The radical polymerization kinetics and mechanism of sterically hindered dialkyl fumarates (DRF) bearing various ester alkyl groups are described comprehensively. The overall polymerization reactivity of DRF, the initiation mechanism and the reactivity of the primary radicals in the polymerizations with azo initiators, the determination of the propagation and termination rate constants by means of electron spin resonance spectroscopy, the propagation mechanism and the microstructure of the polymers, and the chain rigidity of poly(DRF) and bimolecular termination process are discussed.  相似文献

A new imaging method using an incoherent-type pupil filter: SFINCS (Spatial Filter for INCoherent Stream) is presented. The new filter divides the imaging beam into several incoherent beams at the pupil plane thereby enlarging the depth-of-focus (DOF). The capabilities of SFINCS are studied by simulations and several ways to realize the method are also discussed. The experimental results show that SFINCS has excellent DOF expanding capabilities for a point-image such as a hole pattern in VLSI lithography, and that 1.7 μm DOF is obtained with a 0.30 μm hole pattern by an i-line projection lens with 0.57 NA (numerical aperture).Presented at the International Commission for Optics Topical Meeting, Kyoto, 1994.  相似文献

Photoneutron cross sections were measured for 91Zr, 92Zr, and 94Zr near the neutron separation energy with quasimonochromatic gamma rays. The data exhibit some extra components around the neutron threshold. A coherent analysis of the photoneutron data for 92Zr together with the neutron capture on 91Zr based on the microscopic Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov plus quasiparticle random-phase approximation model for the E1 strength has revealed the presence of an M1 resonance at 9 MeV. The microscopic approach systematically shows the same M1 strength in the photoneutron cross section for 91Zr and 94Zr. The total M1 strength is about 75% larger than the strength predicted by the systematics, being qualitatively consistent with the giant M1 resonance observed in the inelastic proton scattering.  相似文献

The nature of a very high-dimensional chaotic attractor in an infinite-dimensional phase space is examined for the purpose of studying the relationships between the physical processes occurring in the real space and the characteristics of high-dimensional attractor in the phase space. We introduce two complementary bases from which the attractor is observed, one the Lyapunov basis composed of the Lyapunov vectors and the another the Fourier basis composed of the Fourier modes. We introduce the exterior subspaces on the basis of the Lyapunov vectors and observe the chaotic motion projected onto these exteriors. It is shown that a certain statistical property of the projected motion changes markedly as the exterior subspace goes out of the attractor. The origin of such a phenomenon is attributed to more fundamental features of our attractor, which become manifest when the attractor is observed from the Lyapunov basis. A counterpart of the phenomenon can be observed also on the Fourier basis because there is a statistical one-to-one correspondence between the Lyapunov vectors and the Fourier modes. In particular, a statistical property of the high-pass filtered time series reflects clearly the difference between the interior and the exterior of the attractor.  相似文献

Does three-dimensional incompressible Euler flow with smooth initial conditions develop a singularity with infinite vorticity after a finite time? This blowup problem is still open. After briefly reviewing what is known and pointing out some of the difficulties, we propose to tackle this issue for the class of flows having analytic initial data for which hypothetical real singularities are preceded by singularities at complex locations. We present some results concerning the nature of complex space singularities in two dimensions and propose a new strategy for the numerical investigation of blowup.  相似文献

