Structure of ammonium salts of 2-oxy-1,4-butylene-and 2-oxy-1,5-amylenephosphoric acids

The structures of dioxaphosphepane (I) and dioxaphosphecane (II) salts prepared by hydrolysis of the corresponding bicyclophosphates have been compared. In both cases, hydrolysis occurs with breaking of the P–O bond of the fragment at the secondary carbon atom of bicyclophosphate. In phosphocycles I and II, the endocyclic bond angles O–P–O are 104.2 and 104.9°, and the exocyclic ones are 117.7 and 118.6°, respectively. Conformations of the anions in I and II differ substantially: for I it is a twist conformation^C1T_C4, and for II a distorted armchair. Method and apparatus for vacuum-thermic extraction (VTE) of toxic and essential elements from soils in oxidation-reduction medium in connection with analytical applications — I

A method is presented for simultaneous separation of traces of toxic and essential elements from soils. The method is based on programmed vacuum-thermic extraction of the elements in an oxidation-reduction medium. Under optimal conditions of temperature and pressure Pb, Zn, Cd, Bi, Tl, As, Sb, Te, Mo, Hg and Re are distilled or sublimated in elementary state or as oxides. A simple quartz apparatus is proposed. The elements extracted from matrix are dissolved in nitric acid and determined by AAS or OES with ICP excitation.     

Synthesis of 1,7-bis(4′-aminophenylamido)-m-carborane and 1,7-bis(4′-aminophenylcarboxy)-m-carborane

Condensed imidazo-1,2,4-azines. 12. Synthesis and structure of substituted 5-H-imidazo[1,2-b]-1,2,4-triazepin-4-ones (-thiones)

The synthesis has been effected of new representatives of the imidazo[1,2-b]-1,2,4-triazepin-4-ones (-thiones). Photoreduction de la benzophenone par des phtalimidines et des dihydro isoquinolones: Etude chimique par RMN PNIC

Benzophenone is photoreduced by pthalimidines and dihydro isoquinolones. The hydrogen atom α to the nitrogen atom is abstracted and radical coupling leads to adducts. CIDNP studies of these adducts show inversion of polarisation for the adduct on the N-alkyl chain when the nitrogen is bound to a benzylic methylene. This inversion is explained by considering that the radical on the N-alkyl chain derives from the radical on the ring.     

Catalytic hydroamination of furfuryl and tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohols with nitriles

Reaction of furfuryl and tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohols with nitriles over copper oxide catalysts under a hydrogen pressure of 15 atm at a temperature of 230C gives N-alkylfurfuryl- (yield 46–50%) and N-alkyl-tetrahydrofurfurylamines (49–53%), and N-alkylpiperidines (28–41%).
