Shape-controlled synthesis of nanocrystalline titania at low temperature

The interesting shape (shuttle-like, sphere with needles, uniform particles) rutile titania were prepared by the hydrolysis of TiCl₄ in high acidic aqueous solution in the absence or presence of PEG-1000. PEG-1000 acted as dispersant, which could control the shape and size of the precipitate of titania. As a result, shuttle-like nanocrystalline appeared and the aggregation was improved with the increase of the amount of acid and the decrease of the concentration of TiCl₄ in the absence of PEG-1000. Uniform nanoparticles were obtained in the presence of PEG-1000 and the diameter of the particles decreased with increasing the amount of PEG-1000. This process simplification will lower production cost and make continuous process possible. The products were analyzed using X-ray diffractometer, transmission electron microscopy.

对原卟啉Ⅸ（ＰｒｏｔｏｐｏｒｐｈｙｒｉｎⅨ）与蛋白质结合物的吸收、荧光的激发、发射光谱等的研究，表明了在光作用下，其可见区发光（λｍａｘ６３５ｎｍ左右）与卟啉有关，而紫外区发光（λｍａｘ４２２ｎｍ左右）与蛋白质的色氨酸残基有关，其光谱特性与临床诊断选择的癌固有荧光特征峰基本相符。该研究结果为探讨癌的发光机理积累了有益资料．     

Study of the Complexation Behavior of Calixarene with Transition Metal Cations by UV—vis and Fluorescent Spectra

A new fluorescent compound based on calix[4] arene skeleton was synthesized.Its complexation ability with transition metal ions,such as Fe^3 ,Co^2 ,Ni^2 ,Cu^2 ,Zn^2 and Ag^ ,Was investigated by UV-vis and fluorescent spectra.

在ＮＨ３－ＮＨ４Ｃｌ缓冲溶液中（ｐＨ＝９．５），吲哚乙酸与磷钼黄的还原产物在滴汞电极上于－１．１０Ｖ（ｖｓ．ＳＣＥ）处产生一灵敏的极谱波，该波波高与吲哚乙酸的浓度在１．０×１０－７－５．０×１０－６ｍｏｌ／Ｌ范围内成线性关系，检测下限为５．０×１０－８ｍｏｌ／Ｌ。如在上述还原产物中加入偶氮胭脂红Ｂ、孔雀绿、甲基紫等染料及聚乙烯醇，可使极谱波的灵敏度提高，使吲哚乙酸的浓度在５．０×１０－８－１．０×１０－６ｍｏｌ／Ｌ范围内与波高成线性关系，检测下限降低至１．０×１０－８ｍｏｌ／Ｌ。

Two new compounds from Zingiber officinale

A new cyclic diarylheptanoid,1,5-epoxy-3-hydroxy-1-(3-methoxy-4,5-dihydroxyphenyl)-7-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-heptane (1),as well as a new monoterpene,10-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-hydroxy cineole (2) were isolated from the rhizomes of Zingiber officinale. The structures of compounds 1 and 2 were established based on their spectral data.In addition,the antioxidant activities of these compounds were also measured.     

Online extraction and determination of octylglucoside by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography with evaporative light-scattering detection

A reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method using evaporative light-scattering detection is developed for the determination of residual octylglucoside (OG) levels after a detergent exchange step for in-process samples of a vaccine antigen. The reversed-phase column not only provides separation of the OG but also functions as an extraction column to remove the vaccine antigen from the sample, thereby eliminating off-line sample manipulations. In addition to column selection, the mobile phase is optimized to enhance extraction and separation. The vaccine antigen is irreversibly bound to the column, allowing nonprotein components to interact with the column for separation and elution. The assay is linear over the range of 0.00050-0.050% OG. Precision tested at 0.0010% and 0.0050% OG is 2.9% and 7.2% relative standard deviation, respectively. The limits of quantitation and detection are determined to be 0.00050 and 0.000125% OG, respectively. Accuracy is determined to be 103 and 98%, based on spike recoveries of 0.0010% and 0.0050% OG, respectively.

钇对Ti-1100高温钛合金热稳定性和蠕变行为的影响

量了Ｔｉ１１００和Ｔｉ１１００／０１％Ｙ（质量分数）高温钛合金在６００℃／１００ｈ空气中暴露后的拉伸性能及在６００℃／１５０ＭＰａ／１００ｈ条件下的蠕变性能，利用透射电镜观察了合金室温及蠕变后的组织。结果表明，Ｔｉ１１００合金加入０１％的Ｙ后，由于原始β晶粒得到细化，明显改善了其热稳定性；固溶在基体中的硅原子阻碍位错滑移和攀移，使蠕变中的回复过程难于实现；稀土还抑制α２相的长大，所形成的氧化物也阻碍位错的运动。这些均有利于提高Ｔｉ１１００合金的抗蠕变性能。
