The use of pyridinium‐activated primary amines as photoactive functional groups for deaminative generation of alkyl radicals under catalyst‐free conditions is described. By taking advantage of the visible light absorptivity of electron donor–acceptor complexes between Katritzky pyridinium salts and either Hantzsch ester or Et3N, photoinduced single‐electron transfer could be initiated in the absence of a photocatalyst. This general reactivity platform has been applied to deaminative alkylation (Giese), allylation, vinylation, alkynylation, thioetherification, and hydrodeamination reactions. The mild conditions are amenable to a diverse range of primary and secondary alkyl pyridiniums and demonstrate broad functional group tolerance.  相似文献

The current study provides a way of extraction for both active NSO and WSE from Nigella sativa seeds using 98% methanol. About 1?kg of ground seeds was macerated by 1:2.5 w/v (g/mL) for 72?hours. After rotary evaporation and 7 days of continuous drying and chilling at 50 and 4?°C, NSO and WSE were obtained at the same instant. Solubility tests of 24 solvents and 11 thin layer chromatographic analyses while 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl free radical scavenging assay of NSO (73.66) , WSE (33.32) and NSO?+?WSE (78.22) against ascorbic acid (IC50?=?4.28?mg/mL) was performed. WSE was found to be highly soluble in water and 5% NaOH exhibiting the same Rf value of 0.95 for EtOH:DMSO (9:1) against the honey. WSE has revealed more than twofold higher anti-oxidant activity than others. Formulation of WSE with Tualang honey may provide better targeted hydrophilic drug delivery systems.  相似文献

Highly functionalized pyrroles with appropriate regiochemical functionality represent an important class of marine natural products and potential drug candidates. We describe herein a detailed study of the reaction of α-aminoacid esters with vinylogous amides and also β-halovinylaldehydes for the regiospecific synthesis of 2,3,4-trisubstituted and 1,2,3,4-tetrasubstituted pyrroles. Since the vinylogous amides and β-halovinylaldehydes are readily available precursors, rapid access to a wide variety of unsymmetrically substituted pyrroles is accomplished via this methodology.  相似文献

A continuous space/time approximation of the well known ‘directed polymer’ problem is considered. Connection between the ‘Helmholtz Free Energy’ and the ‘Two Walker problem’ is shown. Rigorous proof of the superdiffusive mean squared displacement exponent of 4/3 is given when there is one space dimension and one time dimension. Asymptotically diffusive behaviour of c(k)tis shown when there are one ‘time’ and two ‘space’ dimensions. For higher dimensions, the behaviour is diffusive and the mean squared displacement is asymptotically t d. These results hold for all temperature, because the phase transition in the discrete model is no longer present in the continuous model; the renormalization procedure has set the transition temperature to k crit =0The joint distribution is also shown to be asymptotically sub-Gaussian for all dimensions and all temperatures (in the sense that the p thmoments as a function of pincrease more slowly than the moments of a Gaussian distribution). The ‘Helmholtz Free Energy’ is also calculated for this model and the quenched and annealed free energies are shown to be identical for all temperature  相似文献

In this article, we will describe the results of a study of 6th grade students learning about the mathematics of change. The students in this study worked with software environments for the computer and the graphing calculator that included a simulation of a moving elevator, linked to a graph of its velocity vs. time. We will describe how the students and their teacher negotiated the mathematical meanings of these representations, in interaction with the software and other representational tools available in the classroom. The class developed ways of selectively attending to specific features of stacks of centimeter cubes, hand-drawn graphs, and graphs (labeled velocity vs. time) on the computer screen. In addition, the class became adept at imagining the motions that corresponded to various velocity vs. time graphs. In this article, we describe this development as a process of learning to see mathematical representations of motion. The main question this article addresses is: How do students learn to see mathematical representations in ways that are consistent with the discipline of mathematics? The literature pertaining to facilitated transport and liquid membrane separations is reviewed and summarized, especially work reported since 1977. Liquid membranes of all geometries are discussed, including immobilized liquid membranes and liquid surfactant or emulsion liquid membranes. Emphasis is placed on facilitated, or carrier-mediated transport in both configurations although other mechanisms such as coupled-transport and transport due to solubility differences are discussed. Mathematical modeling and analytical solutions for facilitated transport models are summarized. The possibility of industrial application of liquid membrane technology is mentioned and the most important experimental techniques for liquid membrane research are discussed. A mathematical model is presented which solves the dimensionless, transient, non-linear partial differential equations governing the competitive facilitated transport of two gases through a liquid membrane. The model incorporates the mass transfer coefficients in the boundary conditions for the free gas concentrations. Several studies were carried out. A comparison of this model with a steady-state “equilibrium core” model was excellent. Through varying the dimensionless parameters, it was found that gas I would have a higher steady-state facilitation factor than gas 2 if k1 >k2 and k-1k-2. The boundary conditions and mass transfer coefficients were also varied to see their effects on the facilitation factors. The idea of pumping one of the gases against its concentration gradient was shown to be theoretically possible.  相似文献
