Semimagnetic Pb(1-x)Mn(x)Se nanocrystals were synthesized by a fusion method in a glass matrix and characterized by optical absorption (OA), atomic/magnetic force microscopy (AFM/MFM), and photoluminescence techniques. MFM images strongly indicated the formation of Pb(1-x)Mn(x)Se magnetic phases in the glass system. Quantum dot size was manipulated by tuning annealing time. It was shown that Mn(2+) impurity affects nucleation, where Mn(2+)-doped samples present a redshift of the OA peak after a short annealing time and a blueshift after long annealing time compared to undoped PbSe NCs. This behavior was linked to the dependence of band-gap energy and the absorption selection rule on Mn(2+) concentration. Photoluminescence in the Pb(1-x)Mn(x)Se nanocrystals increases as the temperature rises up to a point and then decreases at higher temperatures. Anomalous increases in emission efficiency were analyzed by considering temperature induced carrier-transfer in semimagnetic Pb(1-x)Mn(x)Se quantum dots nanocrystals of different sizes.  相似文献

A glass matrix with nominal composition 50Li2O·45B2O3·5Al2O3 (mol%) was synthesized, and its physical properties were investigated by differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The glass transition temperature T g, the crystallization-onset temperature T x,, the crystallization peak temperatures T c1 and T c2, and the fusion peak temperatures T m1 and T m2 were determined from at least two glass matrix phases to be approximately 382, 457, 486, 574, 761, and 787?°C, respectively, at 5?°C/min heating rate. Heat treatments at 450?°C for an increasing sequence of time intervals allowed control over the amount of crystallization. Additional information on the crystallization kinetics for the LBA glass matrix was gathered from AFM images, DTA thermograms, and XRD diffractograms. The latter technique showed that LiBO2 (ICDD-16568) and Li3AlB2O6 (ICDD-51754) phases are formed in the glass?Cceramic system. Debye?CScherrer analysis of the XRD peaks revealed a competition between the evolutions of crystal phases during heat treatment. Activation energies for crystallization, obtained from theoretical models applied to the DTA data showed that the crystallization is heterogeneous. The AFM images demonstrated that this heterogeneous crystallization starts at the surface of the LBA glass matrix and identified crystal sizes in agreement with the results of the Debye?CScherrer analysis. Our study shows that thermal and structural characterization techniques can be combined with theoretical results drawn from well-tested models to offer a unified view of crystallization in a glass?Cceramics system.  相似文献

This study aims at analyzing the reaction mechanism of the electrooxidation of glycerol at copper surfaces in NaOH solutions using Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (SECM) in the substrate generation/tip collection (SG/TC) mode. Experiments showed the dependence of the current at the tip on the distance between generator and tip, as well as on the concentration of the NaOH solution. The current at the tip decreased significantly after addition of glycerol, as a result of the competition between diffusion of the free‐soluble Cu(III) species and its consumption during the diffusion in the solution. The determination of the analyte in a castor biodiesel sample employing a single copper microelectrode was carried out.  相似文献

Electrochemical stripping techniques are interesting candidates for carrying out onsite speciation of environmentally relevant trace metals due to the existing low-cost portable instrumentation available and the low detection limits that can be achieved. In this work, we describe the initial analytical technique method development by quantifying the total metal concentrations using Stripping Chronopotentiometry (SCP). Carbon paste screen-printed electrodes were modified with thin films of mercury and used to quantify sub-nanomolar concentrations of lead and cadmium and sub-micromolar concentrations of zinc in river water. Low detection limits of 0.06 nM for Pb(II) and 0.04 nM for Cd(II) were obtained by the standard addition method using a SCP deposition time of 180 s. The SCP results obtained for Pb(II) and Cd(II) agreed with those of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The coupling of SCP with screen-printed electrodes opens up excellent potential for the development of onsite speciation of trace metals. Due to the low analysis throughput obtained for the standard addition method, we also propose a new, more rapid screening Cd(II) internal standard methodology to significantly increase the number of samples that can be analyzed per day.  相似文献

The investigation of the evolution of the photoluminescence spectra, in single asymmetric quantum wells (SAQWs), from a typical emission spectrum to a Fermi-edge singularity, is carried out as a function of both the optical excitation intensity and the temperature. The three samples used here are n-doped, low carrier density (below 5×1011 cm−2), GaAs/Al0.35Ga0.65As SAQWs grown by molecular beam epitaxy. The strong collective recombination of electrons with different k states up to the Fermi wave vector as well as the optical signature of the Fermi-edge singularity is observed in two samples containing residual acceptors inside the GaAs SAQW. In contrast, a third sample containing no experimental evidence of residual acceptors in the GaAs SAQW shows no optical signature of the Fermi-edge singularity.  相似文献

