An HDMI Cable Equalizer With Self-Generated Energy Ratio Adaptation Scheme

This brief presents an adaptive equalizer for high-definition-multimedia-interface (HDMI) systems with a new adaptation scheme by comparing the energy ratio in high-frequency and low-frequency bands of the equalized signal with a self-generated energy ratio. The self-generated energy ratio tracks process, voltage, and temperature variations to overcome the problem with preset energy ratio adaptation. Fabricated in 0.5- mum SiGe BiCMOS technology, the adaptive equalizer occupies 0.25 mm² and consumes 108 mW from 3.3-V voltage supply at 2.25-Gb/s data rate. Measurement results show that it can automatically adapt to up to 10-m HDMI cables, achieving 0.1-UI peak-to-peak jitter in equalized signals.

On the Fukaya categories of higher genus surfaces

We construct the Fukaya category of a closed surface equipped with an area form using only elementary (essentially combinatorial) methods. We also compute the Grothendieck group of its derived category.     

An algorithm for achieving proportional delay differentiation

We consider the implementation of the proportional delay differentiation model with adaptive waiting time priority scheduler and we address the problem of finding the appropriate scheduler differentiation parameters that achieve this model. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that can compute an analytical solution of this problem.     

Crystal structure and in vitro antitumour activity of dibutylbis(5-chloro-2-hydroxybenzoato)tin(IV)

The crystal structure of the title compound, [nBu₂Sn(5-Cl-2-OH-C₆H₃CO₂)₂], shows that in the monomeric species the six-coordinate Sn atom exists in a skew trapezoidal bipyramidal geometry in which the four O donor atoms, derived from two asymmetrically chelating carboxylate ligands, define the basal plane and the n-butyl substituents lie over the weaker Sn? O interactions defining a C? Sn? C angle of 147.6(2)°. An unusual feature of the structure is the presence of both intra- and inter-molecular hydrogen bonding contacts which serve to stabilize the structure. The in vitro antitumour activity of this compound against mammary and colon carcinoma cell lines is also reported.     

Loran-C skywave delay detection using ARMA algorithm

The autoregressive moving average technique (ARMA) is applied to the problem of estimating the delay of Loran-C skywaves. The performance of this technique is evaluated and compared with Fourier-based methods. The simulation results show that the ARMA algorithm yields a significantly greater estimation accuracy and that it can also operate successfully with very noisy signals     

Modeling for bridging faults in nMOS combinational circuits

A transistor level model that fully describes the logical behavior of a circuit in the presence of bridging faults is presented for the nMOS combinational circuits. The proposed model is suitable for the circuits having static enhancement/depletion (E/D) load. Thus, the model can be applied to circuits like pseudo nMOS and CMOS non-threshold-logic (NTL). The model employs a logic transistor function (LTF) to examine the behavior of such circuits. The LTF model developed earlier for stuck faults in nMOS circuits is extended for bridging faults. Algorithms that were developed for the stuck faults in pseudo nMOS combinational circuits can be applied to generate the test vectors for bridging faults.     

Stabilization of the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers equation with non-periodic boundary feedbacks

We consider the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers (KdVB) equation on the domain [0,1]. We derive a control law which guaranteesL ²-global exponential stability,H ³-global asymptotic stability, andH ³-semiglobal exponential stability.     

Three Tyrosinase Inhibitors and Antioxidant Compounds from Salsola foetida

Phytochemical investigation on the whole plant of Salsola foetida resulted in the isolation of three new phenolic compounds 1, 2 , and 3 , which exhibit tyrosinase inhibition with moderate antioxidant activity. Compounds 1 – 3 inhibited tyrosinase with IC₅₀ 2.61, 1.85, and 0.40 μM , while exhibiting DPPH radical scavenging activity with IC₅₀ 383, 427 and 378 μM , respectively. The structures of 1, 2 , and 3 were determined by modern spectroscopic techniques.
