The objectives of this study were to address uncertainties in the solubility product of (UO2)3(PO4)2⋅4H2O(c) and in the phosphate complexes of U(VI), and more importantly to develop needed thermodynamic data for the Pu(VI)-phosphate system in order to ascertain the extent to which U(VI) and Pu(VI) behave in an analogous fashion. Thus studies were conducted on (UO2)3(PO4)2⋅4H2O(c) and (PuO2)3(PO4)2⋅4H2O(am) solubilities for long-equilibration periods (up to 870 days) in a wide range of pH values (2.5 to 10.5) at fixed phosphate concentrations of 0.001 and 0.01 M, and in a range of phosphate concentrations (0.0001–1.0 M) at fixed pH values of about 3.5. A combination of techniques (XRD, DTA/TG, XAS, and thermodynamic analyses) was used to characterize the reaction products. The U(VI)-phosphate data for the most part agree closely with thermodynamic data presented in Guillaumont et al.,(1) although we cannot verify the existence of several U(VI) hydrolyses and phosphate species and we find the reported value for formation constant of UO2PO4 is in error by more than two orders of magnitude. A comprehensive thermodynamic model for (PuO2)3(PO4)2⋅4H2O(am) solubility in the H+-Na+-OH-Cl-H2PO4-HPO2−4-PO3−4-H2O system, previously unavailable, is presented and the data shows that the U(VI)-phosphate system is an excellent analog for the Pu(VI)-phosphate system.  相似文献

3,4-Di-O-acylated derivatives 1-3 of a glucose-derived furanoid sugar amino acid (Gaa) were synthesized as novel peptide building blocks to study their effects on peptide conformation. Structural analysis of the di-O-myristoylated Gaa 3-containing Leu-enkephalin analog 4 by various NMR techniques and constrained molecular dynamics (MD) simulation studies established a well-defined β-turn structure in DMSO-d6 with an intramolecular hydrogen bond between PheNH → TyrCO.  相似文献

A series of nitroimidazoles were subjected to hydroxymethylations under a variety of conditions. Hydroxymethylation of 1-(2-hydroxyethyl), 1-(2-acetoxyethyl), and 1-(2-chloroethyl) substituted 5-nitroimidazoles with paraformaldehyde in dimethyl sulfoxide yielded the respective 2-hydroxymethyl analogs (5–7). However, attempts to hydroxymethylate 1-(2-hydroxyethyl), 1-(2-acetoxyethyl), 1-(2-cyanoethyl) substituted 4-nitroimidazoles and 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-nitroimidazole were unsuccessful. Treatment of 1-(2-acetoxyethyl)-5-nitro-2-imidazolecar-baldehyde(10) with hydroxylamine-O-sulfonic acid afforded a mixture of corresponding 2-carbonitrile (12) and 2-(N-hydroxy)carboximidamide (13). Hydrolysis of 10 with ethanolic hydrochloric acid yielded 8-ethoxy-5,6-dihydro-3-nitro-8H-imidazo[2,1-c] [1,4]oxazine (11) which, on subsequent reaction with hydroxylamine-O-sulfonic acid, afforded 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-5-nitroimidazole-2-(N-hydroxy)carboximidamide (15). Reaction of 4(5)-nitroimidazole with chloropropionitrile produced a mixture of the isomeric 1-(2-cyanoethyl) substituted 4- and 5-nitroimidazoles. Treatment of 2,4(5)-dinitroímidazole with chloropropionitrile afforded a mixture of 4(5)-chloro-5(4)-nitroimidazole and 1-(2-cyanoethyl)-4-nitro-5-chloroimidazoIe. Reaction of nitroimidazoles with acrylonitrile in the presence of Triton B yielded the corresponding 1-(2-cyanoethyl) substituted derivatives.  相似文献

A new chelating resin was synthesised by the modification of styrene-divinylbenzene (2%) copolymer and incorporation of dithiocarbamate groups. The polydithiocarbamate resin was characterised by elemental analysis, thermal studies and IR studies. The analytical characteristics of the sorbent were established and optimum sorption conditions for Cu, Ni, Pb, Fe, As and Mn determined. The total sorption capacity of the resin was 37 mg g−1 for Ni(II), 35 mg g−1 for Cu(II), 29 mg g−1 for Fe(III) and 23 mg g−1 for Pb(II). The optimum pH for the removal of metal ions was 3-5 for Ni(II), 5 for Cu(II), 4 for Fe(III) and 4-5 for Pb(II). High sorption capacity was observed when compared with other conventional chelating polymers. The sorption kinetics was fairly rapid, as apparent from the loading half time t1/2 values, indicating a better accessibility of the chelating sites.  相似文献

