We report the synthesis, structure and magnetic properties of the first molecular cluster and single-molecule magnet to incorporate [Ru(III)(CN)(6)](3-). Frequency-domain Fourier-transform THz-EPR (FDFT THz-EPR) and magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate strongly anisotropic Mn-Ru exchange interactions.  相似文献

A quantification method was developed for the determination of dioctyl sulfosuccinate sodium salt (DOSS) in avian egg samples based on a QuEChERS extraction technique followed by UPLC-MS/MS analysis. DOSS is an anionic surfactant that is part of the Corexit® 9500 dispersive mixture that prevents the formation of oil slicks on water bodies. It was extensively used when the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded and a large amount of crude oil was released into the Gulf of Mexico. QuEChERS provided a simple, effective and time saving sample preparation method prior to analysis without reducing analytical sensitivity and became an excellent substitute to lengthy traditional extraction methods. Weak anionic exchange cleanup significantly reduced matrix effects and improved analyte sensitivity. Ultra-performance liquid chromatography provided an effective separation method, while MS/MS provided the necessary selectivity and increased sensitivity. Our method achieved baseline separation of DOSS, surrogate (sodium octyl sulfate – d17) and the internal standard (sodium dioctyl sulfate – d25), with limits of detection (LOD) and limits of quantitation (LOQ) for DOSS being 260 and 500 pg/mL, respectively. Quality control recoveries were 70.5 ± 7.3% (mean ± standard deviation, n = 3) for the laboratory control sample and 72.4 ± 4.9% (n = 3) for the matrix spike. The extraction efficiency was monitored by adding surrogate compound to every sample with recoveries of 104.6 ± 14.1 for SDS-d1 and 81.8 ± 6.8 for SOS-d17. Currently, limited peer reviewed scientific data are reported on the effects of oil dispersants on the environment. Our analytical method for the determination of DOSS in avian egg matrix can be used to provide reliable data on the fate and effects of DOSS in biological systems.  相似文献

Ochratoxin A (OTA) is a mycotoxin produced by filamentous fungi of the genus Aspergillus and Penicillium that presents carcinogenic, teratogenic and nephrotoxic properties. In this work, we have developed, characterized and applied an immunoassay methodology comprised of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) as platform for immobilizing bioactive materials incorporated into a microfluidic system for rapid and sensitive quantification of Ochratoxin A (OTA) in apples (Red Delicious) contaminated with Aspergillus ochraceus. The sensor has the potential for automation and the detection of OTA was carried out using a competitive indirect immunoassay method based on the use of anti-OTA monoclonal antibodies immobilized on 3-aminopropyl-modified MNPs. The total assay time into the microfluidic competitive immunosensor was 16 min, and the calculated detection limit was 0.05 μg kg(-1). Moreover, the intra- and inter-assay coefficients of variation were below 6.5%. The proposed method can be a very promising analytical tool for the determination of OTA in apparently healthy fruits post-harvest and for its application in the agricultural industry.  相似文献

The 275GHz electron-paramagnetic-resonance spectrometer we reported on in 2004 has been equipped with a new probe head, which contains a cavity especially designed for operation in continuous-wave mode. The sensitivity and signal stability that is achieved with this new probe head is illustrated with 275GHz continuous-wave spectra of a 1mM frozen solution of the complex Fe(III)-ethylenediamine tetra-acetic acid and of 10mM frozen solutions of the protein rubredoxin, which contains Fe(3+) in its active site, from three different organisms. The high quality of the spectra of the rubredoxins allows the determination of the zero-field-splitting parameters with an accuracy of 0.5GHz. The success of our approach results partially from the enhanced absolute sensitivity, which can be reached using a single-mode cavity. At least as important is the signal stability that we were able to achieve with the new probe head.  相似文献

Preferential attachment networks with power law exponent \(\tau >3\) are known to exhibit a phase transition. There is a value \(\rho _{\mathrm{c}}>0\) such that, for small edge densities \(\rho \le \rho _{\mathrm{c}}\) every component of the graph comprises an asymptotically vanishing proportion of vertices, while for large edge densities \(\rho >\rho _{\mathrm{c}}\) there is a unique giant component comprising an asymptotically positive proportion of vertices. In this paper we study the decay in the size of the giant component as the critical edge density is approached from above. We show that the size decays very rapidly, like \(\exp (-c/ \sqrt{\rho -\rho _{\mathrm{c}}})\) for an explicit constant \(c>0\) depending on the model implementation. This result is in contrast to the behaviour of the class of rank-one models of scale-free networks, including the configuration model, where the decay is polynomial. Our proofs rely on the local neighbourhood approximations of Dereich and Mörters (Ann Probab 41(1):329–384, 2013) and recent progress in the theory of branching random walks (Gantert et al. in Ann Inst Henri Poincaré Probab Stat 47(1):111–129, 2011).  相似文献

Water soluble graft polymers prepared by copolymerization of either methacrylic acid (MAA) or vinylsulfonic acid (VS) with α‐methoxy‐ω‐methacroyl‐oligo(oxyethylene)s (PEOn‐MA) serve to control nucleation and crystal growth during precipitation of inorganic crystals from aqueous media. Precipitation of zinc oxide crystals (‘zincite’) is used as example for such mineralization processes. Homogeneous and narrow crystal size distributions are obtained in presence of ppm‐amounts of graft copolymers. Copolymer is incorporated into the crystals demonstrated by using latex particles with ‐CO2H‐group rich surfaces as controlling additives. Incorporation of these particles leads to single crystals with pores of the size of the particles (‘Swiss cheese’ morphologies).  相似文献
