It has a maximum luminance of 10 000 cd/m2 and current efficiency of 15.25 cd/A, respectively, and CIE coordinates are at (0.329, 0.319). Raman spectroscopic investigation on weak scatterers such as metals is a challenging scientific problem. Technologically important actinide metals such as uranium and plutonium have not been investigated using Raman spectroscopy possibly due to poor signal intensities. We report the first Raman spectrum of uranium metal using a surface‐enhanced Raman scattering‐like geometry where a thin gold overlayer is deposited on uranium. Raman spectra are detected from the pits and scratches on the sample and not from the smooth polished surface. The 514.5‐ and 785‐nm laser excitations resulted in the Raman spectra of uranium metal whereas 325‐nm excitation did not give rise to such spectra. Temperature dependence of the B3g mode at 126 cm−1 is also investigated. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Heterocyclic systems are now considered to be an integral part of material chemistry. Thiophene, selenophene, furan, pyrrole, carbazole, triazine and others are some such examples worth mentioning. 2,4,6-Tri(thiophen-2-yl)-1,3,5-triazine is a C3h-symmetric system with thiophene as the donor unit and s-triazine as the acceptor unit. This review gives an insight into the advances made in the thienyl-triazine chemistry over the past two to three decades. The synthetic pathways for arriving at this system and all its important derivatives are provided. The major focus is on the materials synthesized using the thienyl-triazine system, including star molecules, linear and hyperbranched polymers, porous materials and their diverse applications. This review will play a catalytic role for new dimensions to be explored in thienyl-triazine chemistry.  相似文献

Reversing the conventional site-selectivity of C−H activation provides efficient retrosynthetic disconnections to otherwise unreactive bonds. Described herein is the Brønsted acid-catalyzed reaction that selectively performs meta-amination of anisidines with aliphatic-, heterocyclic- and aromatic amines in a one-pot procedure. In addition to dramatically simplifying the synthesis of meta-substituted anilines, our approach has the advantage of the scalability and remarkable functional group tolerance, including late-stage functionalization of pharmaceutical compounds and natural products. The control experiments and detailed computational analysis provide insight into the reaction mechanism and the origin of meta-selectivity. The protocol extended to the synthesis of challenging tri-aminated arenes and successfully applied for the efficient synthesis of 5-HT6 receptor antagonists, the anti-psychotic drugs viz.. SB-214111, SB-258510, and specifically, anti-schizophrenic drug SB-271046.  相似文献

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) plays an essential role in consumer electronics, remote monitoring, an electromagnetic signal, and so forth. The functional capacity of WSN gets enhanced everyday with different technologies. The rapid development of wireless communication, as well as digital electronics, provides automatic sensor networks with low cost and power in various functions, but the challenge faced in WSN is to forward a huge amount of data between the nodes, which is a highly complex task to provide superior delay and energy loss. To overcome these issues, the development of a routing protocol is used for the optimal selection of multipath to perform efficient routing in WSN. This paper developed an energy-efficient routing in WSNs utilizing the hybrid meta-heuristic algorithm with the help of Hybrid African Vultures-Cuckoo Search Optimization (HAV-CSO). Here, the designed method is utilized for choosing the optimal cluster heads for progressing the routing. The developed HAV-CSO method is used to enhance the network lifetime in WSN. Hence, the hybrid algorithm also helps select the cluster heads by solving the multi-objective function in terms of distance, intra-cluster distance, delay, inter-cluster distance, throughput, path loss, energy, transmission load, temperature, and fault tolerance. The developed model achieved 7.8% higher than C-SSA, 25.45% better than BSO-MTLBO, 23.21% enhanced than AVOA, and 1.29% improved than CSO. The performance of the suggested model is validated, and the efficacy of the developed work is proved over other existing works.  相似文献

The silica–silver core–shell particles were synthesized by simple one pot chemical method and were employed on the cotton fabric as an antibacterial agent. Extremely small (1–2 nm) silver nanoparticles were attached on silica core particles of average 270 nm size. The optimum density of the nano silver particles was found which was sufficient to show good antibacterial activity as well as the suppression in their surface plasmon resonance responsible for the colour of the core–shell particle for antibacterial textile application. The change in the density and size of the particles in the shell were monitored and confirmed by direct evidence of their transmission electron micrographs and by studying surface plasmon resonance characteristics. The colony counting method of antibacterial activity testing showed excellent results and even the least silver containing core–shell particles showed 100% activity against bacterial concentration of 104 colony counting units (cfu). The bonding between core–shell particles and cotton fabric was examined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The antibacterial activity test confirmed the firm attachment of core–shell particles to the cotton fabric as a result 10 times washed sample was as good antibacterial as that of unwashed sample. The bacterial growth was inhibited on and beneath the coated fabric, at the same time no zone of inhibition which occurs due to the migration of silver ions into the medium was observed indicating immobilization of silver nanoparticles on silica and core–shell particles on fabric by strong bonding.  相似文献

A few defect characteristics which are typical of gel-grown mixed single crystals of SrCa tartrates (Sr1−XCaxC4H4O6 · 4H2O) having different concentration, x, of the cations have been described. The temperature of decomposition has been found to be related, to some extent, to dislocation concentration. The magnitude of configurational entropy, which is a manifestation of lattice disorder, has been computed. The Vickers microhardness and dislocation density of crystals have been found to bear good correlation. An empirical formula has been suggested to explain the observed variation in microhardness with the concentration of ions in the mixed lattice.  相似文献

Single crystals of Sr1−xCaxC4H4O6 · 4 H2O of different compositions and forms were grown by controlled diffusion of ions through suitable silica gels and characterized. Pycnometer density, lattice parameter, dislocation density, dissolution, cleavage, etc. are some of the interesting features which distinguish mixed crystals from the pure ones.  相似文献