The present study deals with energy transfer in a dissipative mechanical system. Numerical results are given by considering two different potentials and periodical excitation. Specifically, we show energy transfer from linear oscillator to another one, depending on initial conditions. Also, energy transfer from linear to nonlinear (energy pumping), as well as from nonlinear to linear, oscillator is analyzed, under linear and nonlinear interactions.  相似文献

This work aims to analyse the so‐called configurational entropy in the Weyl pure geometrical thick brane model. The Weyl structure plays a prominent role in the brane thickness of this model. We find a set of parameters associated to the brane width where the configurational entropy exhibits critical points. The information‐theoretical measure sets bounds into parameter of Weyl pure geometrical brane model. In addition, we also argue that a similar approach can be useful to analyze the corrections to Newtonian and Coulombian potentials in Weyl scenarios.  相似文献

Spondias mombin L. (Anacardiaceae) has a worldwide distribution and is present in all regions of Brazil. Its leaves, flowers and bark are used as teas in folk medicine to treat diseases of the digestive system. This study aimed to evaluate the acute non-clinical toxicity, gastroprotective activity, and the related mechanisms of action of nebulized extract and tablets based on dried Spondias mombin (SmNE). SmNE screening showed the presence of flavonoids (0.65%), polyphenols (25.50%), where the major compound is gallic acid. In the acute oral toxicity assay, a dose of 2000 mg/kg of SmNE administered orally in Swiss mice did not induce any behavioral changes. SmNE (250 or 500 mg/kg p.o) significantly reduced the ulcerative lesion area when compared to the control group in ethanol and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs) models. Results showed that treatment with SmNE (250 mg/kg) reduced acid secretion and gastric content, accompanied with an increase in pH. Previous administration of indomethacin and glibenclamide reversed the protection provided by SmNE, confirming the participation of prostaglandins (PGs) and ATP-sensitive potassium channels (KATP) in its gastroprotective effect. The SmNE tablets met the pharmacopeial quality requirements with gastroprotective activity and similar protection in comparison to the isolated extract administrated. In conclusion, SmNe has a gastroprotective activity related to cytoprotective mechanisms, such as the participation of endogenous prostaglandins and KATP channels, having an anti-secretory effect with systemic action. The formulation obtained presented gastroprotective effects similar to the administration of the extract, the tablets showed favorable compression characteristics by the direct route and met the pharmacopeial quality requirements.  相似文献

Pests and diseases are responsible for most of the losses related to agricultural crops, either in the field or in storage. Moreover, due to indiscriminate use of synthetic pesticides over the years, several issues have come along, such as pest resistance and contamination of important planet sources, such as water, air and soil. Therefore, in order to improve efficiency of crop production and reduce food crisis in a sustainable manner, while preserving consumer’s health, plant-derived pesticides may be a green alternative to synthetic ones. They are cheap, biodegradable, ecofriendly and act by several mechanisms of action in a more specific way, suggesting that they are less of a hazard to humans and the environment. Natural plant products with bioactivity toward insects include several classes of molecules, for example: terpenes, flavonoids, alkaloids, polyphenols, cyanogenic glucosides, quinones, amides, aldehydes, thiophenes, amino acids, saccharides and polyketides (which is not an exhaustive list of insecticidal substances). In general, those compounds have important ecological activities in nature, such as: antifeedant, attractant, nematicide, fungicide, repellent, insecticide, insect growth regulator and allelopathic agents, acting as a promising source for novel pest control agents or biopesticides. However, several factors appear to limit their commercialization. In this critical review, a compilation of plant-derived metabolites, along with their corresponding toxicology and mechanisms of action, will be approached, as well as the different strategies developed in order to meet the required commercial standards through more efficient methods.  相似文献

The quantum evolution equation of Loop Quantum Cosmology (LQC)—the quantum Hamiltonian constraint—is a difference equation. We relate the LQC constraint equation in vacuum Bianchi I separable (locally rotationally symmetric) models with an integrable differential-difference nonlinear Schrödinger type equation, which in turn is known to be associated with integrable, discrete Heisenberg spin chain models in condensed matter physics. We illustrate the similarity between both systems with a simple constraint in the linear regime.  相似文献
