计算机网络技术与多媒体技术的快速发展，数字产品的版权保护已经成为信息技术领域中最重要的问题之一，提出了一种新颖的基于离散小波变换的数字水印方案，该方案利用改进的Pacthwork算法，将水印嵌入到LL子带中，水印信号在解码过程中无需使用原始图像可快速地重嵌入，该算法利用BCH码来降低误码率，应用所提出的算法，把一个32个字符的水印嵌入到图像中，实现结果表明水印是不可察觉的，经过JPEG有损压缩，低通与中值滤波等图像处理操作后仍是鲁棒的。     

Physico-Chemical Characterization of Yu Guo Beads(1100-771 B. C. ) in China

When was the earliest glass produced in China? This has still been a question so far. Some archaeologists have thought that Yu Guo beads are real glass, the earliest glass(1100-771 B. C. ) in China. However, more details of scientific investigations in this paper show that Yu Guo beads are mainly made of clastic quartz (>95%) with a small amount of clay and sintered under the low temperature(500-600℃). It is not a glassy body, but a kind of polycrystal ornaments.

木犀科植物花粉的扫描电镜研究

植物花粉的形态特征具有种属特异性。本文用扫描电子显微镜观察了木犀科(Oleaceae)的六属八种植物花粉的形态特征。结果表明,除迎春有个别四萌发沟外,其它花粉都是三沟型,外壁纹饰均为网状。但各种植物花粉的细微形态仍有明显差异。因此,用扫描电镜观察研究植物花粉的亚微形态特征,可为植物分类提供一些必要的形态依据。     

高频单线圈双调谐NMR单晶探头的研制

本文报道了一种测角单晶NMR探头。该探头采用单线圃双调谐电路,工作频率在90MHz-110 MHz连续可调,可进行交叉极化大功率去耦实验。文中提出了一种简单而有效的测角装置,可使单晶绕三个互相垂直轴转动实现单晶的NMR测量。作为典型的应用例子,本文利用该探头实现了单晶DGO(2NH₂CH₂COOH·H₂C₂O₄)屏蔽张量的测量。     

Radix-4 Vectoring CORDIC Algorithm and Architectures

In this work we extend the radix-4 CORDIC algorithm to the vectoring mode (the radix-4 CORDIC algorithm was proposed recently by the authors for the rotation mode). The extension to the vectoring mode is not straightforward, since the digit selection function is more complex in the vectoring case than in the rotation case; as in the rotation mode, the scale factor is not constant. Although the radix-4 CORDIC algorithm in vectoring mode has a similar recurrence as the radix-4 division algorithm, there are specific issues concerning the vectoring algorithm that demand dedicated study. We present the digit selection for nonredundant and redundant arithmetic (following two different approaches: arithmetic comparisons and table look-up), the computation and compensation of the scale factor, and the implementation of the algorithm (with both types of digit selection) in a word-serial architecture. When compared with conventional radix-2 (redundant and non-redundant) architectures, the radix-4 algorithms present a significant speed up for angle calculation. For the computation of the magnitude the speed up is very slight, due to the nonconstant scale factor in the radix-4 algorithm.
