NOUVELLE SYNTHÈSE DE [1,2-A]BENZIMIDAZOLO-1,3,5,2-TRIAZAPHOSPHORINES ET DE [1,2-A]BENZIMIDAZOLO-1,3,5,2- TRIAZAPHOSPHORINE-2-THIONES

The condensation of N₁-benzimidazolyl amidines 1 with tris(dimethy- lamino)phosphine leads to the corresponding [1,2a]Benzimidazolo-1,3,5,2-triazaphosphorines 3 . The N₂-phosphoroamidine intermediates 2′ are isolated and yielded the corresponding cyclic compounds 4 upon heating. The oxidation by sulfur of the compounds 3 gives the thiooxide derivatives 4 .

The structure of these compounds is unambiguously confirmed by IR, ¹H, ³¹P, and ¹³C NMR spectroscopy and by MS for some products.     

HFIP-Functionalized Co3O4 Micro-Nano-Octahedra/rGO as a Double-Layer Sensing Material for Chemical Warfare Agents

Semiconductor metal oxides (SMO)-based gas-sensing materials suffer from insufficient detection of a specific target gas. Reliable selectivity, high sensitivity, and rapid response–recovery times under various working conditions are the main requirements for optimal gas sensors. Chemical warfare agents (CWA) such as sarin are fatal inhibitors of acetylcholinesterase in the nerve system. So, sensing materials with high sensitivity and selectivity toward CWA are urgently needed. Herein, micro-nano octahedral Co₃O₄ functionalized with hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) were deposited on a layer of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) as a double-layer sensing materials. The Co₃O₄ micro-nano octahedra were synthesized by direct growth from electrospun fiber templates calcined in ambient air. The double-layer rGO/Co₃O₄-HFIP sensing materials presented high selectivity toward DMMP (sarin agent simulant, dimethyl methyl phosphonate) versus rGO/Co₃O₄ and Co₃O₄ sensors after the exposure to various gases owing to hydrogen bonding between the DMMP molecules and Co₃O₄-HFIP. The rGO/Co₃O₄-HFIP sensors showed high stability with a response signal around 11.8 toward 0.5 ppm DMMP at 125 °C, and more than 75 % of the initial response was maintained under a saturated humid environment (85 % relative humidity). These results prove that these double-layer inorganic–organic composite sensing materials are excellent candidates to serve as optimal gas-sensing materials.     

Chemistry of bicyclic 5-6 systems: Synthesis of oxazolo[3,2-a]pyridines and their salts with a ring-junction nitrogen atom

The present review highlights the synthetic procedures reported for the preparation of oxazolo[3,2-a]pyridines as a class of 5-6 bicyclic heterocycles with a nitrogen atom at the ring junction. The different sections included the synthesis of the investigated analogs through the reactions of (1) β-ketoesters with α,β-unsaturated ketones (2) δ-oxoacids or esters or unsaturated carboxylic acids with glycinol derivatives (3) unsaturated ketoesters with enamines (4) ethoxymethylenes with amidoglycinol derivatives (5) pyridinium salts with phenylglycinol (6) Multicomponent reactions, and (7) Synthesis of tetracyclic systems. The aim of the present study is to demonstrate a synopsis of the synthesis of compounds containing oxazolo[3,2-a]pyridine skeleton with high yields using readily and accessible starting materials, and efficient synthetic routes until now. The stereochemistry of the obtained enantiopure heterocycles, the isolation of the isomers and the reaction mechanisms of the unexpected products are discussed.

Formation of 3-Sulfonyl-Substituted Benzo[a]heptalene-2,4-diols from Heptalene-1,2-dicarboxylates and Lithiomethyl Phenyl Sulfones

On treatment with 6 mol-equiv. of lithiomethyl phenyl sulfone at −78° in THF, dimethyl 5,6,8,10-tetramethylheptalene-1,2-dicarboxylate ( 1′b ) gives, after raising the temperature to −10° and addition of 6 mol-equiv. of BuLi, followed by further warming to ambient temperature, the corresponding 3-(phenylsulfonyl)benzo[a]heptalene-2,4-diol 2b in yields up to 65% (cf. Scheme 6 and Table 2), in contrast to its double-bond-shifted (DBS) isomer 1b which gave 2b in a yield of only 6% [1]. The bisanion [ 9 ]²⁻ of the cyclopenta[a]heptalen-1(1H)-one 9 (cf. Fig. 1), carrying a (phenylsulfonyl)methyl substituent at C(11b), seems to be a key intermediate on the reaction path to 2b , because 9 is transformed in high yield into 2b in the presence of 6 mol-equiv. of BuLi in the temperature range of −10° to room temperature (cf. Scheme 7). Heptalene-dicarboxylate 1′b was also transformed into benzo[a]heptalene-2,4-diols 2c – g by a number of lithiated methyl X-phenyl sulfones and BuLi (cf. Scheme 9 and Table 3).

Equivalences of comodule categories for coalgebras over rings

In this article we defined and studied quasi-finite comodules, the cohom functors for coalgebras over rings. Linear functors between categories of comodules are also investigated and it is proved that good enough linear functors are nothing but a cotensor functor. Our main result of this work characterizes equivalences between comodule categories generalizing the Morita-Takeuchi theory to coalgebras over rings. Morita-Takeuchi contexts in our setting is defined and investigated, a correspondence between strict Morita-Takeuchi contexts and equivalences of comodule categories over the involved coalgebras is obtained. Finally, we proved that for coalgebras over QF-rings Takeuchi's representation of the cohom functor is also valid.
