Bisphenol A (BPA) is ubiquitous in humans and the environment. Its potential adverse effects through genomic and non-genomic pathways have fostered BPA replacement by bisphenol analogs that, unfortunately, exert similar adverse effects. Many of these analogs, as well as their derivatives, have already found in humans and the environment and major concerns have arisen over their low dose- and mixture-related effects. This review aims to discuss the characteristics of the main analytical methods reported so far for the determination of mixtures of bisphenol analogs and/or derivatives in human and environmental exposure sources and biological fluids. Approaches followed for removal of background contamination, sample preparation and separation and detection of mixtures of bisphenols and derivatives are critically discussed. Sample treatment is matrix-dependent and common steps include analyte isolation, removal of interferences, evaporation of the extracts and solvent reconstitution. Separation and quantification has been almost exclusively carried out by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) or gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC–MS), in the last case prior derivatization, but LC-fluorescence detection has also found some applications. Main characteristics, advantages and drawbacks of these methods will be comparatively discussed. Although at an early stage, some approaches for the assessment of the risk to mixtures of bisphenols, mainly based on the combination of chemical target analysis and toxicity evaluation, have been already applied and they will be here presented. Current knowledge gaps hindering a reliable assessment of human and environmental risk to mixtures of bisphenols and derivatives will be outlined.  相似文献

Polymer nanocomposites containing layered silicates have been considered as a new generation of composite materials due to their expected unique properties attributed to the high aspect ratio of the inorganic platelets. Nevertheless, addition of layered silicates to polyolefins mostly results in phase separated systems because of the incompatibility of the silicates with the non-polar polyolefins. Functional compatibilizers are required to enhance the interactions and alter the structure from phase separated micro-composites to intercalated and exfoliated nanocomposites. Commercial macromolecular compatibilizers (mainly maleic-anhydride-functionalized polyolefins) are most commonly used to improve the interfacial bonding between the fillers and the polymers whereas specifically synthesized functional homopolymers or copolymers have been utilized as well. In this article, we are reviewing a number of investigations, which studied the influence on the composite structure of various parameters like the compatilizer to inorganic ratio, the type and content of the functional groups and the molecular weight of the functional additive, the miscibility between the matrix polymer and the compatibilizer, the kind of surfactants modifying the inorganic surface, the processing conditions, etc. The most important results obtained utilizing maleic-anhydride-functionalized polyolefins are discussed first, whereas a summary is presented then of the studies performed utilizing other functional oligomers/polymers. X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy studies supported by rheology indicate that the most important factor controlling the structure and the properties is the ratio of functional additive to organoclay whereas the miscibility between the matrix polymer and the compatibilizer is a prerequisite.  相似文献

This paper presents a study of an important improvement in an already installed monochrome vision system for detection of defects during coated board manufacture. This improvement allows the inspection system to detect targeted defect in subsampling conditions (i.e. Nyquist theorem is not satisfied). This improvement is accomplished entirely in the image processing software without the need for additional changes in the vision hardware. Processing software is optimized for SIMD instruction set requiring no improvement in the processing hardware. Results obtained by the use of this improved algorithm provide real time detection of the targeted defect that in turns enables elimination of the waist coated board.  相似文献

The recent discovery of spin-orbit torques (SOTs) within magnetic single-layers has attracted attention. However, it remains elusive as to how to understand and how to tune the SOTs. Here, utilizing the single layers of chemically disordered FexPt1-x, the mechanism of the “unexpected” bulk SOTs is unveiled by studying their dependence on the introduction of a controlled vertical composition gradient and temperature. The bulk dampinglike SOT is found to arise from an imbalanced internal spin current that is transversely polarized and independent of the magnetization orientation. The torque can be strong only in the presence of a vertical composition gradient. The SOT efficiency per electric field is insensitive to temperature but changes sign upon reversal of the orientation of the composition gradient, which is analog to the strain behaviors. These characteristics suggest that the imbalanced internal spin current originates from a bulk spin Hall effect and that the associated inversion asymmetry that allows for a non-zero net torque is most likely a strain non-uniformity induced by the composition gradient. The fieldlike SOT is a relatively small bulk effect compared to the dampinglike SOT. This study points to the possibility of developing low-power single-layer SOT devices by strain engineering.  相似文献

We present a new construction of Radon curves which only uses convexity methods. In other words, it does not rely on an auxiliary Euclidean background metric (as in the classical works of J. Radon, W. Blaschke, G. Birkhoff, and M. M. Day), and also it does not use typical methods from plane Minkowski Geometry (as proposed by H. Martini and K. J. Swanepoel). We also discuss some properties of normed planes whose unit circle is a Radon curve and give characterizations of Radon curves only in terms of Convex Geometry.  相似文献
