A mineral-filled in situ composite was prepared by a colloidal approach by first suspending kaolin filler particles in aqueous caprolactam, and then polymerizing caprolactam in situ at high pressure and temperature. The purpose of this colloidal in situ polymerization is to improve particle dispersion and to enhance interaction of the filler to the polymer matrix. X-ray diffraction studies of the in situ kaolin/Nylon-6 composites revealed that the x-ray peak corresponding to the α-crystal form of Nylon-6 diminished with increasing kaolin loading, while the γ-crystal structure became more pronounced. The degree of crystallinity of Nylon-6 remained fairly unchanged with the kaolin loading level in the in situ composites. Calorimetric and dynamic mechanical studies exhibited that the glass transition temperature of the resulting composite increased significantly with increase in kaolin concentration, suggesting strong filler-matrix interaction at the kaolin/Nylon-6 interface. Scanning electron microscopic (SEM) results showed uniform filler dispersion in the in situ composites relative to the conventional melt-mixed composites. Modulus and tensile strength of these in situ composites were found to be distinctively higher than that of the conventional melt-mixed kaolin/Nylon-6 composites. However, as typical for composite materials, drawability and fracture toughness decreased with increasing kaolin loading. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

For a graph H, the H-coloring problem is to decide whether or not an instance graph G is homomorphic to H. The H-coloring problem is said to have bounded treewidth duality if there is an integer k such that for any graph G which is not homomorphic to H, there is a graph F of treewidth k which is homomorphic to G but not homomorphic to H. It is known that if the H-coloring problem has bounded treewidth duality then it is polynomial time decidable. We shall prove in this paper that for any integers m, k, there is an integer n0 such that if G is a graph of girth ≥ n0 then any graph F of treewidth k homomorphic to G is also homomorphic to C2m+1. It follows from this result that for non-bipartite graphs H, the H-coloring problems do not have bounded treewidth duality. We also present some classes of directed graphs H for which the H-coloring problems do not have bounded treewidth duality. In particular, there are oriented cycles H for which the H-coloring problems do not have bounded treewidth duality. This answers a question of Hell and Zhu (Siam J. Suppose that G is a finite simple graph and w is a weight function which assigns to each vertex of G a nonnegative real number. Let C be a circle of length t. A t-circular coloring of (G, w) is a mapping Δ of the vertices of G to arcs of C such that Δ(x)∩Δ(y) = 0 if (x, y) ∈ E(G) and Δ(x) has length w(x). The circular-chromatic number of (G, w) is the least t for which there is a t-circular coloring of (G, w). This paper discusses basic properties of circular chromatic number of a weighted graph and relations between this parameter and other graph parameters. We are particularly interested in graphs G for which the circular-chromatic number of (G, w) is equal to the fractional clique weight of (G, w) for arbitrary weight function w. We call such graphs star-superperfect. We prove that odd cycles and their complements are star-superperfect. We then prove a theorem about the circular chromatic number of lexicographic product of graphs which provides a tool of constructing new star-superperfect graphs from old ones. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Authentication perpendicular arrays APAλ (t, k, v), as a special kind of perpendicular arrays, are introduced by D. R. Stinson in constructing authentication and secrecy codes. The effects of internals and gas distributors on the local dynamics of the bubbles in the conventional gas-solid fluidized bed were studied.Mesh-type internals with different opening areas(50%,70%and 90%)and different arrangements(two-layer and four-layer);and a sintered plate with a smaller pore size(1μm)and a perforated plate with a larger pore size as distributors were investigated.Differential pressure drops and local solids holdups were measured under various superficial gas velocities to compare the performances of the different types of internals and distributors.The instantaneous solids holdup signals from the optical fibre probe were used to further examine the local bubble dynamics in detail.Smaller bubbles were found,with the installation of internals or using the sintered plate,resulting in lower pressure drops and a higher bed expansion.Internals with reduced opening area or distributor with smaller pore size further leads to a higher changeover rate between the bubbles and dense phase,both axially and radially,and hence a better gas-solid contacting and an earlier transition to the turbulent flow regime of the bed.  相似文献

Huntington’s disease (HD) is a rare single-gene neurodegenerative disease, which can only be treated symptomatically. Currently, there are no approved drugs for HD on the market. Studies have found that MAPK11 can serve as a potential therapeutic target for HD. Regrettably, no MAPK11 small molecule inhibitors have been approved at present. This paper presents three series of compounds that were designed and synthesized based on the structure of skepinone-L, a known MAPK14 inhibitor. Among the synthesized compounds, 13a and 13b, with IC50 values of 6.40 nM and 4.20 nM, respectively, displayed the best inhibitory activities against MAPK11. Furthermore, the structure–activity relationship (SAR) is discussed in detail, which is constructive in optimizing the MAPK11 inhibitors for better activity and effect against HD.  相似文献

The thermal properties of a nanostructured semiconductor are affected by multi-physical fields,such as stress and electromagnetic fields,causing changes in temperature and strain distributions.In this work,the influence of stress-dependent thermal conductivity on the heat transfer behavior of a GaN-based nanofilm is investigated.The finite element method is adopted to simulate the temperature distribution in a prestressed nanofilm under heat pulses.Numerical results demonstrate the effect of stress field on the thermal conductivity of GaN-based nanofilm,namely,the prestress and the thermal stress lead to a change in the heat transfer behavior in the nanofilm.Under the same heat source,the peak temperature of the film with stress-dependent thermal conductivity is significantly lower than that of the film with a constant thermal conductivity and the maximum temperature difference can reach 8.2 K.These results could be useful for designing GaN-based semiconductor devices with higher reliability under multi-physical fields.  相似文献
