A study of an epoxy-cycloaliphatic amine system has been realized using a thermogravimetric technique (TG). Isothermal and
non-isothermal (dynamic) methods were employed to determine the kinetic data of this system.
Five methods were used for determining the activation energies of this system in the dynamic heating experiments. In two of
them (Flynn-Wall-Ozawa, and Kissinger) it is not necessary to have a prior knowledge of the reaction mechanism of the degradation
behaviour for this system. In the other ones (Coats and Redfern, Horowitz and Metzger, and Van Krevelen et al.) it is necessary
to know this reaction mechanism, besides Criado et al. method was used for determining it.
The results have shown that good agreement between the activation energies obtained from all methods can be achieved if it
is assumed that the degradation behaviour of this system is of sigmoidal-rate type.

A simple, selective and sensitive heavy atom-induced room temperature phosphorimetric method (HAI-RTP) is described for the determination of naproxen (NAP) in pharmaceutical preparations. The phosphorescence signals are a consequence of intermolecular protection when analytes are, exclusively, in presence of a heavy atom salt and sodium sulfite as an oxygen scavenger to minimize RTP quenching. These variables selection constitute the basis of a HAI-RTP method for the determination of naproxen (detection limit 17.6 ng ml(-1); 1.71% relative standard deviation at 250 ng ml(-1)). The method has been applied satisfactorily to the analysis of pharmaceutical preparations. 相似文献

Direct and rapid intracellular delivery of a functional Cas9/sgRNA complex using ultrasound‐powered nanomotors is reported. The Cas9/sgRNA complex is loaded onto the nanomotor surface through a reversible disulfide linkage. A 5 min ultrasound treatment enables the Cas9/sgRNA‐loaded nanomotors to directly penetrate through the plasma membrane of GFP‐expressing B16F10 cells. The Cas9/sgRNA is released inside the cells to achieve highly effective GFP gene knockout. The acoustic Cas9/sgRNA‐loaded nanomotors display more than 80 % GFP knockout within 2 h of cell incubation compared to 30 % knockout using static nanowires. More impressively, the nanomotors enable highly efficient knockout with just 0.6 nm of the Cas9/sgRNA complex. This nanomotor‐based intracellular delivery method thus offers an attractive route to overcome physiological barriers for intracellular delivery of functional proteins and RNAs, thus indicating considerable promise for highly efficient therapeutic applications. 相似文献

Enthalpy relaxation in a system containing the diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) resin and a diamine, 1,3-bisaminomethylcyclohexane
(1,3-BAC) as curing agent, has been investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Samples fully cured were annealed
at temperature Tg–15 °C for periods of time from 1 h to a maximum of 168 h. The enthalpy relaxation is analyzed by the peak shift method, in
which the sample is heated at 10 °C/min following cooling at various rates through the glass transition region. The key parameters
of structural relaxation determined were the non-linearity parameter x=0.47 ± 0.02, the apparent activation energy Δh*=1264 ± 48 kJ/mol or Δh*/R=152 ± 6 kK and the non-exponentiality parameter β ≈ 0.3. The results, obtained by the same method, were compared with those for other systems based on fully cured DGEBA. The
correlations among these parameters with the peak shift model should be considered with caution. However, the results show
that a correlation between crosslink lengths and the value of Δh* can be considered. The relaxation process for DGEBA/1,3-BAC proves to be highly cooperative.

The objective of this study was to synthesize several new pregnane derivatives and evaluate them as antiandrogens. From the commercially available 16-dehydropregnenolone acetate (7), two new steroidal compounds were synthesized: 17alpha-hydroxy-17beta-methyl-16beta-phenyl-D-homoandrosta-1,4,6-triene-3,20-dione (18) and 17alpha-acetoxy-17beta-methyl-16beta-phenyl-D-homoandrosta-1,4,6-triene-3,20-dione (19). The 5alpha-reductase inhibitory effect of the new compounds 18 and 19 together with the previously synthesized intermediates 7, 8, 13, 16, and 17 was determined in three different models: gonadectomized hamster flank organs diameter size, incorporation of [1,2-(14)C]sodium acetate into lipids in flank organs and conversion of [3H]testosterone (T) to [3H]dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by Penicillium crustosum. The evaluation of these steroids was carried out with three different controls: one group was treated with vehicle, the second with T and the third group with T plus finasteride. The pharmacological results from this work demonstrated that T significantly increases the diameter of the pigmented spot on the flank organs (p<0.05) as well as the incorporation of labeled sodium acetate into lipids in gonadectomized hamster flank organs (from 0.125 to 0.255 nmol per gland). In this study we also observed that broth of Penicillium crustosum converted [3H]T to [3H]DHT in a manner comparable to that of the flank organs. All experiments indicated that finasteride as well as steroids 7, 8, 13, 16-19 reduced significantly the conversion of T to DHT in P. crustosum. These compounds also decrease the size of the pigmented spot in the flank organs as well as reducing the incorporation of radiolabeled sodium acetate into lipids; T and the control sample (treated with vehicle only) were used for comparison. Apparently the presence of the 4,6-diene-3,20-dione moiety and also the C-17 ester group produce a higher inhibitory effect on the parameters used. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy (PDT), using δ‐aminolevulinic acid (5‐ALA), in the elimination of premalignant cervical lesions in Mexican patients with human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and/or cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN). Thirty women diagnosed with CIN I and/or positive for HPV participated in the study. Topical 6% 5‐ALA in gel form was applied to the uterine cervix; after 4 h, the lesion area was irradiated with a light dose of 200 J cm?2 at 635 nm. This procedure was performed three times at 48‐h intervals. Clinical follow‐up was performed at 3, 6, and 12 months after the initial PDT administration, by colposcopy, cervical cytology, histopathological analysis, polymerase chain reaction, and hybrid capture. Of HPV‐infected patients without evidence of CIN I, 80% cleared the infection, while HPV associated with CIN I was eliminated in 83% of patients (P < 0.05). At 12 months, CIN I had regressed in 57% of patients, although this response was not statistically significant. PDT using 6% 5‐ALA is concluded to be effective in eliminating HPV infection associated or not with CIN I. 相似文献

Due to the increased use of nanocomposites, mixing at nanoscale has become important. Current mixing techniques can be classified
into: (a) dry mixing (mechanical mixing), (b) wet mixing, and (c) simultaneous production of mixed nanoparticles (when possible).
Dry mixing is in general not effective in achieving desired mixing at nanoscale, whereas wet mixing suffers from different
disadvantages like nanomaterial of interest should be insoluble, has to wet the liquid, and involves additional steps of filtration
and drying. This paper examines the use of pressurized carbon dioxide having high density and low viscosity to replace the
liquids (e.g., n-hexane, toluene). Ultrasound is applied to the suspension of nanopowders in gaseous and supercritical carbon dioxide where
high impact collisions during sonication help mixing and the final mixture is obtained by simple depressurization. The method
is tested for binary mixture of alumina/silica, silica/titania, MWNT (multiwalled carbon nanotubes)/silica, and MWNT/titania.
The effects of sonication intensity and pressure on the degree of mixing are studied. Comparative study is also done with
liquid n-hexane as a mixing media. Quantitative characterization (e.g., mean composition standard deviation, intensity of segregation)
of mixing of alumina/silica and silica/titania is done with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and that of MWNT/silica
and MWNT/titania is done using field-emission scanning electron microscopy and day-light illumination spectrophotometry. Results
show that mixing in carbon dioxide at higher ultrasound amplitudes is as good as in liquid n-hexane, and the final mixed product does not contain any residual media as in the case of liquid n-hexane. 相似文献