Oxygen maps derived from electron paramagnetic resonance spectral-spatial imaging (EPRI) are based upon the relaxivity of molecular oxygen with paramagnetic spin probes. This technique can be combined with MRI to facilitate mapping of pO(2) values in specific anatomic locations with high precision. The co-registration procedure, which matches the physical and digital dimensions of EPR and MR images, may present the pO(2) map at the higher MRI resolution, exaggerating the spatial resolution of oxygen, making it difficult to precisely distinguish hypoxic regions from normoxic regions. The latter distinction is critical in monitoring the treatment of cancer by radiation and chemotherapy, since it is well-established that hypoxic regions are three or four times more resistant to treatment compared to normoxic regions. The aim of this article is to describe pO(2) maps based on the intrinsic resolution of EPRI. A spectral parameter that affects the intrinsic spatial resolution of EPRI is the full width at half maximum (FWHM) height of the gradient-free EPR absorption line in frequency-encoded imaging. In single point imaging too, the transverse relaxation times (T(2)(?)) limit the resolution since the signal decays by exp(-t(p)/T(2)(?)) where the delay time after excitation pulse, t(p), is related to the resolution. Although the spin densities of two point objects may be resolved at this separation, it is inadequate to evaluate quantitative changes of pO(2) levels since the linewidths are proportionately affected by pO(2). A spatial separation of at least twice this resolution is necessary to correctly identify a change in pO(2) level. In addition, the pO(2) values are blurred by uncertainties arising from spectral dimensions. Blurring due to noise and low resolution modulates the pO(2) levels at the boundaries of hypoxic and normoxic regions resulting in higher apparent pO(2) levels in hypoxic regions. Therefore, specification of intrinsic resolution and pO(2) uncertainties are necessary to interpret digitally processed pO(2) illustrations.  相似文献

The magnetic composite materials that consist of transparent matrix and magnetic fine particles are expected to have large residual magnetization and coercive force because of their fine magnetic domain structure, and also to show magneto-optical effects. Silica gels containing magnetite (Fe3O4) fine particles were prepared by sol-gel method. The magnetic, optical and magneto-optical properties of the composites were investigated by measurements of magnetization curves, UV-visible spectra and Faraday rotation in visible range. The saturation magnetization of the composite was almost as same as that expected from the amount of magnetite fine particles in it. Although the composites had large and broad absorption at around 400 nm, they still maintained their transparency. The origins of decrement of transparency attributed to the optical absorption of magnetite and scattering due to magnetite fine particles. The whole composites showed positive Faraday rotation under external static magnetic field due to the large contribution of diamagnetic silica gel matrix. Magnetite contributed negative Faraday rotation with maximum at around 470–480 nm to the magneto-optical spectra of the composites.  相似文献

We sought to determine the effects of activation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ (PPAR-γ) on multilocularization of adipocytes in adult white adipose tissue (WAT). Male C57BL/6 normal, db/db, and ob/ob mice were treated with agonists of PPAR-γ, PPAR-α, or β3-adrenoceptor for 3 weeks. To distinguish multilocular adipocytes from unilocular adipocytes, whole-mounted adipose tissues were co-immunostained for perilipin and collagen IV. PPAR-γ activation with rosiglitazone or pioglitazone induced a profound change of unilocular adipocytes into smaller, multilocular adipocytes in adult WAT in a time-dependent, dose-dependent, and reversible manner. PPAR-α activation with fenofibrate did not affect the number of locules or remodeling. db/db and ob/ob obese mice exhibited less multilocularization in response to PPAR-γ activation compared to normal mice. Nevertheless, all adipocytes activated by PPAR-γ contained a single nucleus regardless of locule number. Multilocular adipocytes induced by PPAR-γ activation contained substantially increased mitochondrial content and enhanced expression of uncoupling protein-1, PPAR-γ coactivator-1-α , and perilipin. Taken together, PPAR-γ activation induces profound multilocularization and enhanced mitochondrial biogenesis in the adipocytes of adult WAT. Thermal stability of well-crystallized cubic boron nitride (cBN) films grown by chemical vapor deposition has been investigated by cathodoluminescence (CL), Raman spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with the cBN films annealed at various temperatures up to 1,300 degrees C. The crystallinity of the cBN films further improves, as indicated by a reduction of the relevant Raman line width, when the annealing temperature exceeds 1,100 degrees C. Structural damage or amorphization was observed on the grain boundaries of the cBN crystals when annealing temperature reaches 1,300 degrees C. The CL spectra are found to be unchanged up to 1,100 degrees C after annealing at 500 degrees C, showing the stability of the cBN films in electronic properties up to this temperature. New features were observed in the CL spectra when annealing temperature reaches 1,200-1,300 degrees C.  相似文献