A new sphingolipid, (2S,3R,4E)-1,3-dihydroxy-2-[(nonadecanoyl) amino]-octadec-4-ene (1) along with ubiquitous batyl alcohol is isolated from the gorgonian, Junceella juncea Pallas (Gorgonaceae) of the Indian Ocean. Both aliphatic and aromatic amino sulfonamides such as mafenide ( 1a ) were synthesized in good yields (80–86%) by direct electrochemical hydrogenation of the corresponding nitriles in an undivided cell containing a Ni cathode, a Pt anode, and Raney Ni as catalyst (Table 1). The reaction can be performed without external supply of pressurized gas by in situ generation of H2. Slightly elevated temperatures (45°) and low current densities (10 mA/cm2) are favorable conditions for this type of electrochemical nitrile hydrogenation. Our synthetic protocol does not require high‐pressure equipment or chemical hazards, is environmentally very friendly, and more economical than traditional methods. The concentration of adsorbed H. radicals on the catalyst surface can be easily controlled by adjusting the electric potential, which may lead to improved product selectivity and, at the same time, reduces the risk of explosion and fire.  相似文献

Polyurethane (PU) foams can be used in many remediation applications as an isolation material to prevent the release of hazardous materials into the environment. The integrity of a PU foam was investigated in this study using short-term accelerated laboratory experiments including bioavailability assays, soil burial experiments, and accelerated bioreactors to determine the fate of PU foam in the soil where anaerobic processes are dominant. The experimental results have shown that the studied PU foam is likely not biodegradable under anaerobic conditions. Neither weight loss nor a change in the tensile strength of the PU material after biological exposure was observed. The FT-IR chemical signature of the PU foams was also nearly identical before and after biological exposure. The composition of the PU material (aromatic polyester and polyether PU) used in this study could have played a significant role in its resistance to microbial attack during the short-term accelerated experiments.  相似文献

Summary The coagulation concentration for silver iodide sol, both in presence of pyridine and dioxane, increases for mono- and bivalent coagulating electrolyte. In presence of a mixture of pyridine and dioxane in equal volume, the coagulation concentration assumes an intermediate value, which is nearer to dioxane. However, in presence of dioxane more bivalent electrolyte is needed than in presence of pyridine. If a bivalent coagulating electrolyte is added to a sol containing a mixture of pyridine and dioxane, the amount of electrolyte required to coagulate is less than pyridine and greater than dioxane. Thus silver iodide sol is more stable toward mono- and bivalent coagulating electrolytes. The degree of stabilization increases with the decrease of the dielectric constant of the dispersing medium. The intermediate values for dioxane pyridine mixture is accountable by the fact that dioxane acts as a solvent for pyridine. The PH value of the sol increases up to the coagulation point. Beyond this, there is an abrupt decrease. When the particles settle down completely a rise in PH is again noted on the further addition of electrolytes. The increase in the electrical conductance is more significant after coagulation. These changes have been explained by adsorption of the ions and due to the release of ions from the electrical double layer.
Zusammenfassung Die Koagulationskonzentration für Silberjodidsol in Gegenwart von Pyridin und Dioxan steigt für ein- und zweiwertige Elektrolyte an. In Gegenwart einer Mischung zu gleichen Volumen erh?lt man mittlere Werte, n?her denen zu Dioxan. Für Koagulation in Gegenwart von Dioxan ist jedoch mehr zweiwertiger Elektrolyt notwendig als in Gegenwart von Pyridin. Bei Koagulation mit zweiwertigem Elektrolyt verbraucht ein Sol mit der Mischung von Pyridin und Dioxan weniger als für Pyridin und mehr als für Dioxan. Daher ist das Silbersol gegenüber ein- und zweiwertigen Elektrolyten stabiler. Der Grad der Stabilisierung w?chst mit abnehmender Dielektrizit?tskonstante des Dispersionsmediums. Die Zwischenwerte der Dioxan-Pyridin-Mischungen lassen sich verstehen durch die Tatsache, da? Dioxan als L?sungsmittel für Pyridin wirkt. Der PH-Wert des Sols w?chst bis zum Koagulationspunkt, darüberhinaus erfolgt ein steiler Abfall. Wenn die Teilchen vollst?ndig absetzen, ist bei weiterer Zugabe von Elektrolyt ein erneuter Anstieg im PH feststellbar. Der Anstieg der elektrolytischen Leitf?higkeit wird nach der Koagulation ausgepr?gter. Diese ?nderungen lassen sich durch Ionenadsorption und Freiwerden von Ionen aus der elektrischen Doppelschicht erkl?ren.
