The results of investigation of the fragmentation of relativistic nuclei 9Be in an emulsion, which is accompanied by the formation of two 1.2-A-GeV He fragments, are presented. The angular measurements of the 9Be → 2He events are analyzed. The project assumes the design and construction of a universal high-intensity source of polarized deuterons (protons) using a charge-exchange plasma ionizer. The output D +↑ (H +↑) current of the source is expected to be at a level of 10 mA. The polarization will be up to 90% of the maximal vector (±1) for D +↑ (H +↑) and tensor (+1, ?2) for D +↑ polarization. Realization of the project is carried out in close cooperation with INR of the RAS (Moscow). The equipment available from the CIPIOS ion source (IUCF, Bloomington, USA) is partially used for the Dubna setup. The new source at the JINR Nuclotron accelerator facility will make it possible to increase the polarized deuteron beam intensity up to the level of 1010 d/pulse. A facile method for the synthesis of substituted pyrrolo[2,3-c]pyridine-7-ones is developed that applies an acid-promoted intramolecular cyclization of 2-pyrrolecarboxylic acid amidoacetals as key step. The synthesis is easily scaled up to 1.5?mol quantity with no yield decrease.
