Plant species Satureja kitaibelii Wierzb. ex Heuff. is used as a spice and as a natural preservative for food and herbal tea, owing to its characteristic scent and flavor as well as high antimicrobial activity. In the present study, the antimicrobial activity of isolated essential oil of S. kitaibelii was tested against a panel of 30 pathogenic microorganisms (foodborne microbes, selected multiresistant bacterial isolates from the patient wounds and dermatophyte isolates). Limonene (15.54%), p-cymene (9.99%), and borneol (8.91%) appeared as the main components in 44 identified compounds representing 98.44% of the oil. Essential oil of S. kitaibelii showed significant activity against a wide spectrum of foodborne microbes (MIC=0.18-25.5 microg mL(-1)) and multiresistant bacterial isolates (MIC=6.25-50.0 microg mL(-1)), as well as against dermatophyte strains (MIC=12.5-50.0 microg mL(-1)). These results demonstrate that S. kitaibelii essential oil could be used as a natural potential antimicrobial agent against pathogenic strains in the treatment of foodborne disease, wound and skin infections.  相似文献

We give a construction that connects the Cauchy problem for the 2-dimensional elliptic Liouville equation with a certain initial value problem for mean curvature one surfaces in hyperbolic 3-space H3, and solve both of them. We construct the unique mean curvature one surface in H3 that passes through a given curve with a given unit normal along it, and provide diverse applications. In particular, topics such as period problems, symmetries, finite total curvature, planar geodesics, rigidity, etc. are treated for these surfaces.  相似文献

A general expression for the binding energy of finite nuclei in the Jastrow-Factor-Cluster method is developed upto the three-body cluster term with centre of mass correction. It is applied in massA=3 and 4 with the standard Chakkalakal function and the average Pauli condition. Compared to the previous work of Afnan (1969) better saturation properties are obtained for two- and three-body truncation. Convergence is also better.  相似文献

Multi-residue analytical methodologies are becoming the preferred and required tools against single group analysis, as they provide wider knowledge about the occurrence of pharmaceuticals in the environment necessary for further study of their removal, partition and ultimate fate. However, simultaneous analysis of compounds from different groups with quite different physico-chemical characteristics requires a compromise in the selection of experimental conditions, which in some cases are not the best conditions for all the analytes studied. In this article, an overview of analytical methodologies focusing on the simultaneous determination of acidic, neutral and basic compounds belonging to different therapeutical classes is presented. The state-of-the-art of LC-MS/MS for multi-class analysis is reviewed, highlighting the specific requirements for such analysis.  相似文献
