This correspondence presents a design of 3780-point IFFT processor for TDS-OFDM terrestrial DTV transmitter using FPGA. It demonstrates the algorithm design and error analysis of the processor, which can achieve a throughput of 7.56M complex IFFT operations per second. This design meets the signal-to-quantization noise ratio requirement of the TDS-OFDM system. It consists of two FPGA and one dual-port RAM. The data stream pipeline algorithm is implemented  相似文献

A novel and systematic method is presented for the complete determination of dyadic spectral Green's functions directly from Maxwell's equations. With the use of generalized scalarizations developed in this paper, four general and concise expressions for the spectral Green's functions for one-dimensionally inhomogeneous multilayer structures, excited by three-dimensional electric and magnetic current sources, are given in terms of modal amplitudes together with appropriate explicit singular terms at the source region. It is shown that Maxwell's equations in spectral-domain can be reduced, by using dyadic spectral eigenfunctions, to two sets of z-dependent inhomogeneous transmission-line equations for the modal amplitudes. One set of the transmission-line equations are due to the transverse current sources and the other set due to the vertical current sources. Utilizing these equations, network schematizations of the excitation, transmission and reflection processes of three-dimensional electromagnetic waves in one-dimensionally inhomogeneous multilayer structures are achieved in a full-wave manner. The determination of the spectral Green's functions becomes so simple that it is accomplished by the investigation of voltages and currents on the derived equivalent circuits. This paper presents an exploratory case study of the investment banking arm of a multinational banking corporation (Invebank) and its attempt to introduce component-based development (CBD). Based on a logic of opposition and utilizing literature on organizational culture and metaphors as an analytical device, issues confronting Invebank in CBD adoption are identified. In particular, problems in CBD implementation were encountered because, while CBD requires extensive knowledge sharing and collaboration, subcultural differences in Invebank meant that this proved difficult to enact. Thus, the paper considers the complexities of subcultural differences in firms and provides a salutary reminder that the implementation of corporate-wide integrative "solutions" such as CBD, may be problematic. Further, there is more to the issue of organizational subcultural differences than the oft-cited business-information technology (IT) divide. Nevertheless, the case demonstrates that subcultural differences should not simply be viewed as a threat. Rather, the recognition and discussion of these differences can provide a stimulus for identifying limitations of the policies surrounding technology implementation and use that if changed could help to maximize the benefits of the technology. Simplistic entreaties to knowledge sharing and the nurture of collaboration and consensus are, thus, brought into question. Implications for further research into the implementation of integrative software solutions like CBD in multifunctional and multifarious organizations are also considered.  相似文献

The study of Wiener-Levinson digital filters leads to certain classes of polynomials orthogonal on the unit circle (Szeg polynomials). Here we present theorems that show that the unknown frequencies in a periodic discrete time signal can be determined from the limiting behavior (as N → ∞) of the zeros of fixed degree Szeg polynomials that are orthogonal with respect to a distribution defined from N successive samples of the signal. This proves an essential part of a conjecture due to Jones, Njåstad, and Saff concerning the frequency analysis problem.  相似文献

In this paper, a projection method is presented for solving the flow problems in domains with moving boundaries. In order to track the movement of the domain boundaries, arbitrary‐Lagrangian–Eulerian (ALE) co‐ordinates are used. The unsteady incompressible Navier–Stokes equations on the ALE co‐ordinates are solved by using a projection method developed in this paper. This projection method is based on the Bell's Godunov‐projection method. However, substantial changes are made so that this algorithm is capable of solving the ALE form of incompressible Navier–Stokes equations. Multi‐block structured grids are used to discretize the flow domains. The grid velocity is not explicitly computed; instead the volume change is used to account for the effect of grid movement. A new method is also proposed to compute the freestream capturing metrics so that the geometric conservation law (GCL) can be satisfied exactly in this algorithm. This projection method is also parallelized so that the state of the art high performance computers can be used to match the computation cost associated with the moving grid calculations. The interplay between inertia and elasticity is examined for transient free‐surface flow inside a narrow channel. The lubrication theory is extended for the flow of viscoelastic fluids of the Oldroyd‐B type (consisting of a Newtonian solvent and a polymeric solute). While the general formulation accounts for non‐linearities stemming from inertia effects in the momentum conservation equation, and the upper‐convected terms in the constitutive equation, only the front movement contributes to non‐linear coupling for a flow inside a straight channel. In this case, it is possible to implement a spectral representation in the depthwise direction for the velocity and stress. The evolution of the flow field is obtained locally, but the front movement is captured only in the mean sense. The influence of inertia, elasticity and viscosity ratio is examined for pressure‐induced flow. The front appears to progress monotonically with time. However, the velocity and stress exhibit typically a strong overshoot upon inception, accompanied by a plug‐flow behaviour in the channel core. The flow intensity eventually diminishes with time, tending asymptotically to Poiseuille conditions. For highly elastic liquids the front movement becomes oscillatory, experiencing strong deceleration periodically. A multiple‐scale solution is obtained for fluids with no inertia and small elasticity. Comparison with the exact (numerical) solution indicates a wide range of validity for the analytical result. The optimal corona-poling temperature of polymer films was accurately determined by measuring the temperature dependence of the in situ second-harmonic (SH) intensity profile under the applied poling electric field. The in situ SH intensity profile was first measured by probing both the surface voltages and the poling currents induced by surface/space charges for the corona-poled polymer films. Moreover, charge effects on the stability of the chromophore orientation were first studied by using the thermally stimulated discharge-current technique. A bound for a Minkowski metric based on Lp distortion measure is proposed and evaluated as a means to reduce the computation in vector quantisation. This bound provides a better criterion than the absolute error inequality (AEI) elimination rule on the Euclidean distortion measure. For the Minkowski metric of order n, this bound contributes the elimination criterion from the L1 metric to L n metric. This bound can also be an extended quadratic metric which can be a hidden Markov model (HMM) with a Gaussian mixture probability density function (PDF). In speech recognition, the HMM with the Gaussian mixture VQ codebook PDF has been shown to be a promising method  相似文献
