A 6H-SiC thyristor has been fabricated and characterized. A forward breakover voltage close to 100 V and a pulse switched current density of 5200 A/cm2 have been demonstrated. The thyristor is shown to operate under pulse gate triggering for turn-on and turn-off, with a rise time of 43 ns and a fall time of less than 100 ns. The forward breakover voltage is found to decrease by only 4% when the operating temperature is increased from room temperature to 300°C. The effects of the organometallic compounds Bu2Sn-D -(?;)sorbitol, Bu2Sn-D -(+)glucose, Bu2Sn-D -(?)fructose and Bu2Sn-D -(+)glyceraldehyde were tested in vivo on different stages of Ascidian development, larval movement and metamorphosis. Organotin(IV) complexes are organometallic compounds widely used as industrial biocides, antifouling agents and agricultural fungicides and are toxic to a range of organisms. Two-cell stage embryos, if incubated for one hour in the organotin (IV) solutions, stopped the cleavage, which was restored when they were transferred into normal sea water. The gastrula stage was seriously affected in 10?4mol dm?3 solutions of the above-mentioned complexes: 85% of the embryos were anomalous neurulae with open neural folds, 5% were twisted larvae. The gastrulae, when incubated for 1 h in 10?5mol dm?3 solutions, developed twisted larvae in ovular envelopes and immobile larvae with twisted tails. Larvae treated with 10?4mol dm?3 and 10?5 mol dm?3 Bu2Sn-D -(?)sorbitol, Bu2Sn-D -(+)glucose and Bu2Sn-D -(+)glyceraldehyde solutions stopped swimming, did not metamorphose and afterwards underwent cytolysis. An initial hyperactivity of circular movements, followed by immobility, was observed in the larvae incubated in Bu2Sn-D -(?;)fructose. 相似文献

Results obtained by using "Analyst", a long-term diffusive sampler, in some monitoring campaigns, performed for the determination of benzene and the volatile aromatic pollutants, in five cities of the Italian Umbria Region and at the city of Forlì, are presented and discussed. Biocatalysis and, to a lesser extent, biorecognition in non-aqueous media (including organic solvents as well as supercritical fluids and gases) constitute at present an exciting research area which has already demonstrated its biotechnological potential in numerous, varied applications. Less attention, however, has been paid to its analytical possibilities, even though many advantages have been postulated and a wide range of poorly water-soluble analytes are present in samples (or waste materials) from food and drink, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, military and other industries. The synthesis and structural properties of Mg1−xMn2+xO4, for 0≤x≤1 are described. Complete miscibility in the solid state exists for this system. For the material with the correct stoichiometry, i.e. MgMn2O4, the effect of temperature on the cation distribution was investigated= above 600°C the inversion degree (m) starts increasing. The electrical conductivity shows a small dependence on P(O2) which is consistent with the small oxygen non-stoichiometry determined by means of thermogravimetry. The main contribution to the transport properties arises from the inversion equilibrium. Two distinct conductivity regimes, below and above the inversion threshold, can be assumed to explain the electrical conductivity and thermoelectric power results. 相似文献

Non-destructive in situ determination of pigments in 15th century wall paintings by Raman microscopy
Raman microscopy has been applied to the study of 15th century wall paintings in a chapel of St. Orso Priory palace (Aosta, Italy) in view of their restoration. The use of a transportable instrument has made it possible to work non-destructively in situ without sampling. The main inorganic pigments used by the unknown artist, namely mercury sulphide, azurite, white lead, red and yellow ochre, carbon black and lead tin yellow type I have been identified, and the presence of organic substances and of some decay products (calcium sulphate and oxalate) has been observed. 相似文献

The surface properties of ferrihydrite were studied by combining wet chemical data, Cd(K) EXAFS data, and a surface structure and protonation model of the ferrihydrite surface. Acid-base titration experiments and Cd(II)-ferrihydrite sorption experiments were performed within 3<-log[H(+)]<10.5 and 0.5<[Cd(t)]<12 mM in 0.3 M NaClO(4) at 25 degrees C, where [Cd(t)] refers to total Cd concentration. Measurements at -5.5triple bond Fe-OH(-1/2),logk((int))=-8.29, assuming the existence of a unique intrinsic microscopic constant, logk((int)), and consequently the existence of a single significant type of acid-base reactive functional groups. The surface structure model indicates that these groups are terminal water groups. The Cd(II) data were modeled assuming the existence of a single reactive site. The model fits the data set at low Cd(II) concentration and up to 50% surface coverage. At high coverage more Cd(II) ions than predicted are adsorbed, which is indicative of the existence of a second type of site of lower affinity. This agrees with the surface structure and protonation model developed, which indicates comparable concentrations of high- and low-affinity sites. The model further shows that for each class of low- and high-affinity sites there exists a variety of corresponding Cd surface complex structure, depending on the model crystal faces on which the complexes develop. Generally, high-affinity surface structures have surface coordinations of 3 and 4, as compared to 1 and 2 for low-affinity surface structures. 相似文献

This paper submits a systematic analysis of user consumption patterns of several photovoltaic (PV)-powered rural dwellings in a Mediterranean area of Spain. the measurements have been carried out within the framework of two projects and assessed in contrast with other experiences. This analysis allows a consumption scenario developed previsouly to be tested by means of the classification of families according to the number and age of their members into three types—extended, mean and reduced—with the aim of establishing a few standard cases of optimization for sizing purposes. Because the use of AC current is indispensable, at least for domestic appliances, the scenario hereby proposed leads to PV system sizes of 160, 320 and 480 Wp for reduced, mean and extended families, respectively, enjoying a level of comfort similar to grid-conneced systems. 相似文献

A new formulation of a pomegranate-peel extract (PEm) obtained by PUAE (Pulsed Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction) and titrated in both ellagic acid (EA) and punicalagin is proposed, characterized and then analyzed for potential health properties in mice suffering from the experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE). PEm effects were compared to those elicited by a formulation containing EA (EAm). Control and EAE mice were chronically administered EAm and Pem dissolved in the drinking water, starting from the day 10 post-immunization (d.p.i.), with a “therapeutic” protocol to deliver daily 50 mg/kg of EA. Treated EAE mice did not limit their daily access to the beverage, nor did they show changes in body weight, but they displayed a significant amelioration of “in vivo” clinical symptoms. “Ex vivo” histochemical analysis showed that spinal-cord demyelination and inflammation in PEm and EAm-treated EAE mice at 23 ± 1 d.p.i. were comparable to those in the untreated EAE animals, while microglia activation (measured as Ionized Calcium Binding Adaptor 1, Iba1 staining) and astrocytosis (quantified as glial fibrillar acid protein, GFAP immunopositivity) significantly recovered, particularly in the gray matter. EAm and PEm displayed comparable efficiencies in controlling the spinal pathological cellular hallmarks in EAE mice, and this would support their delivery as dietary supplementation in patients suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS). 相似文献
